    Throttle body cleaner is good for the spark plugs when taking out, as it is usually carbon that makes them sticky. 1.0 to 1.1 mm I believe for the gap. And timing believe it or not, is done off lead #4 with a timing light, despite what the instructions say.

    Greetings: 1) "Ford starter solenoid"...No. That is a relay. Using that will only offer a temporary 'fix' not a repair. 2) It is not a "tumbler". It is a lock cylinder...which contains tumblers.

    Should be 3.8 quarts. I don't know what the conversion is but I think you can figure it. I just changed my 2000 Toyota Camry 2.2 L oil and filter today. And I'm in the United States it is a mess taking off the filter isn't it

      I change mine in the morning before starting the engine, I don't get any oil in the filter, I suppose it has drained out, It used to be a messy job when I took her for a spin before changing the oil, being upside down it might be meant to be changed on a rested and cooled engine

    Hi! So my 13 Camry with only 80k miles has been making chattering noise when driving 3 mph over bumpy asphalt as in parking lots. The strut dampening appears to be working fine for the ride is great and nothing feels sloppy or bouncy. So I'm guessing something to do with the mount. I've seen 2 possible approaches, yours ot tightening nuts, and one to add silicone grease spray to mount in hopes of quieting rusty/worn bearing? How did you get on this approach to tighten the nuts...is it just to confirm they are not loose, and where did you find the torque specs, and should they be torqued with wheels on ground or not? Thanks if you can reply.

    • @cars929
      @cars929 10 місяців тому

      Well its a funny thing, I recently replaced the tie rod ends (they have ball joins one rubber jacket was worn) and there hasn't been any noise for a long time. but originally torquing the suspension nuts in the engine bay did stop the noise for about 2.5 months but then the noise would start again and I would have to re torque the loose nuts on their rubber bushings. I found the torque specs by how the nut felt when tightening it (eg size of nut compared to the thread and the force it had to hold and compression of the rubber bushing) I would tighten the nut with the wheels on the ground.

    That looks like a pain in the ass. I left mine as is and ran a longer fuel line. It's a pain to hook up, but I don't want to take it apart now to reclock it after the diagphram has been soaked in gasoline. Thanks for sharing.

  • @chadboggs6290

    Your problem is that you use a liquid filled fuel gauge. After 10 minutes the gauge heats up in the pressure will show low. After venting the gauge it will return to normal.

    I think you'll find that those hardened wave shanked screws, are designed to cut their own thread. That is why there are only thread where the screws have been installed at the factory.

    • @cars929

      The temp gauge has always sat on a very low temperature reading on the gauge, I didn't have air con ( my first aircon in a car was in 2021 ) although the cab fan works, however the cab heater has been putting out less and less heat over the years, unfortunately the open/shut heater valve seems to be behind the dash

    Mate, good video, I am doing the same thing can you tell me please does the edges (not the tongue part )of the neutral safety switch sit or clip into the recess gap in the actual steering column before you screw the two small screws in ? I am finding that my whole NSS is moving after I have done up the two small screws and it looks like it should be recessed in the gap in the column. If you could give me any pointers that would be great. Thanks for you help. Cheers

    Gas tank pickup filter. Use a compressed air hose on the fuel line to blow the filter off of the tank pickup.

    • @cars929
      @cars929 3 роки тому

      Yes I blew air in reverse into the tank, seemed all good for the tank filter, the problem was an air leak ( bad join in the fuel line after the tank ( old to new fuel hose ) ( tanks had never been removed and inspected so new fuel line not installed ), and the fluid in the fuel pressure gauge ( comes standard from the manufacturer ) ( however if removed fuel could come out of the fuel gauge if there is a leak ) ( as the engine heats up it changes the reading on the fuel gauge, fuel pressure reading drops )

    If that's a liquid filled gauge, the heat from the engine compartment will cause the gauge to read fault. Try using a non filled gauge. The needle will be more sporadic but may show you dont have a problem other than the gauge reading incorrectly. Also, if you are using a billet cam, you have to use a softer rod and dizzy gear. Cast cam u can use a hard rod. Good luck

    • @cars929
      @cars929 3 роки тому

      Yes exactly that was the problem, I removed the liquid from the gauge and the gauge gave a correct reading over time however the gauge has liquid for a reason, safety for if the gauge leaks fuel into the engine bay ?, The trucks gone ( unregistrable with a 454 in a 350 vin number frame ( seems I didn't do my purchasing home work properly )

    • @cars929
      @cars929 3 роки тому

      It was just the fluid that comes in the fuel pressure gauge, it reacts to the heat of the engine and decreases the fuel pressure reading, also there was a leak in a join in the fuel hose near the fuel tank
