I think the stats are blocked, and I really don't do anything to encourage more of them, but there actually are some. I've been meaning to deactivate that other channel. But yeah, I'm pretty sick of the way things are lately, and that sailboat is looking better and better. I turn on the TV and think I'm living in the Twilight Zone. And I'm curious as to what the "Radicals" are up to, and sincerely hope they find a way to torpedo Killary and that criminal enterprise she represents, but it's beginning to look like a lot of hot air. They (The Clinton gang) actually took a guy of the air Monday night nationally because he's anti-Clinton. Trump could do it if he wasn't so clueless, but too much dirty shit has gone down since the coup de etat in Dallas in '63. I think we may live to see an actual revolution. When I was in my wild expat days, I was sometimes on the fringes of history. The air is getting that same sort of vibration.

JerryInDFW When I was in HS, I became an avid reader of National Review. I guess you could say I became a staunch conservative, a la W.F. Buckley. I felt blessed to have been born in the freest country in the world and despised anything that smacked of socialism or communism. (We were at the peak of the Cold War at that time.) Later in life, after having evolved into a libertarian, I came to believe that it would all come crashing down someday, but still didn't think it would happen in my lifetime. Now I think it will. I can assure you, it will be ugly and dangerous. My wife and I have been exploring places to go when it comes time to "get the hell out." Anyway, getting back to the topic of this video, here are some random thoughts about pot: As a libertarian, of course, I believe that you own your own body, and nobody has the right to interfere with whatever you decide to do with it (so long as you don't use it to aggress against others). The use of pot--or any other drug--is nobody's business but yours. I don't hold to conventional wisdom about addiction. (I distinguish "addiction" from "recreational use.") I believe that addiction is caused, not by chemical hooks, but by the absence of meaningful personal relationships and purpose in life. If an "addict" gains those things, he usually just stops, and without withdrawal. There are strong studies to support this. As you know, drug use was rampant in the military during the Vietnam War. (I got to see this first-hand.) There was a lot of hand-wringing about how we could handle all these addicts when they returned home. Guess what? When they came back and regained a relatively normal life, 95% of them quit use almost immediately. Personally, I pretty much stayed away from the stuff. Had some peyote back in my college days. That was a fascinating experience which scared the shit out of me (literally). I tried pot a few times, but found that I liked booze better, despite the fact that alcohol is more harmful. Have one funny pot story. This happened after I had returned to Denver to practice law and had remarried. We were at a party with a couple dozen good friends. I'm a pipe smoker (like my father and his father), and someone secretly mixed my tobacco with some "really good shit." I thought it tasted a bit odd, but I was sloshed, so I finished several pipe loads anyway. I really didn't feel any different, but I did notice that I had morphed into a phenomenal stand-up comic. Must have, because everyone was laughing their ass off at everything I said. You have a good weekend, too.
