Wonder whats the stuff bout the "can't drop the restaurant name" (Enabling behavior btw) - What would stop the fella from for example making a restaurant review video for example where you obviouvsly would need to drop said name of the restaurant you visited? Surely you can't get into legal trouble by making a food review video no? Sure the actual reason for the video would be well known but legally what grounds would there be? There'd be a ton of creative ways to get the name of the restaurant out I feel like I mean they cant really get your ass for actually talking about how you were mistreated I feel like so there must be some other reason... People asking to name the restaurant, please trust that if we could, we would. Unfortunately as the restaurant refuses to comment we cannot name them as if we did, we could be sued. As an independent local newspaper (one of the few left in the UK) we are very careful about this. It could also lead to them coming for Oliver - which no one wants either. We know what we’re doing when it comes to the law - it’s not as simple as many of you think or hope. Oliver’s story has now been heard as far as New York which has spread awareness about his condition and hopefully reminded people to be kinder and have more empathy towards people with NF. I pointed out that had a person of color or a trans person been treated as you were, your government probably would have at least fined the restaurant to put it mildly. I understand how you feel, not wanting to make a big deal out of what happened; but you’ve been put in a position to speak up for others who may not look the way others think you should. God Bless you, I know how difficult a disease this is, I dated a man with this disease.
