3-0 Azurite Sea Draft Deck Normally, I would avoid 7 cost uninkables, but Energy Blast won 3 games for me due to the targeted removal. Getting up to 7 ink is difficult with limited card draw and ramp in this set, but I was fortunate to have slower tempo matches allowing me to play this.

3-0 Azurite Sea Deck The Longboat and Pixie Dust really helped in stealing lore, but having 2 Pixie Dust plus an uninkable count of 7 led to some awkward play so I would recommend not drafting more than 1 if your uninkable count is 6 . Rush Abu and Kakamora did work and there appears to be an abundance of playable 3 drop whereas good 5 drops were few.

Should of taken Zillo beast malevolence
@@stevensmith8042 Agreed. I was too worried about having too many late game cards.
Thanks for sharing your drafts, I've learned a lot watching our channel. I'm a big fan of SWU draft. Some thoughts this one, please comment if you do not agree. P1P1 Green Subjugating Starfighter 3/5 (my ranking) Yellow Hidden Sharpshooter 3/5 Green Cruscant Guard 3/5 (good 1st and later turn play) with your leaders not knowing whats comming I'd probably take one of those 3 as you will stay with any of your 2 leaders colors Lethal Crackdown (I'd rate it as 2.5/5) - issue here is you take damage so it's only effective with low power units, probably Sentinels, wich there aren't many in this set and blue seems to be the weekest color in this set Pitty you don't have a good heroism leader (Sorry Padme;-) - plo koon is excelent and would be tempting For blue villany there was a great card 'Devastating Gunship' (my rating 3.5/5) but again, blue seems to be the weekest color P1P2 Kraken seems as excellent card 4/5 P1P3 Reprocess 3/5 but not an early card - agree on this pick as well P1P4 a good pack for blue/green villany Green Confederaate Courier 3/5 Blue Wartime Trade Official 3/5 Blue Calculating Magnaguard 3/5 P1P5 Agree on Providence destroyer when you decided on blue, but B2 Leginaries are good as well and would keep you sill open on second color with that steady supply of good green cards you got along the way :D P1P6 Republic Arc-170 3/5 Resupply 3/5 Btw. what's your take on the separatist battle tank ? P1P7 Subjugating Starfighter it is. P1P8 I'd probably take the ryloth militia as it's one of the better turn 1 plays, clone wars seems tricky to use (unless you have different experience) Rest I'd probably draft in a similar fashiom with some exceptions, but I'd tempted to pick Zillo Beast and Malevolence with this color combination. Also you picked perilous position instead of Droid Commando whith is and excelent card and can be used as a removal - Droid Deployment was also a choice there. In the end of your comment, you mentioned that Yellow Villany was wide open but that was not the feeling I've got from the 1st pack. Quite the opposite, the 1st pack seemed to be yellow dry, second one - also not too much yellow. Third one though - massive yellow support. In general I agree with the colors you've picked. I hope you upload our games, it's very educational to see the game flow.
P1P1 - I chose Lethal Crackdown as I was having a discussion about the card after the last draft with two other players. They valued it highly, and I considered it to be non-conditional removal (aside from leaders) with a drawback. It comes down one turn earlier than Vanquish and I figured I could pair it with either Wat or Jango, and I was hoping to follow up with Devastating Gunship when the pack comes back around for P1P7, which did not happen, while providing me with potential follow up picks of Subjugating Starfighter, Coruscant Guard, or Hidden Sharpshooter. I was definitely committing to Villainy even though the first pack had good Heroism units as I felt that 4 out of the other players would be going Heroism. In hindsight, I should have gone Devastating Gunship as it's a potential 2 for 1 card and a space unit if I was committing to Blue or taking the Subjugating Starfighter for Ambush and leaving other colors open. I do agree that taking Starfighter, Hidden Sharpshooter, or Coruscant Guard was the better play as it provided flexibility and I was overcommitted by focusing on the removal card from the start. P1P2 - Kraken is just a powerful card especially paired with Wat. Potential follow ups of Ryoka Militia, Coruscant Guard, or The Clone Wars would be great. Since I chose blue early on, I was hoping to combo The Clone Wars with Disruptive Blast for a nice value play. P1P3 - With a heavy focus on units in limited and being able to potentially create 4 droids for 3 and prevent decking out, I thought Reprocess would be great with Wat. P1P4 - Confederate Courier is a great card in this set for limited with exploit and for Wat in particular. And I was hoping to get either Magnaguard or Wartime Official on the comeback, which I did get Wartime Official. P1P5 - The Providence Destroyer ended up committing me to blue as I still had time to pivot here. The B2 Legionnaires would be the best pick if I wanted to keep my options open, but the Providence Destroyer is a beast in space. P1P6 - The vanilla 3 cost 3/4 space unit is great, but I was tempted to take the foil rare Mas Amedda for the collection and potential card draw. Resupply would be good for ramp, but I wasn't confident on it synergizing with Wat and trying to get units out for him early. This is also where I would have taken the Genosis card if I didn't commit to Blue. Separatist Battle Tank is a trap card in my mind. It can be cheated our early, but a single Vanquish, Take Captive, Merciless Contest, etc. can be game breaking and a huge value play for the opponent. If played with using droids for exploit, I feel like it can be difficult to deal with, but generally, not a big fan of potentially out tempo-ing myself. P1P8 - 100% agree with Ryloth being the best pick here. I took Clone Wars for three reasons - 1) I didn't have it in my collection and it was a rare. 2) I never played it so wanted to test it out. 3)I wanted to try and get the combo with Disruptive Blast. P1P11 and P1P12 - Getting Manufactured Soldiers and Droid Starfighter for the last two picks felt amazing as playable cards. P2P1 - I should have taken Zillo Beast as I did just draft the Resupply and the Infantry of the 212th isn't an impactful card. Also, considering the Yellow cards available in this pack, I could have still pivoted to Yellow Wat or Green Jango with only 3 blue cards taken so far. With two Infiltrating Destroyers in the pack and the potential to pick up both, it would have been a great card for my curve. However, the lack of seeing impactful yellow cards in P1 made me think that the color was heavily contested. P2P2 - I wanted the Malevolence, but I love Perilous Position as a tempo/control card. Appreciate the comments and the feedback as it helps me reevaluate my draft decisions.
@@xelephanor1404 Huge thanks for responding to m comments and sharing our way of thinking, most appreciated. I've learned a lot thanks to you. I'm looking forward to seeing your future SWU draft videos. Wish you the best on our games. Peace!
A very intresting draft, could you tell me the reasoning behind picking 1st the 1/2 Villany Space unit? Seems even Patrolling AAT looks like a better option if you want to stay open. But, there are great picks in heroism, although with some commitment attached : Low Altitude Gunship, Obi-Wan's Aethersprite, Pelta Supply Frigate
@@piotrwesoowski1050 Definitely agree with you in that it’s not a typical P1P1 and generally I would not recommend it as it’s generally not an impactful card that you want to go with first pick. With a Mace Windu leader on board 2 seats to the left of me with no other red leaders, a likely obi wan leader 3 seats to the left of me, and an all heroism leader 2 seats to the right of me in a 6 man pod, I was thinking that heroism would be a hotly contested lane. On top of that, person to the right of me had Quinlan (he went Count Dooku), and person to the left of me had Jango and Quinlan (he went Quinlan) and I felt that Yellow would be contested also. With a heavy field for heroism, I wanted to go with Wat, partly because I did not use him yet this set. With that, I was envisioning a fast aggro deck to have targets for his ability and the 1 drop saboteur space unit would be great to keep getting damage on the opponent. I was hoping to supplement with Droid Deployment and Political Pressure ideally. I did hate draft Clearing the Field with a potential pivot to Heroism, but I was able to obtain enough tempo cards to build out my aggro deck. Normally, I do not advocate committing this early to a leader, but with the way the field looked and my desire to use Wat, this came together with an aggro/tempo deck that conceded initiative due to playing multiple actions per turn. One of the most back breaking plays is utilizing Wat’s ability on T4, deploy, attack and buff again for an extra 4 damage that turn.
@@xelephanor1404 Thanks for all the details you shared! The information about the leaders other people on the right have (and generally across the table) is really vital for proper drafting, and what you described looks like Wat Tambor was the best leader to focus on. I had the chance to play against Wat in the prerelease and he made a good impression on me, pity it's a rare but a strong one. And yes, Watt's T4 was great the way you played it. Congrats on the win.
@ Thanks. I’m trying to remember to capture that information in either the description or verbally in the start of the videos going forward, but I forget sometimes. It is such a critical part of drafting to see potential signals from the available leaders before the draft even begins.
Keep up the good work

Little cheeky to write down the damage instead of using dice or tokens on the base lol
@@Calel_98 i figure it’s practice for competitive events. I know in Lorcana and Magic, writing on a notepad is best practice for competitive events.
13:20 - No attack into Qi'ra with Jabba and remove her? He takes 6 damage but gets the threat off the board. And the Take Captives would effectively deal with any threats that came out, even if Qi'ra shielded them up.
