Perry’s always pushed his voice to the limits. But he’s getting up there in age and it sounds like they’re only tuned down a half step from the original. That’s just not enough for a 65-year-old man who sings like that. He needs to follow the David Bowie playbook and tune down a half step every year.😂. Seriously though they should be playing that song an E not Gb.

Age may be a contributing factor with the decline of some people's voices but not always. Anyone who saw The Cure for their 2023 concert can attest that Robert Smith still sounded EXACTLY like he did in his 20's - it's absolutely mind bliwing how incredible his voice his! I get that's rare though.

He doesn't sound drunk. I hear someone who is losing their voice and straining it incredibly hard to sing through it... which obviously isn't working. As for the other videos I've seen of him, he looks and moves a man up in age that hasn't been kind to his body over the years. Or maybe he's wasted. Who knows. 🤷

I give Farrel a pass, he's aging dont forget, vocal range will suffer as its just not as elastic. Instrumentals are spot on. We all have glitchy spells and he's not horribly off, just cant expect perfection doing live vs studio ESPECIALLY trying to match a tune from 34 years ago. And he at least acknowledges the fact and apologizes. But, I hope it's not a meechanical issue needing surgery which often happens due to polyps.

Perry Farrell is in his 60s and as singers get older their voice is not the same when they were younger.With the exception of Mick Jagger,Robert Plant and Roger Daltry are not the same vocal wise and neither is Deborah Harry of Blondie you cannot expect them to have the same voice when they were younger.

I wish when things like this happen the audience would help by singing along. We’re all supposed to be helping each other out.

Was there Sept 11. Jane Says was the weakest moment but they pulled out of it. I'd like to mention the moments that soared,and there were many, with Perry ripping right with it. Perry is still very charismatic in his shambling way. There was a moment where he stopped a fight and somehow managed to turn the situation on a dime into an uplift with the whole crowd singing acapella and then ferociously launched into the next song. Magic.

As a musician who has toured. You have a serious responsibility to the people who spent gobs of money/hired baby sitters/drove for hours just to see you. Your pay day for the event is huge. If you can't pull it together for a tour, you shouldn't be in a band. The first single I heard on the new album felt uninspired and weak. The lyrics were trash. I didn't expect much out of them to be honest.

He sounds great.

His voice sounds as shredded as mine has gotten on nights I've had to talk a lot in my high decibel work environment. Perry is 65, a bit older than the other boys, and has been out there doing a pretty busy tour. He was pretty on point at the Dallas show weeks ago; aging, yes, but the vocals hit and he had fine stage presence. On the bright side, it's good to know all of his vocal work is still 100% live as opposed to many other artists.

I can't stand this band, never did care for em, mainly because of the singer. The musicians are great, but I gotta say, in dudes defense, it does sound more like his voice is just blown. Other than the things he was accused of. But, I can't see him In this particular clip either.

I have heard this has happened a couple of times this tour :\ I also hate when people in the audience talk loudly during shows though ugh, stfu and let us listen to what we came for.

Guys apparently he was OK tonight (Sept 11th). The show on Sept 10th must have been a very off night. Yes he could been drunk and/or high but apparently he pulled it together tonight.

People talking about him being drunk or high messing up the performance 😂 give me a break. Jane's addiction was born of addiction they used to play strung out, some of their best shows were when they were high. His voice is just not the same anymore plain and simple, it has nothing to do with him being high or drunk... The dudes always been weird, he's always been off, that's who he is, so for all your newcomers seeing him for the first time just know that's who he is and always has been. Shoot he used to do interviews and you wouldn't be able to understand half the stuff he was saying. All you true fans should know this.

Thank you so much for posting. I was one of many faced with a horrible choice (having never seen Duran Duran live either), and because Duran Duran was killing it, and I was just too exhausted by then to run back over to this stage. . . so sad to have had this bad overlap and miss Tones on Tail. Saw Bauhaus the first year, and Love and Rockets the 2nd year, so would have loved to complete the trifecta!

I love Lol but I’m not sure putting a trumpet in A Forest is forgivable.
