Parked Car ACC Video
This is what happens when Adaptive Cruise Control sees a parked car, despite it being perfectly safe to go past. "Phantom Braking". On this occasion there was no car behind, so it was left to its own devices. Normally needs two daps on the gas pedal to make it see sense.

M3 Multiple Pile Up - just avoided by heavy braking and swerving by HG66UUB.

This is sometimes called the "cascade effect" or "ripple effect" or "shock wave". It's plainly none of those, it's just bad driving. A batch of drivers all closer than 2 seconds, typically 1 second, then when someone brakes, each successive car in the queue has to brake harder than the one in front, and eventually the space isn't enough. On this occasion a multiple pile-up was just averted, by ...

Motorbike running red light. He was lucky the camera car slowed! Trying to work out why he went, and I can only guess he was watching the lights for "left turn only" which go green at that time.

I didn't see how he got there, but looks dangerous, going the wrong way on a dual carriageway slip road (national speed limit).

Respect to you, you stayed safe in the inside lane. If I had to show any learner driver a video on how to drive on a dual carriageway or a motorway, it would be this one💪🏻👍
Typical motorway traffic.... Braindead drivers thinking about what their having for tea, all sat in lane 2. Standard of today's driving is atrocious.
I wouldn't have slowed down, you had an empty lane. The driver of the van behind you must have seen the brake lights in the out side lane so why did he pull out?? Plain bonkers. 🤣🤣
I did wonder if I should have pulled left into the breakdown lane and accelerated past the problem! But that could be illegal .... I slowed because I guessed someone might swing left towards my lane, and indeed the silver van started to do just that.
The fact that lane 1 is empty and these turnips are almost crashing into each other in a packed lane 2 typifies the mentality of the majority of people when they climb behind the wheel.
All the idiots jostling for place in lane 2, desperate to get past. Meanwhile our cammer is cruising stress-free in lane 1, watching it all unfold. Nicely driven sir or madam.
Hello @jinglebells323, may I have your permission to use this video in my compilation? Credited on-screen with a link back. Thanks
Yes of course, I'm all in favour of using this as a safety or training aid.
Hi mate, hope you are doing well! Can i use it please ? With credit of course, thanks in advance.

I've never fully understood how people have ended up in those positions 🤣. Would you mind if i used a few clips from your channel in my dashcam videos fully credited and linked to you of course. If not no worries and have a great weekend :)
Hello, that's fine, I'm all in favour of using clips like this to enhance training and road safety.

Hello jinglebells323, can I feature this clip "Mercedes, going wrong way on NSL slip road!", as well as some other of your Dashcam videos on my UA-cam channel? Credited (on-screen with a link back). Stay safe
Hi, yes of course. I post these videos with "safety" and "training" in mind, so anything to help everyone stay safe is welcome.
if there is a controlled speed limit on the motorway than he should stick to that limit . the lorry is in the wrong
Hello jinglebells323,,,can I use this clip in my compilation? Any comment what happened? Thanks
Hello, yes of course - I don't have any other information though, I don't know the people involved, I just caught it by chance on my dashcam. It's a classic though - just shows what can happen if you "look away" for a couple of seconds, like the pedestrian did.

Two people, two very different vehicles and a wooly hat negotiating a junction in Winchester. The whole transaction was figured out buy themselves, no fights, yelling or police involved. The only hand gesture was a friendly wave of a mitten by the cyclist. Civil behaviour exemplified.
Hello jinglebells323, is it OK with you if I feature this clip "Cyclist crossing path of a car" in a compilation I'm making? Thanks in advance!
Yes of course. Thank you for your reply.
@@jinglebells323 Thank you so much!
And that's how the roads should be all the time, a respectful car driver looking and taking care, looking after vulnerable road users, no one gets injured or dies .
@jinglebells323 Hi, could I use this clip on my channel, linked and credited of course?
Yes of course, thank you for your comment.
@@jinglebells323 Thank you 🙏
yes the cyclist should have stopped.