@@ajvakarian I was playing around Detention Block Rescue as taking the 6 with Q’ira would put Jabba in range for that when I start using Take Captive. However, I did put myself at risk for Fell the Dragon and losing out on a lot of value if they played it. With Weequay Pirate Gang ready to be smuggled to finish out Q’ira, I got greedy to maximize resources as typically 3 strength isn’t enough to kill a fresh unit in the late game.
Wow thats a lot of vader mats!
Also, you couldve had the sickest blue yellow hero deck with fennec of all time. Think you got locked in on jabba way too early.
@@rezzytheskyguy lol
@@rezzytheskyguy P1P1 i was debating between Zuckuss or Take Captive. Zuckuss is a great body, but I love Green and Yellow Capture cards for tempo so I was hoping to snag Take Captive and follow up with Zuckuss if he came back around or pivot to Fennec if strong hero cards came out. Person to the left of me had Fennec, Q’ira and Bo Katan, all heroes for the person to the left of them, and there was a Cad Bane player furthest from me so I didn’t want to commit to Fennec off the bat while having options to pivot. The person to the right of me had Boba which made me leery of heroes early on. All three of my leaders I would have felt comfortable playing so I wanted to leave options open. By the end of the first pack, I was getting ready to pivot to Green Fennec, but there weren’t as much attractive power cards in heroism vs villainy. I didn’t commit to Jabba until the end as I was still seeing if I would have enough for Cad Bane.
Hey man why release this one if you're gonna have the packs out of frame and a deck box in frame for 30 mins? Not knocking you i like watching your drafts but this one is kinda unwatchable
@@rezzytheskyguy Thanks for the callout. Forgot my phone stand and was trying to jury rig a setup. Didn’t come out the way I wanted and it was a bad draft with me passing on 3 legendaries.
@@xelephanor1404 you did indeed pass on 3 legendaries 😂
@@rezzytheskyguy yeah and I needed all three for my collection. Rough night and only went 2-1 in the end. At least my buddy ended up with the foil TIE Silencer.
You coulda had the sickest Blue/Red deck of all time i think. Redemption, Yoda, all the cargo transports
Showcase and a baller draft deck! That must have felt great.
Yeah, that definitely caught me off guard and was a nice surprise. Once the showcase Jabba showed up, I knew I wanted to play it and was happy to get a good set of cards to draft and play with him.
Nice to see another SWU draft. And 2 legendaries! Congrats! How did this one do? Did the Kylo do much work for you?
Yeah, happy to be drafting again. Had to stop for a month due to real life commitments, but was great to get back into it. P1P1 of Kylo Ren made me want to commit to Rey right off the bat. I ended up going 2-1 losing in the finals to Blue Cad, but I definitely wonder if I could have done better if I didn’t try and force Rey from the start. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play Kylo once across all three matches (7 games total).
Noticed you passed up a Legendary Second Chance. When you draft do you just look for cards that are useful or do you take cards that may be helpful to your opponents even though they don't help you just to take them away. I've seen that a lot at my draft nights. People will take cards they can't use just to stop others from being able to. And I know me personally I'll take the legendary just because it is one.
So, for me, it depends on the format and the group of people I am playing it, along with the price of the card and whether I need it for my collection. If I don’t have the card, I am more likely to draft it just to have it. However, if I am in a highly competitive pod with great players and the prizing is good, I aim to draft to win. If the card is worth at least $10, I lean toward taking the money card as that pays for half of the draft right there. As for hate drafting, it’s not ideal, but you need to keep track of how many unplayables are drafted, the leaders of your pod mates, and the cards passed in those colors previously. If I see something like a Modded Cohort come around with no Boba Fett leaders, I am figuring that no one is on Green Heroism. Whereas if I see a Cad Bane to the left of me and Yellow Cards disappearing, I’d grab a Chain Code Collector or Enfys Nest to prevent those power cards if my draft pool for my colors are weak.
Nice pull with Poe! And cool deck with Boba Yellow. That Tarfful made for a quick decision but switching to yellow from blue - 👍🏻. Did the Wookiee synergy play out much?
Nice observation with Tarfful and the potential wookie synergy. Unfortunately, I didn’t draft enough Wookies to leverage it. Deck did great side from playing a han who kept dropping 5 drops and up.
Bossk is tricky to draft with you need to grab bounties but when to grab them over other cards knowing they might not coming back is the key. I also think you need pumps with him. I agree getting too many 5 drops and having a balanced curve is odd. I am still high on him as a leader in draft but the balance is something you need to be aware of.
