Hey coffee clan! This past weekend we traveled to New Orleans for Coffee Fest. I own a coffee shop s these events are crucial for keeping the culture fresh and unique. Introducing new products is exciting for both us and our customers. I've never been to New Orleans so please excuse if something is spelled wrong. We LOVED the Vampire Bar, Café Du Monde, and the French Quarter. It was such a gre...

I’m knew here, curious what is MLM?
Agree 💯 NO ONE should ever suggest for someone to get a credit card!
Hi ladies! I’m a current and new consultant. I’m sorry this happened to you but I am learning you have to be firm. Yes, they can be pushy. I don’t do well w pushy people and my director and I have actually gotten into heated arguments for the way she speaks to me. But I’m still gunna do my thing. I definitely didn’t pay 3k for products. And I will not be convinced to get a credit card. I’m sorry your journey was a bad one. But like anything, if you use the products and like it, of course you’re going to want to share it people close to. I so far love the products and I don’t have to pay to go to meetings. Everything is via zoom. And I wouldn’t call them “meetings” more like getting together and using the products. I’m still listening but I haven’t and would never tell my friends and family if you don’t buy from me that means you don’t support me, and would never listen to anyone who told me to say that. I’m sorry for your experience. Sending you ❤
Thanks for sharing.
Hello, Melissa! I used to buy Mary Kay products and in 1984 tried being a Jafra Cosmetics consultant. It was easy to get out of before losing too much money, and no pressure was put upon me to stay. However, I get what's going on with MLM and appreciate you and other's telling their story.
how much healthy improvement did you notice after consuming this mud wtr?. Thanks for the review.
The change point is being able to say "no" upfront. Such an important life skill that is so needed to be able to say no.
The brain washing is giving cult 😭
I became a consultant because I love their products and I liked the idea of getting them 50% off. Our meetings are free and virtual. You make you’re own goals, if you just want your own product or if you want to make a profit. Too bad you had that experience.
The parrot is by the salty dog gift shops!
nice
Starbucks is great and all, but just can’t compete with the magic of a sweet local shop!! Wishing you all the best❤
@@kristismyk1930 thank you!! 🤍
You were just young bsby girl and life dealt you are hard lesson. I hope you learned. Boundaries, do your own research, and know its ok to let go.
I've been a rep for months now and never got any inventory and am making star rep this quarter just from selling to my friends and neighbors and honestly I do it just to get my own products at half off because I so like their skincare. No pressure from my director at all...

I have an amazing MK consultant who I love and I do buy the products I love from her. She never pressures me or tries to sell- I just ask her for what I need when I need it…. BUT- one time I was at Target and I had a lady come over to me, compliment me and talk to my daughter- she then asked if she could give me some chocolate because she could tell I was a hard working mom….. I said “umm, sure?” She gave me a little bag full of Hershey kisses and told me she was doing a giveaway and asked if I could share my number with her so I could be entered. I stupidly said sure. She called me almost every Saturday for 2 months trying to get me to come try out products and what not…. I never answered her calls and ended up blocking her. I HATED that fake-over the top positivity she would throw my way. 😒😒 Sorry this was such an experience for you 😭😭
So the only reason why I watched this it was because I saw somebody on Facebook. I used to work with like 12 years ago they were selling Mary K and I was going through their Facebook page and I notice they're still selling Mary K and I was like, wow she wasn't doing it. Really Well, back then, and come to find out. She's not doing really well now. Her car just got stolen all kind of stuff and I'm like man. Why do people say I'm Mary Kay, just go get a real job. So that's why I found this video, because I had to know what's to deal with Mary. Kay, good job. You explained it very well to me now I get it.
We need more Simply's in the world. I just want to hang out at the shop all day with my laptop or crochet with a lavender mocha while it's raining 😮❤
@@thenorthstitch it’s a vibe 🤍
Mary Kay is the WORST
I was raised in a cult. I told the MK reps at the first and only meeting I went to, that if it started to feel like a cult, I would be out. The woman who recruited me "counseled" me afterward and told me not to show up again in pants and that I must wear skirts and closed toed shoes. That was her biggest mistake. I got her in trouble by corporate reminding them and her of very basic employment law. You cannot require people to wear certain clothes unless they're salaried. Corporate Legal agreed when I got them on the phone. I called the leader out and she got nasty with me. I told her she's in a cult and coming from a sales position I could sell more in pants that she could ever sell in a skirt. I specifically REFUSED to buy "inventory", sold to family only and quickly stopped selling it because it was absolutely a cult. The leader ended up in foreclosure and left the area. I am still in my regular sales career and just set a record. But I'll probably go to the MK website and get their Timewise day serum, moisturizer and cleanser and maybe some makeup because it really was the only products I ever wore on my face that I got compliments on from people saying my skin looked amazing. Trust someone who is an expert in cults. They are 100% brainwashing. This is how cults operate. Push you to exhaust yourself, push you to spend your own resources on their mission and make you believe you're a failure if you don't "match up". Too many of them also say "you didn't do it right" if you have a complaint of any kind, either about the company or the products. I am DISGUSTED at how many grown women are sucked into this crap.
