They should do this more often. Running other locomotives' whistles to hear what they sound like is a good idea! Also this one is FUCKING nostalgic man

I’m gonna be there this Saturday just for this reason alone. Will be the only time I hear the whistle in person.

I felt like if 3254 is restored back to operation but I'm sad that 3254 won't able to run again, I wish if someone will repaired 3254's frame and other pieces has being jamed by the collision but no hope.

Any word from them lately? it's been a long time since I heard any recent new news. Have they stopped, or are they not working on it right now, or are they not saying anything and just opted to be surprise? I am pretty concerned right now.

It's sounds good! But it kinda sounds like Grand Trunk Western #6325

2102 will be making it's first run beyond the new bridge down to the former Lehigh Valley Railroad track and up through the gorge as far as Tunkhannock for the first time on June 22, 2024. I'm going to be on it in standard coach hopefully near the front of the train. I rode a Reading to Jim Thorpe run on Oct 1, 2022. This year will be my fourth time behind 2012. The other two times were April 1988 South Hamburg to Temple and Sept. 7, 1991 Emmaus to Pennsburg. The June 22 excursion boards in Nesquehoning at the former KME/Kovatch facility that R&N now owns.

OH MY GOD!! At first I thought Baldwin 26 was using the whistle from my favorite locomotive (CN 3254), but the whistle actually belongs to its cousin, CN 3377 LOL. I'm glad Steamtown is using whistles from locomotives that are not operational!!!

I don't know what caught my attention most in the video: Baldwin 26 taking a tour outside of Steamtown, or her using 3713's whistle, or the date of the video. Because 02/12/2012 was the last day that the excursion train (pulled by 3254) passed through this place, and 11 years later the train finally “returned” but led by 26 (and in the future by B&M 3713 and CN 3377 :)

I hope their new owner puts them into good use. SMS is planning to have them restored to operation.

Very nice. I have the Bachmann #1361, though it's the only K4 I have, and mine doesn't have a sound decoder.
