Thursday night saw the switching on of Donaghcloney's Christmas lights. A mini-twilight market and music from local choirs and a DJ helped over 800 people get into the festive spirit. Wonderful and informative little film. I was over in Lurgan this morning and had a walk in Lurgan Park in the sleet and cold but loved it. Such a gem of a park with the stunningly beautiful fountain and the wonderful lake etc. Lurgan's a great town with a rich history. My own ancestors originated in Lurgan before moving up to Belfast after the Great War. Whenever I'm back in NI I always try to squeeze in a visit to Lurgan.

I know I might be accused of being biased but that was a superb in depth interview by my baby brother Donagh of a man who is one of the most intelligent, caring and inspiring individuals that Lurgan has ever produced. Why walk in the middle (centre) of a road.......... at night.......... with no lighting that car was driving in the correct lane with head lights THE DRIVER should prosecute them and get compensation for any damage to the car
Is that right? Usually when someone is in the road the car stops. But anyway. The police escort the band and are supposed warn on coming traffic of what is ahead. But mainly if you can not see a group of 50 people in the road and can not come to a halt you should not have a license.