Thanks for watching and the feedback. Definitely an interest leader as he did help me win a sealed event. Like you said, where to take a bounty is tricky due to its inherent value for his deck vs others, and I did expect some to come back around.
Very cool. I love seeing how a draft works.
Really enjoy your videos. I was curious what stand you use to record?
@@Moy_ I use an Ocyclone Stand with my Iphone to record
What camera are you using?
Iphone with an Ocyclone Phone Stand
Definitely agree with your comments. Especially passing up a Relentless Pursuit for yet another 5 drop in the 3rd pack was bad.
I think the cards that really stood out you didn’t go for were Guild Target and Relentless Pursuit. Guild Target with Bossk is very good, especially when equipped to a unique. Relentless pursuit is fantastic with Cad & Bossk because you can capture from either arena with your leader and drop a shield on them. And it’s hard to get rid of them without Rivals Fall. So it acts like hard removal. Best capture in the game, imo. I agree you might have had too much top end. With Bossk, I would aim for at least 4-6 bounties, if for no other reason than to trigger his leader ability. Bounty posting can also be helpful if on the lighter end of bounties. Lastly, surprise strike is still awesome and Jetpack has done some great work for me.
Hey! These videos are cool, what equipment do you use to film them? It works really well 👌🏻
Thanks for watching! I use my phone plus an ocyclone stand. Allows me to set up quickly as I move from spot to spot.
just as a heads up you were playing around the Cad Bane ability wrong with Lurking Tie Phantom out. As long as you control Lurking Tie Phantom, you can negate the Cad Bane damage as you can always target that unit and it cannot take damage from anything other than combat.
@@ChadestBane Thanks for highlighting that! Meant to mention it as a follow up comment as I was inquiring about that interaction myself afterwards. Always fun playing with new cards, but definitely leads to some confusion early on as people get familiar with the new interactions.

Goals, one day
At 9:26 when your opponent attacks with Kanan for 7, you only put 3 damage on your base.
Sigh. Good catch. I actually only put 2 on as I was suppose to put a 5 and a 2 since I was doing increments of 5 for the dice. Thanks for pointing it out and why I need to get an actual counter instead of using pips. My normal method is my phone or a notepad when I’m playing in more competitive settings, but since I have started recording the games, that takes away the phone. Appreciate the comment and helps me to do better.
@@xelephanor1404 Yeah, dice is tricky! I usually use an app, there are a few now that are specifically made for SWU. Your opponent had an interesting deck, spectre synergy in a Sabine deck, I've never seen that. I'm really enjoying your videos, it's fascinating to watch draft from first person perspective! 👍
Watched all of your drafts and most of the time agree. Wish you would have went full chirrut mode for this one tho. Seemed like you really wanted to.
Honestly, if I saw some more power cards in blue/heroism, I would have. Takedown, Vanquish, Yoda, Dodonna, Kanan, or Ghost would have led me to commit harder while picking up those Battlefield Marines. When I finally saw the Kanan, it was a little too late to pivot again.
@@xelephanor1404 that’s fair. I do wonder if going repairs and other heals is a viable way to go in draft with him. You know you will always have chirrut on his flip turn
@@patrickduke5964Fair. Not too sure how to optimize him without leaning hard into upgrades and heals. Even then, he’s so susceptible to removal. Reviewing my game matches, I went up against Blue Boba, Blue Sabine, Blue Sabine, and the 3-0 pod winner was Green Krennic. I’m glad I pivoted away from Chirrut as this explains the dearth of the Blue power cards.

Yeah. Great P1P1. Too bad I didn’t have a better leader to leverage it, but I was tempted to try.
spec force doesn’t stop overwhelm
ngl i hate these kind of players. sounded like he was not having fun at all.
Thanks for watching. My opponent actually is a great guy. He’s the one who taught me the game and he helped get me a lot of bulk to start off my collection when product was scarce. We’ve played each other numerous times between Lorcana and SWU and he’s always been awesome and helpful.
Ursula’s Lair provides a form of card advantage to recycle your more powerful chars in a format where card advantage (card draw, 2-for-1 cards, etc.) is at a premium. Cards like medallion weights, great stone dragon, and mob song are some of the best value cards due to how value they generate in this format. Now, I honestly do think I have been overvaluing Ursula’s Lair as it has not provided as much value as I would like due to it being targeted right away or its uninkable nature leading to it getting stuck in my hand. However, it does have the potential for the most value amongst the cards for board impact if it recycles a card like Belle, Dolores, Pluto, Mulan, etc. In hindsight, I would probably take Li Shang or Pluto as their value as a premier 5 drop in draft is great. I do like Aurora, but without items, her body is understatted for her cost. Ariel can take a couple hits as a 2 lore threat, but her 3 str leaves a lot to be desired for a top end card and her ability is difficult to trigger due to very few draftable songs this set. (Mob song notwithstanding)
Thanks! Piett was one of the MVP’s of this deck. He put in work transitioning from mid to late game and helping control the board.
