hey what turbo and manifold is that?
K-14 I think,to be honest I really don’t remember which one I put one it because we use 3 different ones. Sorry
@@dennywood3347 np thanks for response
love the video bro, lovin the swap too, howdy from Oklahoma!
Only wish I still owed it. Should never have let it go
Ce cutie de viteze folosiți?
You still have the sammy? 2021
No unfortunately not I needed a new tractor and sold it 4 years ago.
Thanks you Matt. I really enjoy your videos, I wish my GTI was in as good a shape as yours. Waiting to see all the things you have in store for it. Take care and God Bless
Glad to hear another car guy who cares about the Bible! Everyone is just focused on themselves these days.
Thanks for the comment. When you find a AAZ motor go through it and do a full rebuild. Then send the fuel pump to Canada and have it built. The problem you will have is the rpm,s. There’s no way to get a higher gear for the Samuria transmission. Good luck and God bless. Have a good one
Hey Mr. Denny, greetings from Havelock North Carolina! How do you not have more subscribers! The samurai build brought me to you. I'm looking to do an AAZ build on my samurai very soon. Anyhow keep the cool content coming. Thanks for the knowledge and tips.
The black gti is for sale on Asheville Nc Craig’s list.
Denny! Where's part 1?!
It’s on there I just pulled it up
@@dennywood3347 Wow, forgot about this. Thanks man.
Your welcome brother. God Bless
The truck was sold last week.
I have one just like it 1.6 turbo diesel
7500 hundred if your interested
How much are you wanting?
This truck is now for sale . I have a new project and need to part with a few things
where is it listed?
How does someone get ahold of you I have a samurai and want to do a diesel swap liked what you did pls shoot me an email lmtvoffgridadventures@gmail.com have a bunch of questions
Thank you for the video, is there any way you could put a list together a list of the vendors and parts suppliers that you have used. Ive seen a bunch of these conversions but yours is by far the cleanest i have seen. Thanks & God bless
The rear taillights came from mk1 autohaus. The tires are 195-60-15 I was thinking about going with 205s and wish I had but they worked out real well. I didn’t lower the truck I am a southerner and if anything I would have lifted it 4 inches but that is in the works. As is a 1.9 aaz motor, the 1.6 turbo is getting 50.2 mph and runs great but I want more horses power. If you have more questions let me know and thanks for watching. Have a good one and god bless
So many questions...where did you get the rear lens for the signals? Did you lower it any? What size tires are you running on the GTI rims? This caddy is awesome looking!!
Thanks for the videos. How is highway deliverability. Top speed, rpm, acceleration. Thanks in advance!
I have the truck in the body shop now and will post a new video when I get it back. Thanks for watching
Ok I am sorry to say I dropped the ball on this.the problem was all my fault I put the new pump on and as I was installing the fuel lines I did not pay attention to the banjo bolts. Volkswagen has a in and a out banjo bolt and I had put the out in the main fuel line instead of the in bolt. In my defense the writing on top of the bolt was worn off. I was pissed when I figured it out.so I got new banjo bolts with the in and out printed on the top.
What size filter is that
I’ve never had this problem it seems like a miss but I’m afraid it’s washing down the cylinder wall with to much fuel,if anyone has advise or has had this problem let me know please.
Beautiful little Samurai ... You done a tidy job installing the VW Diesel !! 👍👍👍👍 Reading the comments , I was saddened to hear you had to Sell it ...😕 Captain.
I would go with the 1.3 ZoR turbo kit. Like night and day difference. AAZ is too heavy and no room.
To each their own. I've done both. I've done two TDI swaps, and one 1.3 with a CV carb and turbo, and I would much rather drive my diesel swaps. The 1.3 turbo was fun, but really lacked the torque that I wanted. All depends on your budget and what you're looking for as an end result, and what kind of driving or wheeling you're going to be doing.
@@evinsteven13 how does one get ahold of you I am wanting to do a diesel swap in my samurai you can email me at lmtvoffgridadventures@gmail.com hope to hear from you
No way 1.9 is not to heavy and a 1.3 with the turbo kit will not have no where near the torque the 1.9td will have lol.....
Canada catalyst they are on u tube. Real good people give them a call
Can someone please tell me what Company he mentions. Canada Cab....????
Cananda catalyst, ask for Andrew. God bless
@@dennywood3347 what the engine is
Cananda catalyst. Ask for Andrew. I just talked to them yesterday and they have 3 aaz 1.9 motors
@@dennywood3347 what engine what production wv, mercedes
1.9td Volkswagen aaz .
As for the coast I had around 3500 in the entire build but I did all the work except the pump
Aaz motors there all but impossible to find in the states
Glad it helped out. Unfortunately I had to sell it back in the summer I needed a new tractor and toys have to go when money is tight. I am looking for a amazing motor where did you run across those you found
Up north in Canada and finding a Samurai without rusty floorboards is next to impossible... I've got a couple of them that will need new tin in lots of places. Have the acme kit and a 1.6TD installed in an 87 tintop. I got it running and haven't found the time to finish it due to family health problems but i'll be getting to it soon. Thanks for the vids, lots of good information. I have since accumulated about 4 used 1.9 AAZ engines, all used and running but questionable condition, so a tear down and re-ring, bearings, seals, gaskets and Giles pump and injectors in order for any future install. A Samurai and an older MK2 Golf will be the focus of my daily driving requirements. Thanks again.
Great rig!! Exactly what i want to build one day, had an orange sami with a 16 valve gas motor swap. Put up more vids if you still have it! God bless!
Can you give me a ball park on how much a build like this cost? I’ve got a 93 that I’d eventually like to do.
$3000+ at least. I've done two.
Go through the motor top to bottom and make sure your starting with a good engine. The pump is the key to having it all work out like you expect. Good luck
good evening I would like to mount this engine on a samurai, does it have the design of the coupling plate between gearbox and engine? thanks
@@giacomoparafioriti9671 what motor do you have
Giles performance diesel is the first place to start. Pull the pump and send it off to him and have it rebuilt and then the rest is perty simply.
hey man I have a tracker im about to try and swap your AAZ looks perfect and Jeff referred me to a company here in California to grab an engine from them any advise you'd give me before I get into it?
