Fascinating that Desmond originally wanted Q to be a massive fan of Bond, constantly gushing about how cool it was that he got to make all of his gadgets and equipment, before he was told "No, Bond is the guy who breaks or loses your equipment on the regular. You don't worship him, you think he's annoying as hell." and Desmond agreed that made for a far better dichotomy between the two characters.

Q gets older but bond doesn't. obviously, this is fake. this is staged.

It's rather funny that it wasn't until their second appearance in the same movie that we see the Q and Bond relationship that defined them for us.

no, THANK YOU!!, its not bond without the Gadgets... but there are none without Q! and Llewelyn was the BEST. the only better "gadget discovery" scenes where from Inspector Gadget (the modern one with Matthew Broderick)- that only for comedy value{when he first found himself, trying out his body}, for 'serious' bond was it!!!

.Desmond Llewellyn's Q was like the Santa Claus of the spy world... They came up with some of the most amazing toys!

It's hilarious every Gadget that's in the James Bond movies ... comes in handy ... in each one of the movies like they know ahead of time that he's going to need it lol

I would have liked to have seen Desmond make a guest appearance in “Star Trek:The Next Generation” as a senior “Q”who would show up to give John DeLancie’s Q character a galactic ration of snark.
