O professor se vê refém tanto das políticas de aprovação em massa, pois quando identifica o aluno que não tem condições de ser aprovado, mesmo recebendo atenção e aulas de reforços, não pode reprova-lo. O professor tem que atingir uma taxa de aprovação que não condiz com sua realidade. Muitos alunos, sabendo que vão ser aprovados de uma maneira ou outra, não se esforçam em nada.
