Thanks for the video never knew all my life the process it took to get it done how amazing !!! I love going there
Was nice place then, sadly its ruined now .
Don Seccombe. Lovely guy.
And that's that ,
From this beauty to concrete jungle sad , I was there , I hate what it is
Gold Coast and suburbs had great dual lane highways that facilitated growth now it's built out and congested
Wonderful
I will never forget before the tranformation. My Dad had to get our yacht towed to safety and he was a seasoned Skipper. Yeah, it was bad back then. So much better now!!! Thanks so much for uploading this! I was wondering how they did it and now I know.
Reaĺly good job well done queensland xxx😊😊😊
Admirable achievement. Cheers from Peru. I hope I visit your beautiful land soon, that’s why I’m looking for some history before I go there; and it is amazing.
When I was a kid in Broadbeach in the mid-60s, the walk from the park to the shore involved heading down a set of about 30 stairs, until the Council began to install wooden fences made of inch-wide palings closely held together by wire, which trapped sand and established the dunes. Every year, a new 5 foot tall fence would go in, just as the top of the old fence was barely peeking out until eventually the beach had risen to present day levels. Genius.
WOW. Well done everyone involved in this transformation!!!
I’m glad I come across this. Always wanted see the process of how it was done.
Interesting
Good to see a vid like this is still around. Funny but the Sharkcat and the Yacht rolling over weren't at the seaway. It was near Comboyura Point at the top of Moretone Island
😄😄😄😄now you know you never let the truth get in the way of a good story and its call artistic licence😄😄😄😄
WOW - Interesting info. I remember the days that there were no walls. I used to wander along that way fishing. But I'm now 62 year old.
Awesome film ;)
The old passage was extremely danderous - experienced it Once and that was more than enough for me. The Seaway is fantastic, 100% safer plus now in 2017 the influx in marine life and coral is amazing. Very popular fishing spot both from boats and rock fishing.
wow !!!
