Episode 3 - Prepping for a Power Cut! What do we need when we have no electricity?
This episode focuses on how we would substitute everyday items that we take for granted in the event of a power cut. There are several different ways in which you can adapt your home, or inexpensive items that you can purchase that will come in really handy for both short or prolonged power loss. Remember, it's not just about lights!

Переглядів 5 тис.Рік тому
In this episode I give viewers a look into my medical supplies cupboard to show what basic items I store and detail items you might not necessarily realise could be important to stock. I also show you a quick look at my basic kit that could prove vital in the event of a situation where you will not have access to certain items.
Episode 1 - What is prepping? Why do we prep? Food storage.
Переглядів 21 тис.Рік тому
This episode is a basic introduction as to why I have been prepping for over 15 years. Many of you will be thinking what exactly is prepping and why do some people do it? Perhaps you've been thinking of beginning to prep yourself but are unsure as to how to begin. I will be showing you a quick overview of my food storage container and how and why I store certain foods. Following this episode I ...
You are prepping for something major. Is it wise to advertise on the web that you have a store of food that could be stolen?
Excellent info. Many thanks.
These are great videos and information however you have so much in your medical supplies that would last fifty years at least.. why? these things would be so far out of date
if ever you need to update its now do you have another channel ? good uk channels are hard to come across wd hope see some updates soon
In your first aid kit include the following dressings: Bactigras and Inadine. These will help to avoid infections. It is best to get both kinds because Inadine contains iodine and not everybody can tolerate iodine on an open wound. For weeping wounds get a calcium alginate dressing such as Kallostat or Cutiderm. These will help stop wounds from weeping excessive moisture which may inhibit wounds healing. Ensure that you have some micropore or silicone tape because not everybody can tolerate ordinary plasters. Also include some Neosporin as a topical antibiotic option. The aim is, wherever possible, to avoid wound infections.
I have a similar outdoor setup.Lots of fun and educational for all. Shame you haven't put out any more videos.
I have just started prepping. Thanks for the presentation ❤
A water filter is a must. Make sure you put some mouse traps down in your storage area.
Where do you get your gear from? Do you have a recommendation?
I just noticed it says “you suck” in you avatar 😂
Thank you for the upload I really enjoyed it! Hello mate I was just thinking. If you had a bit of down pipe you could cut an opening at the bottom for grabbing tins out (like vending machine). When you pull a tin out the next one hits the bottom. Replenish at the top of the pipe. A stack of whatever tinned food you want would go right to the opening of the pipe at the top. You place the freshest tins you’ve just bought at the top and the older tins fall to the bottom as you get a tin out to eat. It will replenish itself.
Good effort fella
Just found this page... Read vids and advise. You could also invest in a solar backup battery which you can use to keep your fridge etc working for longer. Sar lights are fab and work in winter too most days.
Great channel, great sensible advice. New subscriber, looking forward to checking out rest of your videos 👍🏻
Where are you bro? You were making great content!
May I suggest having a pressure canner and or water bath canner. I buy tons of meat when it’s on sale and I can it up. I can beef, pork, chicken, sausage, bacon, ribs, beans, soups, meals, etc… I also make tons of ghee. Plus, if you keep tons of stuff it the freezer and the grid goes down, all you need is a canner, jars, and propane cooker. You won’t lose that stuff.
I’m a Texan that has been prepping for years. I used to travel to the UK quite often and I have several friends I still stay in contact with. Not one of them think they should prep. It boggles my mind. This warms my heart to see. Blessings.
Thank you
Living out in country and always prep through winter in case get snowed in, more important than ever now to prep, saved me money as well as prices go up all the time.
Dental kits temporary fillings and Anbesol pain relief. Also tampons and sanitary pads More as trade items as well as own family use. Didn't see KY jelly, bicarbonate of soda, charcoal tabs but might have been in your boxes. Really good loading though. Great to see a UK preppe r channel! 😎

New to prepping but really helpful mate !
Finally some decent uk prepping 💪
I’m in the UK and I’ve been prepping for 4 years. I’ve been unemployed and to me it makes sense to have extra of everything in case of unemployment, you can’t get out for some reason and many other reasons. When panic buying happened, I didn’t have to worry about anything as I was well stocked. You only have to buy a few items extra of what you normally buy and it soon builds up. I started with tins and packets. I’d buy an extra large toilet roll pack once a month. Toiletries, batteries, candles, matches, washing powder/liquid and cleaning products. I’ve got a couple of 10kg buckets for rice and pasta. Only buy what you eat. Don’t forget seasonings, stock cubes and beans pulses for thickening up soups and high in protein and fat. Honey is good and keeps forever. Good for sweetening things and good the immune system. I’ve also stocked up on sweets, chocolates and crisp. I have basic medical supplies in the first aid box which is updated regularly - plasters, gauze, antiseptic, antihistamines, bandages and saline spray. I also make sure I have vinegar and baking powder as these can be used in the house for different things in the house and are cheap. Dried fruit keeps a long time as well as tin. Keep your freezers well stocked too. Don’t forget cereals and porridge. If you have pets, don’t forget to stock up on food for them too.
Hi. I’m in UK also. Thanks for your input you mentioned some things I’d not thought of.🤗
Brilliant gentle introduction to prepping. Thank You !
Hoping that you are going to post more videos soon. Greetings from New Zealand. An ex-pat Brit here. Lighting and alternative power came in very handy when we had a cyclone come through in February. We were without power for a week - which really tested our preps and pointed out that solar power alone is not enough. 2 or 3 dull days when there wasn't enough sun to recharge our battery bank showed us that we needed a petrol generator to keep the fridge and freezer running. Lesson learned.
Very nice supply cupboard for your first aid and medical needs.
What we do when we use anything from our Prepper store is we write down on a chalk board what we've used and the next time we do a supermarket run, we buy double - thus replacing what we've used and adding to our supplies. Great first video. Looking forward to more.
Great vid subbed ☮️👍🏾
I'm a Prepper, been one most of my adult life, I start Birthdays Christmas gifts as soon as one is over plan for the next. Toilet paper has never been an issue even during lockdown I helped a few elderly couples when they couldn't get any. Store what you eat though, unless you buy things to barter along the way. Great points you make ❤
I have a Christmas/gift sinking fund, put a bit away each month. Do the same for other areas too, like car maintenance, DIY etc
Tasty. Your stocks are good too :)
great job! you are missing a old time rubber water bottle tho. can use for hot water or add ice.
You could move your tea bags into glass jars with a screw-top lid. That would keep them sealed up tight and you could buy in bulk and swipe from storage to move some into your regular kitchen. Same for pancake mix, sugars, etc. Also, for a true emergency, you might want to stock up on charcoal briquettes or even better, an eco stove that burns several types of fuel. I have one called an Eco-Zoom, I believe, that also burns small twigs if you don't have the fuel pellets. Just an idea. Oh! water filters too!
If I should wait until I need the food before I buy it, it could cost me a lot more later. That's just one reason why I prep.
Nice..Preppers all around the world unite! Joke aside, the world is crazy right now and if you are NOT doing some kind of prepping, you will be very sorry.
You really seem like a lovely guy! Everything you have is what I've been getting myself and its nice to see more UK Preppers. You have gotten a sub from me bud!
How about a video on how to defend yourself in the shtf scenario
