My first car ( i rode motorbikes before i got a car ) was a ~ 1973 Holden V8 panel van a good car but it had very little torque , then a got a ~ 1985 ford falcon ( not very fond of Ford ) and the front suspension / steering was very weak , then i purchased a Toyota econovan van ( couldnt work on the motor , it would skip across the road if i hit a pot hole on a curb ( poor suspension ) i then got a toyota Hylux one ton truck ( it was a good strong truck and i got 1/2 million klm however it developed a lot of issues once it got over 350,000 klm ( fuel pump, starter , white rust corrosion on a joiner above the engine , alternator, etc ( before it went ) , my car maintenance diagnosis skills weren't as good as they are now with more experience and youtube videos , for instance i never changed the gearbox oil in this car and the gearbox broke , also i let my guard down and didnt check the battery - the battery ran dry and took out the alternator
I now have a holden rodeo ( isuzu pickup )

Clean throttle body 2000 Toyota Camry
Thank you bro! I'm literally going to re register the same car it's just been sitting on a farm with low kms 😊 fixing her up all thanks to your videos
A lot of work to get this car to 1/2 million kilometres but she's going better than ever
Don't use grease on the thread, bushes or the nuts or the nuts will back off
Lol that moment when you think the engine is jamming up but actually the car is still in gear - sounds like something I'd do
The engine jammed up that one time however there was another jam up issue or "session" I never got to the bottom of but it just seemed to clear somehow
Your a legend thank you brother 🙏 😊
Thank you! I needed this video.
Throttle body cleaner is good for the spark plugs when taking out, as it is usually carbon that makes them sticky. 1.0 to 1.1 mm I believe for the gap. And timing believe it or not, is done off lead #4 with a timing light, despite what the instructions say.
Greetings: 1) "Ford starter solenoid"...No. That is a relay. Using that will only offer a temporary 'fix' not a repair. 2) It is not a "tumbler". It is a lock cylinder...which contains tumblers.
Thanks for all your work, very clear and well explained, this was very helpful as I too will need to do some of these exact jobs on my Rodeo, I learnt a lot , cheers Alex.
Seems like a thick oil should use 5w30
A most helpful video, thanks for sharing this with us.
Great video, thank you for sharing this with us!
Hey thanks for the video from Canada! I've got all the parts to do this myself just waiting for the rain to stop.
Thank you so much!
You skipped the part pushing in the piston.

Wow!! I've never seen this model in a wagon. Didn't even know they existed. Ccol!
that was weird watching that one clip upside down and the excess oil started ascending lol. Nice video!
Should be 3.8 quarts. I don't know what the conversion is but I think you can figure it. I just changed my 2000 Toyota Camry 2.2 L oil and filter today. And I'm in the United States it is a mess taking off the filter isn't it
I change mine in the morning before starting the engine, I don't get any oil in the filter, I suppose it has drained out, It used to be a messy job when I took her for a spin before changing the oil, being upside down it might be meant to be changed on a rested and cooled engine
👍👍👍🙏✌️
Hi! So my 13 Camry with only 80k miles has been making chattering noise when driving 3 mph over bumpy asphalt as in parking lots. The strut dampening appears to be working fine for the ride is great and nothing feels sloppy or bouncy. So I'm guessing something to do with the mount. I've seen 2 possible approaches, yours ot tightening nuts, and one to add silicone grease spray to mount in hopes of quieting rusty/worn bearing? How did you get on this approach to tighten the nuts...is it just to confirm they are not loose, and where did you find the torque specs, and should they be torqued with wheels on ground or not? Thanks if you can reply.
Well its a funny thing, I recently replaced the tie rod ends (they have ball joins one rubber jacket was worn) and there hasn't been any noise for a long time. but originally torquing the suspension nuts in the engine bay did stop the noise for about 2.5 months but then the noise would start again and I would have to re torque the loose nuts on their rubber bushings. I found the torque specs by how the nut felt when tightening it (eg size of nut compared to the thread and the force it had to hold and compression of the rubber bushing) I would tighten the nut with the wheels on the ground.
if it wasn't for these izuzu vids my Holden would not be on the road/chers
Thanks for the video. Curious, have you ever adjusted the valves? Thanks
Yes an old video I have shows I have adjusted the valves
Thanks! Did you video the process?@@cars929
This is helpful 👍🏻
Is it okay to push the throttle body butterfly open with my hand to clean it?
