Haecksler is based in The Netherlands and is specialized in treeworker products for urban conditions. we sell our product throughout Europe. Compact, very manoeuvrable but highly efficient machines which are available when needed in the van of the small business owner who works in garden, forest and tree work. Testing the Haecksler 4EPT wood chipper with hydraulic drive
The Haecksler 4EPT is the most comprehensive version: With a Briggs & Stratton 18 hp engine and hydraulically driven wheels, this chipper can easily be moved over rough terrain. The chipper can also effortlessly drive up slopes, hills and up the trailer. As long as the wheels have grip, no slope is actually too steep. On this model, which is not only the most comprehensive, but also has a higher price than all other versions (currently for sale under 9,000 euros). The Rugby wheel is supplied as standard. This is the wheel under the steering bar that is folded out when moving the machine. The design of this wheel works better on soft ground than a swivel wheel. It has virtually no ground pressure, so that your customer's garden is not damaged. In order to achieve the most advantageous feed height (ergonomics), this Rugby wheel must be folded in while shredding the branches. That thing is a beast. Looks to have a power feed. Would be great mounted the the back of a small truck with a chip box for a smaller landscaper.
It appears to be self feeding. Is it? And it's using knives/blades rather than hammers? Looks like it works extremely well but I would like to see how well it discharges in the rain or with just rained on material.
Yes it works with a rotating drum and the two knives are horizontally mounted. I can guarantee you that during rain it will work just as well. In fact, we get this question often and therefor we once have been feeding branches while emptying a bucket of water into the feeding chute: No clogging on this one.

Very efficient machine. I am glad to have it. Good support by haecksler as well. I received a link to online maintenance videos at purchase so I can work on the machine while watching. Blade changing no problem but must be done properly, do not fiddle about with this. My machine throws chips 5 to 8 meteres far, depending on how much leaf is on.
Superchipper, I am working with it a lot . what is the benefit of an 18 hp model?
Thank you Marc. In most cases the 13 HP Honda will be enough for arborists and professional gardeners: It is the special technique that makes this machine so fast. The Haecksler 4 equipped with an 18 HP Briggs will make you chip up to 22% faster. Considering that after having pruned a tree or after felling it, the wood chipper will work for just half an hour. The difference between the two engines will be only minutes.

Undoubtedly the BEST, my Haecksler 4 - 13 HP Honda
I now have the old model 3 and my new Haecksler 4 in use. Really love both although the newer version is a bit faster since it has a wider entry and lets us feed forked branches as well. All top gear!!

I am using my small Haecksler for a few years now and I can only say that I am very happy with it. I did not expect it to be such a time and effort saver!

Ja inderdaad: De TreeTruck achterover kippen en aan de lus van de Chipperbag trekken om hem om te rollen. Daarna kan de zak weggetrokken worden en de snippers blijven achter.
6 months ago I get it, tilt it just like a wheelbarrow, and empty the bag J Haecksler Yes that's right: Tilt the TreeTruck backwards and pull the loop of the Chipperbag to roll it over. The bag can then be pulled away and the chips are left behind.

I would like to see how far it will throw thre chip, will it hit the back wall of my truck . Blade changing is a big part of this work, a demo of this process would be good. Chipper looks good.
Hello Will, thanks and sorry for this late reaction... I will post a short video to show how far chips are thrown out: up to 7 meters. If your loading compartment is shorter than that you will have no problem ;-) Knives change will take about 10 minutes if you've been doing this a few times or else 15 minutes. You're right; Screws on the knives often are so tight on small chippers like Haecksler that it can take a lot of effort to release them. We have successfully been mounting a new type of screw (2017) which enables an easy exchange.
