A cheerful rendition. However, I've discovered strong evidence that Edgar Allan Poe wasn't the author. I won't even say he wasn't the "original" author, because if my research conclusions are correct, he had nothing to do with it, his claim being merely a brazen public scam. I have found that the real author was Mathew Franklin Whittier, the younger brother of the famous Quaker poet, John Greenleaf Whittier who, it turns out, was no mean poet, himself.

Enjoying the narration/ reading. The reader doesn't JUST read, he performs. That makes all the difference. Saul Pecksniff's 'motto could be, *"Come into the Parlor"* , said the spider to the fly. If I have the story correct, (having watched the Mini-series) Pecksnif put up aspiring architects and then plaigarized their work. Would that be accurate?

I've seen the 6 part BBC mini-series, with Tom Wilkinson and Paul Scofield and enjoyed it. So now that I have a fair grip on leading characters, I'm going to dig in on the full meal of the story. Thanks for posting!
