Nemophila was named for a genus of flower with 5 petals (there were 5 members, now 4) that is native to North America but very popular in Japan... rather like rock and roll. "Neem-oh-feel-ah" The flowers of this genus are largely some form of "baby blue eyes." The hills of Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan turns blue every spring with nemophila flowers.

The main stage is where they should be. They were on a side stage in Australia, by the time they finished I looked around at the crowd and it was heaps bigger than when they started.

The Japanese all-female metal scene has been blowing up over the last few years. Nemophila, Lovebites, and Band-Maid are probably the trifecta (Band-Maid is also playing Aftershock today, 10/9/22, though they are more hard rock than metal). There's a whole different work ethic in Japan, and I've found that their *average* musician is often comparable to our best! These bands are filled with straight up virtuosos (especially the three bands I mentioned)!
