As Vegas newbys you really did not scratch the surface. First may I say that I hope you had the chance to eat at some of the restaurants at the Palazzo and Venetian. That property has the best options for food as well as the Wynn and Encore and one would say I am partial to those properties. I have not had any success at Caesar’s restaurants and in fact the Italian one you ate at we actually walked out as the food was horrible. Can you tell that I am Italian and know my food? Perhaps you will experience it better next time.

Next time you go to Las Vegas, enter the Grand Canyon from the main entrance. The experience will be different. Great to see it from different places. Also, for something different, head to Zion Natl Park, about 2.5 hrs north of Vegas. I think you’d really enjoy The Narrows hike. Google it for images. All five of the natl parks in southern Utah are worth visiting. Check out Arches Natl Park. I’m glad you raised the issue on water and snacks. Anytime you drive thru the desert, always make sure you have them. We hear from time to time of people needing serious medical services due to dehydration. This happens more often on the Vegas/LA route/Death Valley routes. Their car breaks down, they get lost, the high temperatures overwhelm them, etc. They don’t have water or food to sustain them while they wait for help. Don’t want to be Debbie Downer, but not everyone makes it. The desert is beautiful, but can be unforgiving, especially in summer months. BTW, Arizona is on a different time zone, like you said, and it doesn’t go by daylight savings time. Only it and Hawaii don’t. As you explore more of the US, you’ll see the topography to be very different, and different regional cultures and customs. Glad you are seeing more of the country. Glad you are enjoying Las Vegas. I am intrigued, however, as to what took you to Harrisburg.

Treasure Island does a great pirate show on the boat of a night. It’s brill. Did you know their are no clocks in the casinos and they pump carbon dioxide into the casinos so people don’t get tired! I knew you would love it there. Loving the vlogs, bringing back great memories for me. Xx

Just a little advice for the future -- the South Rim and the National Park is the better place to go. It is a $35 entrance. On the west rim you are on a Native American reservation and it is controlled by them and prices set by them. Although all views are beautiful the South Rim has more variety and I think a prettier view with wildlife, etc. It is further from Vegas and would require an overnight but there are tons more amenities and hiking trails, etc.

I would just keep the drone home. It’s not worth bringing it because more and more municipalities are confiscating them as more and more municipalities put drone rules into place. Your footage is great without the drone footage.

I love those character interactions! We went to Florida in September and its was our honeymoon, went to Epcot and met Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Met Mickey, next was Goofy and we had the best interaction! Once we’d done the photo etc he waited until Minnie was back from her break to take me to her to show her my wedding ring!! It was brilliant! ( there was a little queue behind us) but wow the characters are amazing ❤

It’s now only about extracting as much short term profits as possible to appease stockholders at the expense of the customers who actually keep them in business. William Hornbuckle, the CEO and president of MGM Resorts International, received a total compensation of $38 million in 2023 though, so screw the customers amirite?

The Mirage is closed down now, going to be a guitar-shape Hard Rock Hotel. I'm going again in April staying at Treasure Island next to Mirage. Stayed there 3 times before, nice mid-price hotel, great location on the strip.

If you don't want to walk get the deuce bus you can buy a day pass for a few dollars and get in or off whenever and it goes from the sign up to freemont and stops at most of the hotels on the way there and back

They are knocking down the Mirage and building a hard rock hotel! End of an era for a classic hotel! I stayed in it last August on a little getaway (I am an Aussie currently living in California)

Vegas is a neat place to visit. A lot to see also outside of town! Grand Canyon- Hover Day! Old Vegas is fun to visit
