It should be noted: That will not work on a brand new setup unit because first time you get a new unit out of the box it will format sd card after initial setup. Or am I wrong?

Just bought it and installed it into my car. Can tell- best dashcam i've ever had! Just one question for the ones who operated the dashcam already: If you press the emergency button, which video will be saved? The last minute? the current loop? I can't find anything about it. Thanks in advance!

So, I got the newer version, the Viofo 119 Mini 2, and I have 3 issues that I cannot resolve with this version: 1) it will connect to wi-fi but without an internet connection. 2) when I stop the video recording, it gives me the 2 chirp indicator - constantly - and will not stop chirping. 3) when I long press the menu, it’s supposed to turn off the camera, but it does not. I have to physically unplug this thing. It’s time to get a different brand. 😢 P.S. the Viofo app is truly terrible. I can see why it’s rated 2.5

Does it have wifi so that I can remotely view my parked car with the dashcam using the wifi from my home router?

got a229plus 2 channel on May 2024. Great purchase...Thank god didn't go with Blackvue or any other overhyped cameras. I realised Viofo is pretty good and offer great price. Wires are long and managed to tuck in the roof of my 2024 rav4...Great camera quality in day and night..Can see registration plates clearly in night as well..The new rav4's strong LED lights may be helping as well😊 Easy to operate...App is good...though it can utilise full screen in phone to show front and back cameras separately instead of showing in PIP ( picture in picture) otherwise great app. The instructions on wires is so thoughtful, it shows how much care Viofo team has taken as per user perspective.

Too bad it's out of stock now from the Viofo website. You should've stocked up at least 75% of this of the number of A229 Pro/Plus that you sold in the past.

I just installed mine with micro sd in it but it wont turn on! My old dashcam was working just fine what would be the problem?

is the main camera also creating a 4th channel for the 3-in-one layout as advertised in this video or is this one created afterwards in some other editing software? Or is the camera ONLY recording this mix of 3 channels without a separate recording of each channel?

why is your app so bad? I'm about to return this unit just on the fact that your app is the worst thing I've ever used.

Thank you Viofo for listening to the customers, this rear dash cam's CPL filter was very needed to people who live in very sunny country

I plan to buy the A229 Pro camera. If I buy the model with two channels, will these be the front view camera and the rear view camera? Or instead of the rear view camera, can I choose an interior camera? I need a front view camera and an interior camera. Is there an option to buy such a set?

My windshield has an internal film on it. Is there a way to attach the Viofo VSI to my rearview mirror?

The real limit of dashcams is the cut out of power input by hardware kit. The turning point will be a battery pack that can extend recording up to 24hrs more BUT SHOULD BE CHEAPER THAN TODAY. now a battery pack is more expensive than a dashcam 😢

For rear camera firmware update, follow same steps as this video (ie cables connect, download, copy files over), but connect the rear camera via cable to the front dash cam, THEN power it on. That way, it can transmit the data to the rear camera

Well, I hope the car that was hit had a dashcam. Railcar was halfway through the intersection whilst still amber!!
