run on diesel for years and run great but decided to try nitro methanol RC car fuel added with diesel once warm it ran away uncontrollably revving and couldnt stop it via disconnecting spark plug so removed fuel lines to carb and let it stop itself. seems to be mechanically okay to run again once got new fuel lines

A rare [in the UK] amber Whelen lightbar that ill be fitting on my recovery truck, used by emergency services in blue in the UK on police ambulance and still used on fire engines to this day. Powered with two Ub412 power supplies and then has 8 corner module strobes and 4 halogens [not yet fitted and wired up] I put the corner modules in the middle of the bar too for increased spread of the lig...

test of an air cooled 51 cc strimmer engined outboard for a small dinghy. Works well and is well put together for chinese tat. they lied about the power output though, its about 3hp but they advertise it as 5.8hp. I may message the seller to see if they want to refund me half the money i paid.

This happens when it runs lean and you get an air leak somewhere. Too much air causes the plug to run so hot that pulling the plug boot wouldn’t even kill the engine

@@coldstartdaily9738 wow you replied this video is 4 years old. 😂 anyway my fuel pump is leaking so I'm thinking I'm going to need to take it off and strip it down as I can't get to it from the back but it's connected to the timing so everything's got to come off. Not to mention my alternator keeps rattling itself loose but that's another problem.
@@dess5500 haha im still active What area is leaking? theres a few that can be done in situ, like throttle spindle o rings, or if at bottom of pump the advance and retard piston can be done in situ its easy enough to pin engine and remove tension and to remove pump, the one in this video i have as a spare, and i had another i had professionally rebuilt
@@coldstartdaily9738 so it needs a professional rebuild I was hoping it would be rubber seals or something, it seems to be leaking from the back but I've checked the high pressure pipes I've even had them off and replaced the copper washers but that didn't do a thing.
@@dess5500 it might be leaking from the stop solenoid in the back distribution head but its hard to see witout removing pump it may not need a full rebuild

No they run and start very clean, this was the first startup after fitting and priming the fuel system so it had excess diesel in the combustion chamber
@@coldstartdaily9738 oh right, been weighing options for a heating system in my transit swb, and I’ve seen many builds with them but this is the first time I’ve seen the exhaust running through. Thanks
