I feel like it’s worth giving some opinions and feedback on this cover. I respect the talent it took to make a good punk version of this song. I have a few issues with this that just made it kind of flop for me. The duality between dark Ren and Light Ren wasn’t really there sometimes which is a huge point to making the song work. I also feel like this song to work for another artist needed some changes to lyrics just because it’s so personal to Ren specifically. If there was a way the lyrics could have been adjusted to reflect your personal mindset that mirrors the original in some way. TLDR - great technical cover of the song but was lacking in the emotion of why the song was so good, and needed some original words to make it amazing.
