Diving with my buddy Ralph and the Dive N Surf team at Veteran's Park last Sunday, dropped down at 40 ft., followed the bottom down below the thermocline to 68 ft where it's 55˚ cold and dark. This is the upper ledge of Redondo Submarine Canyon, which quickly drops to 600 ft. Other divers spotted a 6' halibut, but the only one I spotted might have been 1'. After noodling around for 30 minutes we slowly began our ascent following the bottom back to the shore. 52 minutes total dive time.
