Blacksod Bay is an area on the Mullet Peninsula in the north of Co Mayo. The Lighthouse was famously responsible for giving weather forecasts to the Allies during World War 2, as a result the D-Day landings were postponed due to the incoming weather.

This is a video about a road trip last year down the west coast of Ireland and the various places we visited. I never plan to make these kinds of videos, but i shoot a lot anyway. As a result they are a little rough around the edges. I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I enjoy making them.

A beautiful little story, wonderfully told in images. I love the cinematography, sometimes the movements are a bit shaking, but mostly that is overshadowed by the amazing lighting.

I like how you incorporated the little shots like the handing over of money, or the swapping of passengers to show time passing. Great work! What I especially love about this is that it is an excellently executed tragedy, but leaves an open ending for the viewer decide whether or not the film has a "happy ending".