Thanks for watching and for the comments. Funny thing is that I didn’t even see the OB in any of my games. The Takedowns and Strike Trues did a lot more and helped me get to 3-0. Passing on Power of the Dark Side for Black One could have been the biggest regret as I thought the legendary Black One was worth a little more. Passing on K2SO as a money card almost cost me as my finals opponent took it and did some work against me (with some miscalculation on my part)
Ambushing the Gladiator into the recently buffed Bright Hope, defeating it, AND surviving was a well set up power move. Nice!
That was a great draft. Found a clear lane and was reinforced by the P1P1 of OB. I actually agree Strike True at P1P2 was probably the better pick as it kept things a bit more open than fully committing to Green villain right out of the gate. And you still were able to pick up two more Gladiators. You could tell you were getting a ton of great stuff Packs 1 & 3 but pack 2 was a little tougher (im surprised the drafter to your left passed on Gideon if he played Blue Tarkin). Well done!
Why did you take that location as your very first pick? I would've definitely picked Ariel, Aurora or Li Shang. Just wondering what your reason is for thhat location specifically? (Or Pluto is also a good pick when it came back around)
I think you overvalued the Starvipers! 3 in a Leia deck and you passed up two solid Rebel cards for two of them. You definitely picked the right lane though. You were getting passed some serious gas in pack 3. Great video, thanks for uploading!
Agreed. Was thinking Leia normally has initiative so the sustain from the Starvipers would help. Needed more rebels though.
heads up, maximum firepower doesn’t work on tapped units.
Do you have a ruling on that as I don’t see why it doesn’t work with tapped units?
Of course it works on tapped units, to all units, ground, space or leader. Since it is not an attack, it works every time.
It is draw , then resource and then ready cards .
Yep. You’re absolutely right.
That was very nice of you to let your opponent play with inferno four completely wrong the entire match
Whoa! Good catch! I am too used to scry abilities on attack from Lorcana that I forgot this ability is only on play and on defeated. Funny thing is my opponent plays a lot as this is his main tcg and has done several showdowns so we both had a huge brainfart on this.
Nice game! What do you use for a filming setup?
It’s a phone and an OCyclone stand. Not as nice as those setups that show both sides of the board cleanly, but at least this way, my hand is demonstrated cleanly.
@@xelephanor1404 I prefer this way I think. Top down often has horrible glare making it tough to see. And I think it’s interesting to see your thought process with cards in hand, resourced, etc.
@@iam1hobbit awesome. Glad to hear it so I can keep the same setup.
Huge early pivot
Nice catch. Yeah, I wanted to lean into Boba with a backstop of IG-88 especially when I saw Imperial Interceptor and Ruthless Raider in back to back packs. However, once I saw heroes especially two Dodonnas kept getting passed to me, I pivoted to Command Heroes. Aggression pairs nicely with Leia and I should have committed more to aggro and rebels than I did.
@@xelephanor1404 Yeah I also thought that while watching. Would have for sure picked Battlefield marines over the 2nd starviper and would not have played resuply in this deck. Thanks for the vide9. Was fun to watch
Yeah, the extra marine would have been better with Leia since it has the best stats of any 2 drop while also having the rebel trait. I underestimated how much space I would be able to get. The resupply was more of a sneaky way to cheat out Leia a turn early. It helped me in game 2, but wasn’t as impactful as I would have thought.
Leia is such a strong draft deck if you have a lane on rebels.
@@ajvakarian agreed. I should have committed harder as I didn’t have as many as I would like.
Was nice meeting you yesterday! Nice job on the 2-1 night!
Thanks! Great meeting you too and always happy to see new faces!
With all the superlaser techs you saw, The Emperor would also have been one heck of a leader to go with...
Yeah. I was definitely regretting that pass considering all the green black cards available throughout the draft.
I am jealous as hell you gys are drafting my area does not have the product for drafts
Yeah, we’re very fortunate that Ron at Pastimes Games made sure to set aside product for events. It has helped the community continue to grow every week.
Nicely played!
Thanks. Honestly, the game would have gone completely different if he had attacked the alliance dispatcher with his probe droid on T2. That allowed me to even have a T2 play with Wampa.
The guy beside me in my draft was passed a cunning also. Insane congrats
It’s such a powerful card that I would try to force yellow if that’s an early pick.
