The Terrible Cost of Failure when playing Mörk Borg - Tales from the Tabletop by Gabe Dunston
He just played Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.😂😂
So basically prince charming from shrek?
COOOOOOL
Dude reinvented Gaston
Beat me to it
That new player oneshot story honestly could be made into a movie.
Were there ANY survivors?
Yesn't. - Him. Orobably.
And then the party carried the doors of the house as shields.
Trying to avoid the censors makes the story stop making sense, if you are so worried about being suppressed by the algorithm, just pick better stories to talk about don't change words.
For what its worth, "unexist" was the name of the spell in the original text. I didn't censor anything. Usually the only censoring I do is subbing out cuss words. I, sometimes, work with young people so I try to keep it clean enough for them.
Y-Yeah, i THINK the power of a miniature SUN is a PRETTY good way to defend your homeland, guess we know which lord is better :D
This sounds like the beginning of morrowind when the wizard falls
The punishment for illegal moves are prety intense
I live under a rock and do not know who Frazetta (Fritzetta??) or the Death Dealer are, but that is a cute freakin’ dog
Why thank you. :-)
Death Dealer!
I play dnd for the same reason I play video games, to have fun
Character: monk, gladiator background. DM: Takes Character sheet then reads it Hands it back It's just a friendly sparing
"Okay, that rule is bullshit, and pretty much all players agree that it is, go find a new party to DM for"
Oh man, if only like they clearly indicated this was discussed in session 0 and already accounted for. This is a nice way of dealing with this type of player. I would have just kicked them from the table.
@kamehapa Damn, you really can't tolerate even a little conflict between the Party? It makes stuff interesting for me, in the Party I am currently a part of, there have been a few moment when we almost started slaughtering eachother, it was fun.
Bro just removed the entire plot of dbz.
I have found it is easier just to probibit PvP. Sometimes players get antzy and I do have specific PvP games. But I rarely have to enforce my no PvP style of play. Usually, players are cool with one another.
The skit indicated that maintaining a plausible reason for continuing with the party was a gameplay requirement previously discussed (presumably in a session 0). I think that sort of rule includes prohibiting most toxic PvP.
@@kamehapa The best part of entertaining skits is when they are explained. You have a good grasp about entertainment. You make being on youtube worth while.
Thanks! You too!
Right on
Wonderful! I love edgar allan poe. So great to see some quality content like this. I feel like you'd do "the Raven" by him really well, and would definitely be interesting to illustrate. Thanks for sharing your passion, keep up with the great work! 👍
Thank you so much! I could definitely do The Raven. Not sure when a good time will be.
Interesting session 0 discussion. "Please justify why your character would be a part of this party"
" O k, but one thing, *you're MY little monster now*
Indeed. I think I might start incorporating that discussion.
Awesome video! Love the atmosphere you create and the beautiful drawing ✌️🌟
Thank you so much. That means a lot to me.
Awry... Such an underused word. Should have a giant return.
Thnak you. I specialize in underused vocabulary! :-D
Hit Boints? Or did the wizard character have one handbook?
I’ve played a bit of 3.5e but I really only played 5e. One spell created a magical shield, and I also took the shield bashing and the DM asked me why. I replied that if the shield is magic, but still a solid object, then I could theoretically use it like an actual shield to shield bash and create distance or as a reaction to summon the shield. He said that’s not how it’s supposed to work but he found no flaws, was impressed, and allowed it.
Christian metal!!!
Surprisingly, that's a thing. In fact there is a ton of it out there.
Lol, just becomes a heavy metal album cover
Right?!
Ok thats sick
isn't this what thaumaturgy is ment for?
Fun lil twist
That's funny
Nice
Very clever 😂😂
Definitely shouldve said "mimics" that way it would be on the players for not finding the floorboard ones, or better yet, set up a twist for once they defeated the two in the floorboards, before being attacked by the sign
Here's the thing, it's a mimic, it barely knows common, it shouldn't even know common, if you really want to get funny with it it might know a little bit, I had a mimic named bog, used to work for a hag, got stuck inside the death house and never left just ate strays who wandered in and rats, befriended my party of players in my campaign, literally helped them out from time to time as it slowly traveled pretending to be things that wasn't and praying upon random villagers or random animals as he just randomly stumbled across the sign they're like that doesn't seem right Is that you bog, barely knew common, so I feel like a sign not knowing proper common but getting a point across is kind of funny
@@DonutsGaming_ This actually sounds like a fun story!
Stories like this kinda make me feel like I'm over mimics. Just seems such a cheap joke bordering on DM cheating. But then, I am a curmudgeon.
Oooo. What kind of eraser is that? A sumogrip?
It is indeed! The thing is a God-send for me. Blue lead is very stubborn and the motor in the thing is powerful for its size.

@@blodulfur2445 MERMAIDUR!!!
Nice
Spiders: “gimme ur money” “AHHHhHHHhH”
Alright, admit it. You just yawned comically. We all did it, don't be shy.
This is why I love playing D&D with new players: they don't know the norms and conventions and are therefore very creative and inventive. I would 100% allow a player to cast Identify on a wound and I 100% wouldn't have thought of that on my own.
Agreed in full!
Wow, i never would have thought of that one and i have played a druid and a ranger for over 30 years
I thought it was clever too.
BADASS
Doesn't work because mimics don't speak any languages.
Mimics speak common and/or undercommon. Negotiating with a mimic is a time honoured tradition. You give them food, and don't fight them, they tell you about the other creatures in the dungeon.
@chrisflanagan7564 okay? Cool homebrew, but I only wanted to let people know that the official mimic statblock has no languages listed and therefore cannot be affected by the detect thoughts spell.
@@hannayapelekai1628 not homebrew, common mimics have been able to talk in every edition, while the less intelligent killer mimics displaced them in 5e blah blah blah old lore. Kinda sad that 5e dumbed them down so much
@@chrisflanagan7564 fair enough, the story could be using older D&D rules. Still, people should know you can't do this in 5e RAW, which is what I wrote my comment for.
I wish there was a ring of mimic friendship
Oh, you’re not gonna believe this…
It's a trap! The ring IS a mimic!
@@GabeDunstonDraws the mimic just wanted a friend ;(
Mimics have thoughts? Interesting.
As a warforge forge cleric i will use this trick
Cmon Griffy Wiffy we need ya
nice idea but the bare minimum of 180 feet falling into water? ooff.. even if you rule of cool it thats alot of dmg, also what stops the enemy from shooting back, further more this seems to be incombat so the order of operation must be a mess, i take "stories that are unlikely 500" please.
Just disregard the "you touch a willing target"
Not only is feather fall not a touch spell, it only says to “choose up to 5 creatures in a 60ft radius”. You don’t have to be willing or touched for feather fall
Touch spell rules can also not apply to a sorcerer with distant spell, or anyone who took distant spell with the metamagic feet, and it isn't a touch spell anyway. So we juet have to disregard you being wrong lol
How didnt the party take any damage falling 180 feet without feather fall? It isnt minecraft thats too high up for water to negate all of it
Cool enough to give it a pass
Fair, I appreciate rule of cool, but also feather fall is 60 ft per round so 180 feet is 3 rounds
@Potato15461 turns out it's about 186 feet that kills you landing in water so if your dm doesn't care about how that'd probably break bones and still could kill you, it's barely safe
That's only 17d6 damage, and the dm could have rolled low, it's fine!
