Hi Henry, Thanks for the comment. I have developed this camera angle further using a insta 360 and the images are great. I found that my jybes got better much quicker when you catch video of yourself, as you can study your mistakes to help perfect the jybe. Where do you sail and what kit? I have just done the Duck jybe and have a few other as I learn how to make better quality videos. I have been lucky to be sponsored by AFS Foils and AHD Boards so it forces me to get as much on film and in text as I can. Each year I can sell off kit at more than 50% discount and offer out to anyone who contacts me. If you need any thing then just ask I might have a great deal as you progress with your foiling. ​@@thesilversurfer8055, thank you very much, I am currently on a Naish board, Naish foil, and Ezzy sails. But 50% discount sounds fantastic and will keep in mind when I need to upgrade. I live in Japan and now is the windy season so am doing wave sailing but very soon the wind will change and I will blow the dust off the foil gear. I've saved your video in my bookmarks to help me, hopefully, achieve the same success. I've got an old insta360 and currently attaching it to the rear boom or onto the mast. But this idea of putting an extension on it is a great idea. If you crash, have you ever done any damage to your camera?

Just an afterthought. With your 360 insta setup, what length of extension are you using? From your video, it looks like your old setup is about 1.5 metres. Did you make the extension shorter? Sorry to be a bother.

@@henrymahergmail the actual length is 1.2 metres but 1.5 would be better as it will save on the distortion you get from using the 360 camera when editing. The carbon tube/pole I used was from the K4 harness mount and you can put a security line right through the middle to attach to the camera mount at the end directly from the mast. The main issue you face is to get enough clamp on the mast to support the 1.2m pole and this is why I just made a fiberglass clamp. the flymount clamps are not strong enough and my first attemp broke before getting on the water. I was thinking of doing a video about the construction and will publish this on the channel shortly. I am not trying to become a big blogger because I like sailing too much and the videos take a lot of time. @@thesilversurfer8055, thank you very much. I put in a friend request in the group, just in case you were wondering who it was. I ordered some alloy extension arms, from China, which I am going to try out on the flymount clamp. The total length is 50cm, I figure with my level of experience that with crashing maybe the shortened boom length might decrease the chance of breakage of the camera. But I am very interested in your setup and I truly understand that windsurfing comes first. Because it is also on the top of my "to-do list".

Hi Richy, The Mar Menor is clean and even when it was at its worse, it was ok to sail. The issue is that the nitrates used in farming help the algie to bloom when it gets warm and for swimming in some areas, the beaches where not pleasant because of the weed.
