I liked this very much. Having moved to Dunster from London a year ago. Bats castle never disappoints. I find it fascinating that people actually lived there! How did they get their water? Did they encounter Roman soldiers? It’s a very strategic encampment. The views are spectacular. Thank Christopher!

Once you raise speeds you raise costs on everything. Track maintenance has to be upgraded to start as does the quality of the track. Stock may have to have recertification for higher speeds

ive just been looking at the very poor state of the rails, they are all over the place, no wonder the driver is going slow, it would be nice to see a lot of these old lines open back up, more trains the passanger would steadily grow, then this would lead to investment, and people would leave the cars at home if the ifastruture is there.

If you haven't seen it, look at the video of the Weymouth Ferry Train. I remember this - a full sized passenger train travelling down the middle of the road. Ended in the late 1970s possibly early 80s.
