New Tudor Ranger 2022 unboxing. The little brother of the Rolex Explorer 1.
I have one with Jubilee strap, it's amazing. On NATO strap it was drifting. I put it back on steel strap and the accuracy is amazing. After a week without messing with crown, it's within -1s/+2s of reference time all day long. I'm at the 6th day of wearing, when I woke up it was +1s !!!
I got the full version (nato strap and carbon fiber one version) and I love it, I don’t mind the date in the watch, it looks really cool
Hmm…something is off the date window is very close to the dial, I can tell cause I have this exact watch except that is not close to that dial 🧐
Prefer this to the Rolex Explorer. Not just the cost, but the looks.👍🏾
I've had this watch for 5 years. I can't wear it on the bracelet because of the stupid design of the lugs. It wears great on a nato though.
did it come with a tin box or a paper box? I ordered this watch and was expecting a tin one but came in a paper box
36 or 39?
Love the nostalgia angle. I’m old enough to remember the early G-Shock squares. Surfing in the UK, I needed a super water resistant/cold resistant watch, so I bought a 200m digital marlin watch (worth a small fortune now), but this other surfer was wearing a thicker Casio watch which fascinated me. The guy said that it’s a new one….A G Shock! Well, I just had to get one. It was 1984 and I bought my first G….. the DW-5200, latterly known as the ‘hero’ after an ice hockey commercial. Here we are, 40 years on and it is still working beautifully. I love the colours, so this watch you have reviewed is the modern take on the 5200 and 5600C. I’m not a fan of the red line on the GW-M5610 or original DW-5000. I’ll definitely get one of these in the next few months.
I have 43.5mm 215 model PO 600m with the 8900 movement, black ceramic dial and bezel, I have a bracelet and rubber dive strap I swap them occasionally to change the look. My favourite watch I will never sell it.
What about the accuracy? My G-5600UE lose about 1 second every 1 week. I'm a little bit dissapointed because I'd rather have a watch that gain seconds than lose seconds. Maybe because module no. 3496 (G-5600UE) is identical to 3495 (GW-M5610) with exception of radio sync (Multiband 6), so G-5600UE tends to lose seconds?
😂 you asked the same question to someone else!
Nice video! Beautiful watch indeed. I am now searching for an Seamaster 300 m with the 2500d movement. (222080.Its not easy to find a minty example from 2009/2012.. 😅
Great video, I’ve loved the first gen planet ocean since i was young, hoping to buy one in a few years time when i finish college. I know this is an old video but I have to ask, what are some reputable websites I can buy this PO in the future? Cheers
What was the point of that 🥸
Looks like the longines
Wowzers, 4 mins in 3 weeks!? That's only +11 secs per day! It's performing within COSC!! 👍😁
Great looking watch I have other Omegas from that era and I'm tempted to get it even though I have a small wrist
Maganda yan pare ko
is that 39mm
Best video ever made i just ordered this watch and got it for 63 dollars. And also is this watch still your favourate and is it still comfortable to wear even while sleeping?
Whats the ref. No for this?
San Martin Ranger ref SN0107G
How much bro?
It’s Au$650 discounted from Au$800+
Great video. What about nato strap? What size of strap we need
20mm NATO strap for the win!
@@alwaysgoclockwise6019 Thank you brother!
@@alwaysgoclockwise6019 what do you think what color of the strap would look the best?
Sold mine and regretted it right away. Picking one up soon.
I almost sold this to fund a Rolex purchase. Thank goodness the watch I wanted got sold before I was able to sell this. After realising how much I really like this, its for keeps.
I was born in 96 and never owned a g shock... But this watch is giving me the nostalgia even when I never owned it... Ordered one yesterday... Can't wait for tomorrow
You won’t be disappointed. Congrats!
Looks nice. My daily driver is the Skyfall PO with the 8500 in-house movement and will likewise also be highly collectible as well for that reason.
Thsnks🙏. Yes, I agree.
Nice review pare. Subscribed. Keep going.
Thanks! I’ll be reviewing my latest pick ups (Seiko SBDC 059 and SBDC 061). It’s just been terribly busy at home and at work.
G5600e solar vs g5600ue solar which is the best
G5600UE
The UE is better in that it has; 1. Improved illumination - no more green/turquoise EL backlight but instead they changed it to white-colored LED display. 2. The module allows you to change the date format which is very useful in the non-US region. Instead of 4.24 for 24th of April, you can now set it to 24.4. 3. There is the option for the duration of the backlight where you can choose either 1.5 seconds or 3 seconds.
Am been trying to buy this but still in doubts.. G-5600UE is better or DW-5900Bb is better . Please please reply...
You can’t go wrong with the UE. I can’t speak for the Bb as I don’t have it but the UE I have used as a GADA and it’s a winner!
Thank you so much.. am taking it ❤️
I have one with the orange bezel and orange numerals at 12, 6 and 9. I love it. Bought it the first year they came out, and last year it had it's 10-year service (a bit overdue), which was a real wakeup. This was my first 'luxury' watch and paying over a grand for a service was a shocker!
Yes. I got mine serviced last year as well. We are lucky the 2500 caliber is easier to service. The newer models are far more expensive as parts are not accessible by non Omega service centres.