I would get a wood stick and put the accelerator pedal down instead
Hi, I'm looking for the distribution diagram, Isuzu rodeo 2.6
Hi, I found your video while searching for some help. The air injection system on the exhaust was removed from my truck and plugged with the wrong bolts. Do you know what size the threads are?
The problem is the liquid filled fuel gauge
That looks like a pain in the ass. I left mine as is and ran a longer fuel line. It's a pain to hook up, but I don't want to take it apart now to reclock it after the diagphram has been soaked in gasoline. Thanks for sharing.
Your problem is that you use a liquid filled fuel gauge. After 10 minutes the gauge heats up in the pressure will show low. After venting the gauge it will return to normal.
Mine keeps walking off of the pulley what should i do
That's a tough one, you may have to replace the belt and pully, try not to let the belt come off, this engine is an interference engine, I think I would take it to a mechanic for that one
Thank you for posting this video mate, We have a Iszuz Rodeo aswell and have been having same symptoms as yours we been trying to diagnose it but failed. So thank you for posting and helping up, Earned a like and a subscribe
I think you'll find that those hardened wave shanked screws, are designed to cut their own thread. That is why there are only thread where the screws have been installed at the factory.
A 10-32 tap on a drill makes the job easier.
hey mate, have you ever had a issue with the temp gauge not working as well as the aircon fan failing to work? Cheers from the West Aus
The temp gauge has always sat on a very low temperature reading on the gauge, I didn't have air con ( my first aircon in a car was in 2021 ) although the cab fan works, however the cab heater has been putting out less and less heat over the years, unfortunately the open/shut heater valve seems to be behind the dash
Cotterpin comes with the ball joints?
From memory probably not
Going to be watching alot of your videos. Just bought a 93 pick up
Just what in the heck was the hissing sound in the back ground of this video?
That was cicadas
Mate, good video, I am doing the same thing can you tell me please does the edges (not the tongue part )of the neutral safety switch sit or clip into the recess gap in the actual steering column before you screw the two small screws in ? I am finding that my whole NSS is moving after I have done up the two small screws and it looks like it should be recessed in the gap in the column. If you could give me any pointers that would be great. Thanks for you help. Cheers
From memory the edges where the screws go are adjustable, however once you have positioned the tongue ( or tang ) and tightened the screws the Neutral safety switch shouldn't move, sorry for the late reply, can you let me ( and viewers ) know how you got on
1:15:52 Blatant red light runner.
Absolutely, in broad daylight, no respect or regard to safety
Very informative. Thank you so much.
This is very helpful, thanks!
Gas tank pickup filter. Use a compressed air hose on the fuel line to blow the filter off of the tank pickup.
Yes I blew air in reverse into the tank, seemed all good for the tank filter, the problem was an air leak ( bad join in the fuel line after the tank ( old to new fuel hose ) ( tanks had never been removed and inspected so new fuel line not installed ), and the fluid in the fuel pressure gauge ( comes standard from the manufacturer ) ( however if removed fuel could come out of the fuel gauge if there is a leak ) ( as the engine heats up it changes the reading on the fuel gauge, fuel pressure reading drops )
4.9 l mine takes
Wouldn’t the grease deteriorate cuz of the gas?
Nice truck
What oil do you use in this machine? 10w30? How is it doing now
Penrite 40w 60 and all real good ( I'm in Sydney doesn't get cold so 60 weight is good ), the ute is in storage, too good to sell
Thanks for sharing your skills
Cool..thank you..
If that's a liquid filled gauge, the heat from the engine compartment will cause the gauge to read fault. Try using a non filled gauge. The needle will be more sporadic but may show you dont have a problem other than the gauge reading incorrectly. Also, if you are using a billet cam, you have to use a softer rod and dizzy gear. Cast cam u can use a hard rod. Good luck
Yes exactly that was the problem, I removed the liquid from the gauge and the gauge gave a correct reading over time however the gauge has liquid for a reason, safety for if the gauge leaks fuel into the engine bay ?, The trucks gone ( unregistrable with a 454 in a 350 vin number frame ( seems I didn't do my purchasing home work properly )
bypass it and put a push button start on it
Make sure your gas tank is vented, otherwise vacuum will build.
It was just the fluid that comes in the fuel pressure gauge, it reacts to the heat of the engine and decreases the fuel pressure reading, also there was a leak in a join in the fuel hose near the fuel tank
Thank you very much...very informative 💯💯💯
Thanks for the video! I have a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo with 332,000 miles and live it. Door handle is broken and this is the only video that helped me resolve my problem!