I absolutely agree with many comments. Low bridge signs are pretty much right in front of the bridge and rarely a decent distance away. It's absolutely pathetic and completely incompitent road planners who have zero common sense. I've had this many times in my own truck where a sign has been 12ft from Bridge which is completely pointless and downright dangerous. We can see the damn bridge by then. Put a sign at the end of the road and another one or two as you approach it.... It's not rocket science
@drnh4444 I recall, many years ago when about to enter the northbound Blackwall Tunnel (signed 13'4" then) in an artic during the morning rush hour I triggered the alarm and red traffic light. I not only incurred the gesticulations of the motorists I held up but also the wrath of the two police officers who attended. While one was about to caution me the other was measuring the height of my trailer with a gauge he carried jn his car. I heard him say to his colleague 'it's thirteen feet one and a half inches'. A long story short, it was a faulty sensor at the Tunnel entrance. The cops were gutted that they had to let me go! That was at the time there were almost daily radio reports of 'delays northbound at Blackwall Tunnel back to Sun in the Sands roundabout because of an overweight vehicle'. It's never always been the truck driver's fault!
Respect for understanding. Well Done M8
i swear thats near southhampton and ive i swear ive drove down there like a thousand times
It's the M3 motorway between junctions 10 and 11
@@Ryan-mc7eh Oh i live in basingstoke so i go down that motorway daily

Panic stations hit when a truck driver is faced with these situations. A lot of drivers just go blank and hit the bridge even though it’s obvious that the truck will never fit under. It’s a cool driver under pressure that can turn it round safely and find a different route.
He did well to stop on a narrow road and reverse in to the opening without causing any damage or an accident.
I’ve been in that situation and had to reverse over a mile before I could turn around, Shit’e happens 🤗
This is nothing to do with the new highway code which says: Rule 185 When reaching the roundabout you should give priority to traffic approaching from your right, unless directed otherwise by signs, road markings or traffic lights. There have always been antisocial and dangerous riders and drivers who ignore the rules of the road an no doubt always will be.
I ride a bicycle and i would not pop straight into a roundabout like that
suicidal move
Yea he might of been hit at 4 mile per hour.
@@TheTwolesslives It would not be the speed that kills him but the 2 ton car parked on his head.
@@georgebarnes8163 I guess if the driver stops and reverses onto the fellas head and pops the handbrake on, then yea that guy cyclist is definitely suicidal. Sarcasm, if you can’t tell.
@@TheTwolesslives Maybe get him with all 4 wheels.
I can't tell you what was going through that cyclist's head, but because there's been no communication from the DfT about the changes to the Highway Code, it's been left to the tabloid press to spread their usual misinformation. From some of the headlines I've seen it wouldn't be surprising if there are some cyclists that think they can now do this. What I will say is that the driver of this car, being lower in the hierarchy of road users, showed clear understanding of their responsibility and reacted very well to the danger, so props to that.
I follow your work is very educational and thank you for that All the best and lots and lots of reviews
Nice job kid 👏🏻
Think every one of us has done this just part of the job😠
Good bit of driving there! 👏🏻

As a (car) learner, nothing makes me not want to drive lorries less than stuff like this lol
Take it from me, retired HGV driver with over thirty years on the road, if there's a better profession, please let me know. As long as you don't strike the bridge there's always an escape route; it may not be quick but it's there!
Guy done well, got his self turned round no damage, been there you are going along then the sign says low bridge 1 mile a head your like , fudge where can I turn asap
So you made a vidio of a lorry turning round to put on here?
Insurer: "so what was the registration of the vehicle? Have you got a dashcam?" Driver: "ah hah! Let me just review the footage on my potato"
I am surprised about the fact that there are no comments about "great British quality" being written on the side of a stuck lorry! But Very well done to the driver, not an easy place to turn around!
i live near this bridge there are 3 signs either side so driver not paying attention is what caused this
I had to reverse from a low bridge up to traffic lights and when they were green reverse through lights across junction and turn left /you need nerves of steel sometimes/its nó good losing it
Its beautiful from you thank you
guess my moroccan hummus i gonna be late.
Fortunately, he had room to maneuver a turn-around.
Proper truck sat nav helps. Worth the coin.😎
The guy did good, he turned it round in a gateway and didn’t damage anything in the face of bad weather and impatient drivers. I’ve been stuck in places before through no fault of my own and it’s stressful as the expert car drivers publicly question and voice their opinions on you and your abilities. 👍🏻
well said
Don't worry with the new reduced laws for getting a HGV licence come in You will have plenty of carnage to film.
Thanks for this, does it have drains only on the back wheel arches or front as well ? Getting water in my boot when it rains so reckon this is it.
The panoramic sunroof (e.g. Initiale model) has 4 pipes, two at the front and two at the back. Water in the boot could also be from the boot seal.