I know this is kind of random once again and this is not targeted to anybody. This is just for the whole world, ght sound kinda wacky but it’s true i live here on hilton head island and if you guys are going to come to hhi i would defiantly recommend not coming in may-july i knew that’s when everybody comes here and most people would think to come in those months but in summertime traffic is bad restaurants are packed because are filled and summertime is when the rip tide is the worst so from a local i would definitely recommend coming in mid-late august or september-november ik it gets colder in those times but it’s just a little better also match- april is good as well but a lot of times heritage is in april so it get packed and busy so that’s just my opinion, oh and just so yall know my dad works at the vacation company a rental company here on the Lowcountry so that’s how I know most of the stuff and for the July July weekend is the busiest time in case anybody is wondering so I would definitely not recommend coming in that time unless you really wanna be here for Fourth of July and are OK with putting up with off the back traffic and packed places
i live here and ik this is kinda random but it’s very stressful during summer
@@Swiftie.13893 I can’t imagine! I love HHI it’s become a very important part of my life but I can totally recognize that during the summer it must not be fun. Especially if you work at a popular place.
@@melissasavino2377 yes 100% and my dad works at a vacation rental place so its stressful at home as well but i love it here
@@Swiftie.13893 well you certainly live in BEAUTIFUL place! Wish you well! :)

Mlms are cults. Mary Kay Ash was in the illumin..ti and she sacrificed her second husband occultically (by killing him through a satanic cult as a human and blood sacrifice to Satan) in order for her Mary Kay business to be successful and order to be famous and wealthy through her Mary Kay business. That's why her second husband died a day before she opened her first Mary Kay shop
I am so sorry you had that experience the unit I am in does not push on me anything if I want to just buy for my self she is fine with that and I keep very little inventory on hand most of the inventory that I keep is stuff that I use!
I'm sorry you had this kind of experience. I've been a consultant for 30+ years and I love it. Typically the few $ you pay to attend a meeting is to help pay for the meeting room. If you are at a restaurant or someone's house then we don't pay. I never try to push inventory on someone. I find out what their goals are and give them options. What they do is up to them
Low Country Backyard should be on any top HHI restaurant list.
Looks like a lot of fun!
Such a fun trip!!!! Can’t wait to go back 🎉
It’s obvious you don’t have The Sales personality!
@@janinewatson3208 okay 😂 cuz you need a sales background to rip people off
I'm so sorry you experienced all this pressure. I'm a Mary Kay consultant (Jessica, my husband is Alfred) and my recruiter and director are excellent. No pressure at all. They made it clear our business is our business and we work it as little as we want or as much as we chose. The training has been awesome and the ladies on my team are so helpful, supportive, but never pushy at all. They just give tips all the time that we can use to make money. I'm shocked you were treated this way. I wish you never experienced this and definitely not what Mary Kay Ash would have wanted. I recommend to everyone to read the book "Miracles Happen" by Mary Kay Ash. She explains her life story working as a woman when women were not treated equal. She started Mary Kay as a way for women to become self-starters, independent, and pampered. Our team empowers each other, after all this is what Mary Kay wanted. I feel bad how you were treated. I wish you would have started with us!
You are soooo right, keep telling the truth
Appreciate your detailed review.
Great video and review! Thanks! I just ordered this coffee!
I've been using it. You're supposed to use a little water to drink the sediment left over. I get energy from it but it's NOT COFFEE... it does keep me from over using coffee and if I've had to much coffee it settles my jitters...
Y’all come back again! 🤣
Great content! Keep it up!
Great video!

