I love the whole story behind this book, how you took it on vacation, used the same set of pencils throughout the entire colouring, all the people who coloured the bits and bobs with you and their stories. What an absolutely amazing keepsake. I can understand how finishing this particular book is bittersweet because it’s not the same as finishing other colouring books. This almost feels like the end of an era so to speak, because of all the memories it holds. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hey Tonja, I am completely overwhelmed by this heart project! Usually I don't look at a flipthrough video that lasts almost an hour, but with every page turning there was a deep friendship and connection between you and this book. The Starbucks double side at the end with all the people and their stories touched me incredibly! And also the appreciation of your 24 colorful companions on the inside cover at the back - so beautiful !!! I hope you can find a new book that will be able to accompany you to the cafe and when traveling!

I came to your channel because Jazzy Doodle talked about your Buddy colors.

Just curious.. why didn't you just use your polys for the coloralong example? They are exactly the same colors as the albrechts?

I do a very similar thing but for individual sets because I don't like mixing my pencils. The only exception is polys/prismas which I have 50 pastel prismas and a selection of colors for metal mixed into my poly case.. they are opaque and sit on top of my polys for highlights and I love using them together. I also prefer the formula of the prisma for skin and metal so I'm set there and no longer have to go dig out more pencils from another case (I do have a full set of prisma for their own use as well). I'm never happy with the brands default color sorting and want my pencils in the exact color family as I see it, all undertones separate, light to dark order. The swatch sheets live in their pencil cases. It takes me a couple of hours to put one together but totally worth it when it comes time to use them. I do have a bookmark to a very similar combined swatch chart by Karen Valentine, hers are all artist pencil brands and are sorted by color irregardless of brand.. it's a handy resource for finding that one specific color. Since they are all artist brands and thus available open stock it's also great for picking out a set without repeating the same colors over and over again if that is something that interests the user.. so many of these sets are just the same colors, with just a handful of unique shades. I'm weird about the textures so it doesn't work for me but I know plenty of artists mix them with no issue.
