Chester passed away November 28, 2020 after living 16 happy years. He's gone where the good brothers go.
Thank you for making it possible for me to hear my favorite KB DJ again!! And if by any chance, Don's "The Night Before the Morning After" is included somewhere in those clips, perhaps you might post that as well someday. Happy Holidays!
Don Berns, my favorite DJ through all of high school and then some! I remember hearing that pastiche of Beatles songs! Loved that man. RIP Don!
Don Berns sent me hours of audio from his time at KB and other stations. I've put a taste of it on a new video: ua-cam.com/video/g1rj_6Rls-E/v-deo.html
I bought a radio like it’s on the cover of this word starts out for $39 drug for back in the 60s in about another one at a flea market for five bucks couple of years ago I still have that one but it doesn’t work very well
I live in Williamsville. My Grandparents lived on Hillside drive back in '74. They said this was how life was back then. They would always see kids outside.

Remember Don Berns and the Saturday Night Date Night Lonely Hearts Club so fondly . Thanks Don. There is nothing like this on radio today . So sad

Great airchecks from WKBW
always loved kb even in rochester
Please post more videos from Richfield.
Very funny stuff! I bought this same radio for my dad, worked really well.
Are there any vidoes from 1980?
Thank you
Thanks for posting this -- very cool! RIP Don Berns. Thanks for your irrepressible sense of humour and for being a great friend to so many! You will be terribly missed.
OMG!!!! Dylan Baldi. D: ❤❤❤
nice
Ever since UA-cam added ads to this video the audio quality has diminished significantly. Also, since they inserted ads, the video will not play when I use Firefox. :(
I have to say I'm jealous...the class of 2000 seniors was full of so many "leaders" that they all fought so much and Walzcuk cancelled the senior dance.
dawnson rocks! 4
This was the first Browns game I ever got to go to! WOOF WOOF! GO BROWNIES!
@MichaelHansenFUN Okay, what'cha need to know about it? Like I said, I've got quite a few Beatle break-ins.
@RedVynil that beatle break in
@MichaelHansenFUN Lol! Something to do with a Beatle break-in or an Arte Johnson record, not sure which you needed info on.
@RedVynil huh? remind me
@MichaelHansenFUN What sort of info do you need?
@johnnathan85 Nevermind, I DO have this on vinyl! If I recall correctly, the flip side is a VERY old Beatles song called, "Love Of The Loved". I also have 2 of the 3 Beatle break-ins that Charlie did, and lots of others! He told me he made a 3rd one & sent it to be pressed and the pressing plant burned down & he not only lost his records AND the master tape (which he didn't have a back-up copy of), but the pressing plant refused to send him back his down payment on the pressing of the record!!
@johnnathan85 i think my friends have a radio similar to that and it still works, picking up a classic rock station and dr demento...
@MichaelHansenFUN yes, this is a picture I found on the net of the radio I used to record this. I used a Realistic tape recorder with an external mic resting on the speaker to record parts of the show. On another tape I have a very poor recording of the Dickie Goodman Energy Crisis bit.
4:09 is the picture there your original radio you were using? if you were using a radio and tape recorder, how did it sound so good? In stereo?, one channel cancells out? maybe itsa the tape. 6:28 KERMIT SCHAFER BLOOPER RECORDS WOW!!! 6:52 june 8 tribute to the beatles concert? is it a beatles tribute?
3:22 reminds me of george carlin wonderful wino & son of wino comedy routines did you record this with the radio next to the tape recorder?
@RedVynil please mnore information!!!
the first part is a buchannan and goodman flying sauycer type thing-Dickie Goodman LOOK IT UP the break in / cut ups
The Dog Pound is going to crush those sorry Raiders this year!!!!!
@johnnathan85 Thank you for the idea! I just sent her a message. I'll take all the help I can get :D
@irishbrat4u This video is of my wife and she said she'd be happy to talk about what you are working on if you'd like some feedback. Also, she says that she's learned that it's important to add Deaf Culture to the translation. A lot of interpreters don't take the time for that. Her youtube username is sonamdolma20032000. Thanks for the comment and good luck with your play!
Thanks for the share! I'm an interpreter in CA and have never tried performance interpreting. I am interpreting a play soon and needed some good ideas. thanks :)
@RedVynil I have no knowledge that the Beatles bit was ever released as a record. It was produced by WKBW and recorded by Don Berns for local air play. I recorded it directly from the radio about 1974. Who knows, mabye vinyl copies do exist somewhere. I've scanned the Internet but have found nothing so far.
The missing last seconds: REPORTER: Gentlemen, would you do it for the money? BEATLES: [very end of "She Loves You" ] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
Section 536, row 18, I think. Pretty high up.
