The bungie that attaches the flaps to the keel need to be strengthened or replaced, it's that simple. When the string is released, the flaps should snap back to the keel. Your spoilers could use the same attention. I've been to 140+ kph, on a much older rigid, without experiencing flutter.

Back in my hang gliding days I tore the subscapular tendon off my shoulder on a hard landing ( no wheels . . . . . .idiot ) I had surgery to repair it and 3 months later with intense physio I was back flying again. ( with 12 inch wheels ) I hope you have a speedy recovery.

It's always very hard to decide to fly again but we are sure our friends would tell us to continue enjoying those very unique moments where we are alone, over the mountains, looking at this mad World underneath... I don't think this is pilot error. My pre landing check list is also. Select.field wind direction Come in high towards end Flaps out Pull on speed Change to uprights Round out Land / open visor. The last two are interchangeable. 😂

Sorry for your friend. Do you have any details how accident occur? Any witness? Some pilot mistake? So that other pilots can learn a lesson.

Oh, wow. What amazing scenery and flight. One day I want to fly there and hopefully have such good flights as you’re having. I’m sorry to hear of the fatal accident…life sure is short and while we love doing what we’re doing, we are definitely teasing our demise with every attempt.