YES I LOVE HILTON HEAD!!! Fav VK sport 4 sure!! ❤❤❤
At what point does someone take responsibility for over charging their credit card and paying for things they can't afford? I had to turn this off. so annoying. My Goodness, like I had credit cards at 18 and literally maxed them out on material things and eating out but I'm not blaming the restaurants or the retailers. Shoot I even went to the movie's and had nails done did it make me look any better? Idk matter of opinion I guess but lets not take any responsibility for my failures, lets blame it on the big bully in a pink Cadillac for the decisionns I made?? No way. you did this for 2 years and for what? To give up? To blame your failure on someone else. Its not for everyone. Its like school peer pressure. I don't do anything I don't want to do. I research everything now. Its my life, my choices and nobody but God tells me what to do. I'm so sorry you had this happen and felt like this. If you were my daughter and my daughter is your age and sells mk part time while going to med school I would tell you never bite off more than you can chew! Yes, you must take risks in any home buisness but responsible risks! Do not ever go in debt and pay for meetings? They should be free via zoom! Team Huddles anyway. I'm not sure what meetings you paid for. Just do you! Read Mary Kay ashes Books. She is against everything your saying. Take the free classes. They're FREE and MK legal warns you of all this. Just upsetting to hear this. I had to stop. If you work it how you want it does work. I mean your director was a director so she was successful in some way or she wouldn't have the title..you get that by recurring customers not your downline only..thats 3% commission versus 50% from customers who reorder. Idk..just sickening all around. never go against your gut, thats Gods voice! just say NO. My director tells us about all kinds of things, I don't do them all because I can't afford everything. I'm not a director yet..but it honestly works for you. The products are great and 100% refundable. Why didn't you return them? If you need help just reach out. I can give you any info you need. You do have 1 year from purchase to return all your products so if its not for you, and its not for everyone, they'll refund you the purchased amount you spent on products. Sorry but seriously lmk if you need contact info for mk corp.
No the company will purchase all the product back. I don't get a check from mk either. Sorry you had such a horrible experience! I would call mk corporate. I'm sure she wasn't pushing or trying to..I did the credit card and paid it off before interest hit. I never paid interest on my mk card. You should use the products and like them. Also the coffee is a tax write off..I just did my 1st year taxes and wow saved, got a return! You don't have to do a booth. It's YOUR buisness. I have a LP. I've chosen to do a booth but it's against company policy to sell from a booth! BIG NO NO!! Not sure what kind of people you got involved with..just sad! I've been very successful and thank God nobody tells me what to do, it's my buisness and I push nobody to do anything 💯 % sad for you. I offer people a peice of gum they say no it's okay. I don't like how you say mk pushed you..this is not MK way at all. I sold at 24 for 10 years and never had put money into inventory it took about a year using 10% of my sales to build or I'd order and they'd wait until I placed the order. I didn't ever allow anyone to call my recruits. Sounds like this wasn't for you😢. Sorry you had a bad experience!
The money is typically to pay for the room where the meetings are held. I've been a Mary Kay consultant twice for a combined total of 33 years. I love the sisterhood and the products are great. Yes, the diamonds are real. Just like diet and exercise, you get out of it what you put into it and yes. It's not always easy. One of my favorite things to do is warm chat. As for having to put in some of your money, I don't know of any business that you don't do that and yes. It 100% is a business. Anytime you receive money for products or services and pay taxes on your earnings, it's a business. Mary Kay actually operates as a duel marketing company. Pyramid schemes are illegal. When I joined Mary Kay for the first time it was 1981. I got out in 1992 and rejoined in 2002. I'm still friends with and in touch with the woman that recruited me in 1981. She's not there just yet but she has been a consultant for close to 50 years. The one thing I wholeheartedly agree with you about is putting inventory on a credit card. I would never tell someone to do that. My director and I live about 1500 miles from one another so I don't go to meetings now. Covid certainly didn't help on that score. I do however go to networking events.
I’m so sorry you had that experience!!! I have heard of teams that are like that. I’m so grateful my team is not. Yes, there’s a bit of pushing you out of your comfort zone as with any independent marketing business. But we don’t have to pay for weekly meetings or coffee. Our director does all our opportunity calls and the women are fully aware it is an opportunity call, same with “orientation”/inventory. We have great trainings and are not required to “go to everything”. We are definitely an at your own pace team, and I think that makes a huge difference! I’m so sorry again for your experience!! I had an Aunt who went through the same thing with a team like that also and she will occasionally buy products from me because they are good products but she refuses to even think about signing up again. And I totally understand, because I’ve done MLMs where I sunk money in and ended up in massive debt, I had horrible experiences with SeneGence, Tupperware and Aloette! I truly believe the team is what makes the difference and I’m sorry you had an awful team!!
You have to pray
It isn’t Why Mary kay that you succeeded. You have to work it.
I am a current mkc and I've been wanting to quit too. The pressure is too much the expenses are too expensive. And if you don't place your whole 250 purchase in the same order, shipping and tax makes the 50% profit b.s. I barely made 3% and even lost money on some. Thank you for exposing this. ❤
Just bought a vanilla cold brew latte from my local grocery to try because I ran out of coffee and the ingredients list I liked. I haven’t tried it yet. I’ll be trying it in the morning but now I’m nervous. Lol
Them coffee cost to much not to taste good so sad 😮
