I have a thing on my steering wheel that tells me rpms, speed in kmph, lap counter and my delta compared to my fastest lap

no lol, sometimes theres prize money but not much compared to the cost

@@HappyIceSkate-lj6hm not really, depends how much you want to do though. Cleaning can be 10 min or hours depending on how much you do. Same with servicing parts. Engines are closed so not much room for servicing or tuning

The bumps hurt your ribs a LOT, my ribs hurt even with one. Also if u crash you can bang them up so good to be protected

On this track configuration 90 or 91 is the most I’ve gotten on my timing device on my steering wheel. Seen someone go 104 at another track before though

Most are done at goodwood (this one) but I also race at many others. Races titled HRKC, MIKA and many of the kart stars are other tracks.

Yep all the time, if you watch the video I’m bump drafting the guy in first the whole race to go faster together. Sometimes though, when overtaking people will touch side pods

@@anthonyfrattaroliracing I found that often in pov kart videos, that the comment section will become flooded with people telling the author that they are slow and telling them why. It seems to be a sort of running joke in karting vids i've seen.

@@SynchroFPS idk what ur watching but people don’t tell you why “your slow” they help newer drivers with tips to be quicker. Ik why I wasn’t fast today. I normally am a leader. It’s not a running joke in karting.

yea it depends. At this track configuration, with senior weight we get to 88kmph. Another track we've gotten to 99kmph with senior weight. Most ive seen a briggs go is 104lmph

@@Danny_SijoI can get up to 58 mph on the main stretch of our local track on ours with no draft. It takes a while to get there by L0206 is still super fun. All about conserving momentum and energy.

@@Danny_Sijo my plan is to move up to the KT if I get bored in 206 eventually. You can swap the KT on the same chassis you run 206 on so it’s nice to have that freedom. KT will have a more expensive and frequent maintenance schedule. They will probably run more aggressive tires that need changed frequently too. Our local club runs hard compound tires on our 206 which actually turn faster lap times since they let the motor spin up a bit out of the corners. They last the whole season. The only real prep work is cleaning and oil changes. I am a busy parent who is just trying to get a little racing in so it’s perfect for me. Just some food for thought, all depends on what you are looking for!

yes i can, probably at most 15 pounds, not a big fan of it though. personally don't fit the way I drive so I haven't tried it in a bit

You know the more you can keep the front wheels straight the faster you'll go. Moving weight forward might free up the back end so you can rotate the kart with less steering input. It is different, feels like steering with the rear wheels but it's fast when you get it balanced just right.@@anthonyfrattaroliracing

​@@giffy5775 See on this track it was just resurfaced so there was absolutely 0 grip, it was like an ice rink haha, so I needed as much rear grip as possible to keep it from stepping out, I wanted the stiff rear end. While it makes sense what you're saying on a REALLY grippy day when I'm trying to remove as much grip as possible and loosening it up, taking weight out of the rear makes it easier to start hopping and lifting the inside wheels off the ground since there is less weight to hold me down. What you're saying makes sense its just never worked for me.

Very, you can’t really tune briggs engines and drafting is insane so it helps with close racing

@@anthonyfrattaroliracing at about 7m 9 seconds the Karts hitting was obvious on the entry into the corner and you could see it was going to happen... If they are idiots in rental karts, I understand it... But a proper race series way too much hard contact and some of the lines were shocking.. Some of those guys need Sat Nav to find an apex.. I have driven with a 7 time British Kart Champion in a 6 hour endurance race series and raced against a guy who went on to be world Touring car champion (Rob Huff) and there was almost NO contact like that. All it does is slow you down and ruins the lines for drivers behind the carnage.

Oh I thought u were talking about me haha. Ya this is the mid pack so people are not really too quick. I was the fastest driver on track this session and like 1 second faster a lap than these guys so I was able to catch quick with their sub par lines. It’s also constantly rubbing in mid pack but even sometimes in the front, it’s briggs racing and people like to compare it to NASCAR, “rubbing is racing”. Which I agree with to a degree, there comes a point where it’s too much and you just gotta give up the position. Some people just aren’t aware and use it as an excuse when they crash.

Ya I did get lucky not to crash with them lol, I would've definitely passed them all eventually though, I was lapping almost a second quicker a lap with the fastest lap as well. This was only like 27 karts I think, we're allowed a max of 40.

Honestly not really, this is my favourite track out of the 6 tracks i've been to and multiple configurations. It's very tight and technical with a long straight which makes it super difficult to be quick and consistent because we are on relatively longer, top speed gearing which means that carrying speed through the corners is even more important and difficult due to less acceleration for the top end speed. You can pass on the straight up the hill, down the hill into into turn 1, 4, 5 and 9. If you really want to see a track where you cannot pass you should watch the most recent 5 videos. That configuration was impossible to pass.

there are easily 4 places great for overtaking, and 3 of them are practically in a row

Not sure what ur asking tbh but the tires we run are Vega blue 6.5 in the rear and 4.6 in the front. Which I assume is inches cause they’re American. The rims I assume are the same size as the tires.

Depends on the circuit and weight, these engines are about 9.8hp and we run 340lb of weight. The most I've ever seen someone go was 104kmph, running 295 weight I believe.

Thanks, for my first time ever here I was surprised that I was quick lol. It is about a 3.6 gear ratio. You can go lower or higher depending on what u like.

Just looked back and remembered u should keep in mind this is on the fresh resurfaced track where I was running a max grip setup. When the track rubbers in I would think the gearing would drop 1 or 2 teeth

We personally own these karts so there actually are no waivers. You buy a club licence, bring your kart and pay entrance fee and just drive. By signing the entrance fee you agree to the regulations that say they are not liable. There are much faster karts than this though.

The engines are briggs and Stratton, They go to about 100km/h. The main engines internationally that I’ve seen are Vortex ROK, ROTAX and X30 which go to about 120km/h and accelerate much faster. You can also have ROK and ROTAX shifter karts that can go to about 150km/h. There are many different chassis though. OTK has like 5 different names, BirelART has like 3 names and there’s many more single name chassis like Awesome! Kart, intrepid, Sodi and many more. This may sound confusing but a bit of research will tell you a lot and many UA-cam videos make it easier to understand as well as people at the track who are always EXTREMELY friendly and helpful!

It can mean a few things, from "be smart" to "use your head" to "let's work together", or my favourite, "I just messed up and this is a desperate attempt to have you push me instead of passing me."

Ya it was a big shunt but the guy was okay. It created a lot of chaos tho cause the rain from earlier in the day built up on the barrier and when he hit it, it splashed on the rest of the track on the other side.

So annoyed, I even went cautious. If only I didn’t spin I’d be 6th 😔

I can’t wait to return to Point Pelee next year!