Good video, this looks like a good watch. I have the G-Shock Rangeman which I like and fits my wrist. Would consider getting this model as a smaller alternative with all the good basic features I would want on my watch. It has the classic look too. I may consider spending more to get the GW-5000U-1JP with the steel core, diamond coated backplate and softer strap. Do you wear this very often?
Thanks🙏.Yes I do. Its usually my Friday rotation with sneakers at work. 👍
And its a fraction of the price of the Rangeman! 👍👍
Does your rotating bezel lineup? Mine doesn't.
Yes it does. Luckily! 👍
“Talaga” you almost slipped pare! Great review!
Ha ha ha no edit! It is what is parekoy! 🤣 Thanks for watching & commenting 🙏
On my list to buy one soon.
Can’t go wrong for what you get.
Deciding between this or an older 16570. I love the orange arrow. I'd prefer maybe 40 or 41 mm. But can easily wear 42. I think I've made up my mind. Good video, thanks!
Thanks! Appreciate your comment🙏 You can’t go wrong. The 5 digit references are equally stunning. Now that one I’ll go Polar! 216570, I went black due to the 1655 nod.
Im used to wearing my Tissot PRS516 Chronograph so I guess it wont be much of a difference if I plan to get the lunar pilot then. How much nyo po nakuha SRP yung watch here in PH? Thank you for the informative unboxing!
Bought it overseas. Aussie$400.00 on sale. It was to make way for the new 43mm size release. Lucky!
Thanks for the review! If you don’t mind, can you kindly share your wrist size please? Currently it’s not available at my local AD, wondering if it might be a bit too big for my 15.5cm wrist
Hi! My wrist size is roughly 17.9cms
I just bought it and love it. I feel will be just after the AT skyfall regarding its popularity.
Yes….the AT Skyfall and SM NTTD are perennial favourites, 💯% BUT… You will always refer to the FIRST BORN of Daniel Craig 🤣👍👍
@@alwaysgoclockwise6019 but the 1st one is not the 45mm casino royal on rubber? 😊
Sinn 556a for $1600 is a decent alternative
Agree! Love the classic 556! I wouldn’t mind adding an RS in my collection!
sure agree the lunar pilot is a great watch excellent value for money compared to the Omega moon watch the original commander Dave Scotts watch was 43mm Bulova have now produced a 43mm version & a Snoopy version white dial with blue chrono sub dials which are outstanding which i own & the 45mm black dial cheers now.
Indeed @nigelbowler1601 , with the smaller re-issue, Bulova hits the sweetspot! 👍👍 Thanks for your input.
Great video and your four reasons are all spot on. Love my PO 2201.50. I’ve owned it for a few years now and it is my hands-down favorite. Better than any submariner. Here’s a fifth reason: You can have your local AD upgrade the clasp to an adjustable version. You do have to swap out the links at the clasp with screw-in versions but it’s not a huge deal. In my mind this makes the watch absolutely perfect.
Thanks matey! Excellent fifth reason!!!
While steinheart are about there will be no need to buy anything expensive? Just waisting money.
It’s a well made, swiss watch! I love mine and will always be worn in rotation. Can’t believe the quality for the price.
I bought the black 42mm PO in 2008. One year later I fell in love with the orange PO chronograph and I since I already had the SMP 300 I felt that it was one diver too many. So I gifted the black PO to my father. It came back from service some months ago and now it looks as good as new. Sometimes I wish I still had it in my collection but it always puts a smile on my face when I see it on my fathers wrist.
Awesome family Omegas. It never really left. It’s worn by your dad! Great gesture! Wish my kids would do this too in the future 👍👍😃
@@alwaysgoclockwise6019 Keeping it in the family was the only possible way for me to hand it over. If I sold it to someone else I would have regretted it immediately. By giving it to my father it never really left as you say. And it looks so good on him! We are quite an Omega family. My mother has the medium size sword hand SMP. She loves it and regularly get compliments for the watch.
worst review I've ever seen
Got the version with date, and comes with leather and nato strap all for 311USD only from J*mashop.
That’s an awesome value for a watch with actual NASA horological history you’d have to agree. 👍👍
hard to find for under 5k aussie
That’s true unfortunately but still easier to find than others of the same dive pedigrees.
Bul' oh va. Thank you for the video. I am ordering one.
You wont regret it. Starbuy in Sydney have good deals on it!
Thus watch hits the mark as a daily driver…don’t understand why it gets a bad rap.
Exactly my thoughts! Too much negative comments without looking at it’s past iterations. 👍🙏
I really think na ampogi ng lunar pilot. I'm planning to buy the 43mm version as my first 'pricy' watch. Tho the black one is the closest homage to the original I also think the blue panda is a looker. Thank you po sa video sir!
Thanks for watching🙏. Yes. The 43mm is the perfect size. I got this on special due to the fact Starbuy was getting ready to sell the 43mm stock. You can’t go wrong! I like the Snoopy/blue panda version👍👍
I’m a big fan, especially at the price point they’re asking.
Definitely! Last year I bought it on release for Au$4160. This year before my video I checked and the recent price increase has it at $4460. Still a lot of watch for the money considering most of that price point has ETA or Sellita movements. This one is a bonafide COSC in-house Tudor movement.
Can't understand all the hate it's been getting
Me too. A lot I suspect is the lack of understanding of its horological history. It’s not the fancy watch of tudor. It was modelled after the big brother Rolex Explorer as an exploring tool watch. People misconstrue what it’s heritage is and where it sits in the Rolex/Tudor extended family.
