Only thing I would suggest is using a ball-peen hammer next time to help. More intuitive for making the dents that you traced out for the folds. And don't be afraid to whack the thing hard. New sounds come out of hammering.

My drummer used this same type of generic crash for maybe 2 1/2 years of us playing gigs and by the time we had finally gotten some new cymbals, that crash looked like the one in this video. Worst sounding cymbal ever

I just did this, but youll need to spend more time on the hammer, also it sounds great and i used a older second hand cymbal with coloring to the metal because of ageing i recommend this for a better look because i sanded mine afterwards which reveals the hammer marks and it looks like a custom pro made cymbal 😊
