Ava talking about how he wanted to be a dad was too much. I had to stop watching. It made me thinking about how my kids are never gonna know my brother.

My son was born in the mid 90s, and he LOVED Blues Clues... and frankly, I really enjoyed watching the show together with him. Steve, you were phenomenal in the role and while it may have been a bit of a detour to where you expected your career to go, know that you gave so many kids such a gift of wonder and delight in learning. No one else could have filled that role like you did - and it's even more admirable that you had to reconcile your own conflicting inner feelings and expectations. I genuinely admire your talent and strength.

Steve is by far my favorite host and character on Blue’s Clues. I love Joe and Josh just as much but there is something about Steve that makes him my favorite character: I loved how funny he was and always so happy. I never noticed that he was actually very depressed. Even when I am feeling very anxious, I feel so safe when I watch Steve on Blue’s Clues. I love hearing his voice I just feel very soothed. I wonder if he will see this comment and reply. I would love that. I’m so grateful to my mom and dad for taking me to Oklahoma City to meet the three hosts of Blue’s Clues and that day will always be a core memory for the rest of my life.
