I have been using this brand of Dash Cam for approx 10 years, I'm presently using both the Mini2 for the front and V3 for the rear, in my Truck. If you live in a High temp area Like Southern AZ, USA, you need a unit that has NO Battery, as the heat will burst the battery. You only really need HDR if you drive at night, Also 60fps is great but not really needed as the Viofo, if checked on a Computer, has Clear Stop Motion at the Std 30fps. Check out other VIOFO Video's on UA-cam.. I have NO Affiliation with VIOFO..🤔😀..

You guys need to make a sticker that basically is reflective and prevents the sun from hitting the dashcam but allows the camera to still see the road ahead... would help prevent/reduce overheating and improve longevity

The dilemma I’m in, as someone that has never had a dash cam and now is in the market to get one, and have been told to go with the Viofo from several people, is the parking mode. I really don’t want to hardwire anything in, and although my ZR2 has ports and an electrical socket, was told that you can’t have parking mode, without hardwiring. So for me, it’s either hardwire in order to get parking mode, or not hardwire, and only have coverage when the truck is turned on. If I choose to not hardwire, does the A329 have plug and play into the normal port?

Does this only work with Sandisk Extreme/Max and Viofo cards? I bought a Sandisk Ultra Micro SD 256gb and when I put the card in, it doesn't let the dashcam power on and as soon as I disconnect the Micro SD it powers on.

Every time I stop at a light for a minute and start again the dash cam says "recording started"! I don't want to keep hearing this every time I stop. Maybe something needs changed in the settings?

I've bought the two channel Kit and ordered the third camera afterwards. But the A229 Plus won't record the third video stream. It shows the third camera is connected, but it won't do anything else with it. What can i do to fix that?

It worked. I can now connect the BTR200 to my A229 Plus.

Is the PSSD compatible with other models?

This did not work using a camera I’ve had installed and working by formatting it via the dashcam a month ago and then using a Mac to add the bin files to the root directory. MicroSD back in the camera and it acts as though nothing has happened and just records.

A229 Plus is a disaster for me, no card work properly. It records some footage, misses some. And sometime, it skips initial an hour or two recording altogether in long drive. I thought, it is because of card being full or similar but it was not the case. I changed the card too, it didn't help. I have updated to most recent update from 24th October also but it didn't help either. I have A119 V2 and it records flawlessly on any card I put in. Feeling disappointed by Viofo regarding A229 plus. Please fix the issues in next firmware.

So stupidly complicated that I was discouraged from updating mine and I'm considering returning it. I can't believe you didn't even cover how to update the rear camera too

I installed one in a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and purchased a 3rd party rear view mirror power source kit. Works perfectly without the plug into the cigarette lighter or USB port and isn't hardwired either.
