Im using the 4 Set Draconic, so im Judging SoR a lot. The Judgement dmg of SoR is pretty high and more worth than the little stun in my opinion :). Using HS before the fight is a good idea tho!

@@WhiterWoW I'm with you on the SoR damage, but it can be nice to sway to Justice vs healers or boomkins/flag carriers. Justice should be a familiar keybind IMO.

@@easycake3251 ive done my r13 honor cap this week with BOTH the pure 5/5 shock/exo build using fanatcism w/ ~42%crit on holy spells + an extra 9% on holy shock via r12pvpgloves, zg neck, t2 holy 2pc and am getting around 800 spell dmg from shock n awe before buffs... and my other spec is this exact build in video but with diff gear setup favoring melee using only 2pc t2 for 20% judge dmg and not consume seal. have t2 2pc for 5% shock crit, 3pc zg for 50% holy shock obv, and 2pc t2 coreforged for the 2% crit pieces chest/legs w/ a crown of destruction using wrath rune thanks to all of the extra 5% crit from ret tree talents and the melee gear your spell dmg crit is alot higher and now your consecrate will also do decent dmg w/ crits.. i had better success running hallowed ground than aegis however. against some classes my consecrate was outhealing the enemys dmg completely lol. you get like 500 attack power using the more melee hybrid build at the cost of maybe 350-400 dmg on shock and awe and honestly you dont notice it much (you will obv notice the less dmg on exorcisms without 5/5 set bonus zg but the seal/judgement dmg is a bigger gain)but you DO notice the extra melee/seal of righteousness/judgement dmg and can get an easy 5-10% extra crit on your holy dmg spells compared to the fanatcism setup and im having similar success in both. you are a 1v1 machine with either build and both are better in some situations i think. in phase6 we can get a new libram finally giving us the effects of sanctity aura with a small % dmg increase to holy shock. one thing thats really given me the edge in just about any situation is constantly switching librams according to whats happeing. throwing on libram of plenty b4 a crusader strike is difference in getting back like 350 -400 mana vs 1200-1500. it scales hard and when used like that makes you infinitely sustainable in any 1v1 situation

@@mariusflo1 I'm guessing he is referring to the nerf in Phase 4, where instead of Holy Shock resetting after a crit, the cooldown is reduced to 3 seconds instead. This killed the Holy Shock chain that we were hoping for and was a last minute nerf.

@@GKSonick understandable but it being 3 sec don’t affect much the rotation the actual cd is 1.5 sec due to gcd. So u can squeeze a exo after the shock and if u crit with shock basically comes off cd after the 2nd spell. This to me is more organic. And overall is not a nerf cuz they doubled the int on shock and awe. Gladly give up 1 gcd for 500-600 more spell damage

Maybe, but your dps wont be really good. ZG Set is mandatory to do some at least viable dps as a Shockadin. Playing the T2 Holy 6 Set makes you sort of a battle healer. I think its a really cool concept, but I never was able to try it, because Im not a Holy main.

I’m just thinking, if you could trade out a healer spot in your raid comp for someone who does 60-70% as much damage as a dedicated DPS and who is able to heal competently BY DPS’ing, wouldn’t it be a significantly larger net DPS gain, while simultaneously taking advantage of the considerable healing and utility that shockadin is able to provide?

@@patrickburke2187 u can get full wbfs to 3k dps and consec will heal for 500-600 each tick and that’s only for the group can easy go zg set and 4p holy t2 for that 600+ hps consecration. If u wanna go the full 6p ur dps will go down by at least 1k but your beacon target will be immortal. Personally in raid is not so good. Dungeons and pvp the holy t2 works best

@ only if your raid supports the ideea and plan accordingly. Using a gcd to put beacons on diff targets is both a dps and hps loss. Mages and druids are better with healing while doing dmg

You lose a lot of dps, if you dont have the ZG Set tho. I would suggest a mix of 4 set Draconic t2 Holy + ZG maybe :). But Im not a Holy main, so HPS might be too low with that. But try it out, if you got the necessary gear for it and tell us your findings :).

Yeah, someone also simed a version with SoR and 1h. But you need to fully commit your gear with a lot of SP for it. If you can do that, go for it!

You need to be at least lvl 55+ for it to drop. But it also was bugged since release on various steps as well. I would suggest to get other runes as well before trying this one

Holy Shock > Exorcism > Avengers Shield > Consecration. If you have 4 Set Draconic Ret combine everything with Judgement as well and activate SoR at the beginning. For burst: Wings + Divine Favor + Trinkets (all in 1 macro) and then do your prio list :).

I have to disagree here. I tried it out with SoR and was less dps overall. Its true, that its the normal way for Shockadin with SoR and for pvp thats the way for sure. But on PvE, if you go with 1h and SoR you lose so much dps. Going 2h with SoR is just wasted weapon damage with Windfury procs. Also the mana reg from SoM is a great raid utility you would lose here. If you go as a heal hybrid SoR with 1h could be better tho.

@ i will try your build aswell and see what are the breakpoints for som sor cuz it allways depends on what u have on and how much of smth u can get. Will provide numbers aswell Maybe yea with a slow 2h the dps is higher. Ive just compared sor and som on truthbearer and both versions are quite fast

Do you run low on mana ever? Libram of plentiful is hard for me to drop

@@Chonyay I am using the 1-handed version of truthbearer which is incredibly fast and a shield. If you have judgement of wisdom on the enemy and keep seal of martyr up, you should not run into any mana issues, especially when you have a feral in your group. Additionally, there are gloves that can be crafted, who have the blazefury effect, meaning it counts as a separate hit on each swing increasing your regenerated mana even further and can procc art of war. The only times I run out of mana is in pvp or during long rounds of aoe with no tough opponent to have judgement of wisdom on. I barely even use crusader strike.
