I no pro welder, but shouldn’t you have like, vents or something. It looks like your smoke is stagnant

That is the best content about theme, thank you!
Hi Tim what temperature and wire speed you use for vertical? With Nr 33 wire

Does tack placement matters on the back in bar
Can you set up an aluminum push pull gun system on this?
What is the size of the welding cable? 50mm2 or 70mm2?
2/0, not sure what the metric size is
I run a Lincoln LN25,the damn thing's a tank
Need to get 5/64 NR233 in that baby!! my favorite wire cause its all we use in the northeast for structural so ur forced to love it lollll
That's hilarious. I watch Jet Welding use that stuff sometimes. You structural dudes are pretty badass. That's a lot of heat and a lot of heights.
one thing i learned running a suitcase is the ground has to be clean. i carried a piece i cleaned and just tacked to my work and broke off when done
100 ft ?
ty man good job
U want to run 211 or 212 wire on CC NOT CV .. CC WILL GIVE YOU Better penetration . Stronger weld . 32 yrs experience.. run it every day .. u can see the difference on CC IT Penetrates👍👍👍 CV DOESN’T GIVE YOU A STRONG WELD
Too bad the Trailblazer doesn't have ArcReach
Como puedo apagar lus de cambio de aceite
Btw that piece of aluminum in front of the trigger is to protect your finger from the arc heat, it's kind of useless when you have your glove on the neck.
Bro can this be use on a smaller welder
👍👍👍👍👍👍🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
Thanks for the video! Many people don't understand the Trailblazer and Lincoln Rangers require the extra "suitcase" welder purchases to actually use a wire feed process....
Brilliant video thank u 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
good and direct video.. my only concern is the heat u put on the coupon.. but the result is good
The heat input is no different than flame cut bevels that get welded on a daily basis
Hi, do the genders have to be reversed?
Depends on the wire type, most self shielded wires are DC negative, so then yes in most cases.
I have never seen anyone plug the suitcase into the ground side very interesting
Great
Casual 14000 dollar machine, we have them at work tho so that’s how I have experience with them
Are you welding CC or CV?
CV
I was Interest the lincoln electric power wave S350 and I want to buy this machine to Cambodia.
Hi
Thank you Tim, very valuable set up tips for us old folks.Got me a 301g running my way old S32. Sean
Those old S32 suitcase feeders are pretty tough, got two of that nobody would use. There were junked out under the table. The only thing wrong with them was the contractors were bad. Found a couple of Albright contractors on ebay. Cleaned them up, got some used Bernard guns and they both work great.
Thanks, Tim for a wonderful overview, very relaxed explanation of features and range of the Lincoln PowerWave. I am considering getting one and your video adds to my excitement.
You dont have to switch polarity. The machine does it for you when you select fcaws
That’s not true only a select few do that. It actually switches to constant voltage from constant current.
Why is he not running CC in this video? I was running this same feeder today with flux core wire running CC…..
I was confused i always plugged the suitcase into the positive lead
@@jerryvwallace2a lot of big self shielded wires run on CV, I use T-8 wire and it’s run on CV, and unfortunately the trailblazers we run don’t switch polarity automatically, there’s been times where I’m running self shielded wire and switch over to dual shield and forget to switch my cables over and create a mess.
But doesn't have a clock. 🧐
Is that the same way you would hook that up when using Argon gas
The only reason I would use argon gas during MIG welding would be for welding aluminum. So I would then switch to DCEP, instead of DCEN. Probably would need a push-pull gun and must have no wind if outside.
Finally a way I can combine skills from 3 years of welding and machine shop
Is possible to weld aluminum using suit case?
Never seen anyone try it before. Usually a push pull style gun is used for aluminum. Argon shielding gas would need to be used and no wind when welding outside, that would cause weld defects.
USB . Plug in . Is for software update . For the unit . Use a Flash drive .
Hola tim un gran vídeo yo también tengo mi miller aquí en 🇪🇸
Love the video,, looking at getting Miller ArcReach Suitcase 12 Wire Feeder to run with me Lincoln 250gtx judging by this and other video's it looks like it would work. Nice Lincoln jacket
How did it turn out for you? I'm thinking about getting one for my Miller Bobcat 250. Hope you had good results
Tim thank you so much for this video that was a great explanation and demonstration of how to set it up this is the exact suitcase I'm looking for for my trailblazer
Set my leads up the same way. I dont use the feeder alot so I dont have the lugs yet, they are coming though as the studs felt alittle looser the other day when I ran the feeder. Plus it you need to extend things its alot easier
Good luck with everything!!!
Use it enough you'll eat up a few fuel pumps I've gone threw 2.
Was yours diesel or gas just curious
@@otisredding5298 Kohler gas job
Thats a pretty weave on the face
That's a tweco connector
That was my early observation as well. Presenter is well intended though.
I just bought a 325 EFI and would love to have that wire feeder.
Well next week I will start operate one of this and look like I will be the test guy
morning greetings from phoenix az my question's why do you switch cables? i got a bobcat 250 and a Esab suitcase am connect my lead like if am going to use stick just switch the knob selector to wire and it's work
I switch the cables because I need to run DC- for the type of self shielded wire I am using. So I want my ground clamp to go off the positive terminal and then I just figured I would put a connector splice in the electrode holder. This way I could plug into the dinse connector on my suitcase wire feeder from my stick lead. Basically, I did what the local welding supplier told me most others do. Hope this helps.
I have the 225 bobcat ,I don't think you have to switch the cable s to switch the polarity, it switches it for you when you select gas or no gas....that's y the extra spater
Studying for my CWI inspectors certification and Not being a welder my self this video explains so many things. Great video!
Thanks, glad it helped!!! Good luck on the test!!!
Finally a video of someone showing how to set up a suitcase thanks
