Your Essential Rules for Driving in Pittsburgh
Getting behind the wheel in Pittsburgh is not for the faint of heart. From narrow streets to steep hills to ungodly merges, our city is challenging to navigate by car. Lucky for you, we teamed up with friend of the pod and former Uber driver Jakob Lazzaro (www.jakoblazzaro.com) to share 12 very important rules for driving in Pittsburgh and - of course - debate the efficacy of the Pittsburgh Left.
Want to dive deeper into the history behind our city’s quirky layout and driving rules? The Four Cities That Could Decide the Election
There are a lot of things we say here in Pittsburgh that is “native” only here. Although I don’t ever remember saying “Samich” for sandwich. 84 years of being a Pittsburgher, I never heard this word until lately when they talk of Pittsburgh language.
Damn Utocorrect
You’re wrong about the upspeak. It’s not “you goin damn there?? It’s actually a down speak. “You goin dahn there!…
Geez…Ohio more progressive than PA re: legalized weed?!? 🙄
The headline of this article is misleading. Trump clearly stated to Delano that he was leaving all birth control decisions to the states, which is in line with the recent Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade... leaving the decisions to legislate to the States. Asking about a veto of any hypothetical Federal legislation was a failed attempt to box Trump into a corner by Delano. Choosing this deception headline shows this publications bias against Trump. There were many other things Trump mentioned he would do and has done to specifically help PA'S steel and energy industries... not to mention tax cuts.
Did grandma teach her son the tricks of the trade
The new breed of magat politician is influenced directly from the WWE. DIRECTLY.
Methmom might actually win in that district. I live a few minutes from that area and worked in that district for a while and it is like a mini Alabama just outside Denver.
Madam Blowbert, needs a education.
If she is the future of our country by way of leadership in our government in our country is doomed. Other than MTG, Boebert has shown that she is one of the worst and dumbest members to ever serve in government. She should never be allowed to step back into the house or any other branch of government.
Interesting scumbag ❤
Republican and don't care for her
Bye-bye bobo
What about her son getting busted with stolen I.D's

Nice interview!
Can you tell me the list of restaurants in Pittsburgh, which we can experience the best Valentine’s Day
Im migthy glad to come across this show. Pittsburg sounds like a nice place.
I was born in Pittsburgh but i surely know nuthn about this.
7:25m the developers have said they want to build housing. They also said they can't build a 3 story building because they will only make a 6% profit.... It needs to be 8 stories so they can make 12% profit... They don't care about housing they care about profit.
5:40m correct not here. Not directly next to a park that is amazing and brings people into Pittsburgh from all over. When you have a space like this you protect it so everyone can enjoy it. It's not, not in my back yard.... It's, not in our parks!! Swisshelm Park and Squirrel Hill get to enjoy the park, but so do people from all over. Protect the park for everyone.
1:45m a wrinkle isn't that it's family friendly. It's that the park zone allows for single family homes and buildings no more than three stories they want 8 stories. And the density that is allowed is a 1:1 density they want a 1.33:1 density (which on a site that large .33 is significant) .
2:50 it's zoned P for park. You get zoning like these for several reasons. One is the proximity to the park, anything developed on that site will impact the surrounding park area. The limits of what you can build in a park zone are to reduce the environmental and character impacts. It is currently surrounded on 3 sided by park, but the URA plans to gift another section to Frick Park and then it will be surrounded on 4 sides by park. Another reason an area may end up with a park designation is because when the zoning committee looked at the area the land was found to be a bad choice for larger developments. This area is incredibly steep (not good for development) and landslide prone (real bad for development).
5:55m The reason there hasn't been a call for affordable housing is the lack of public transportation in the area.
Also, a major reason people are objecting to this development which was not mentioned is because of the major potential for landslides in the area. Both Walnut Capital and Summerset (large developments in this area) have caused landslides. Summerset's landslide ended with houses being condemned on the hillside above the development. And Walnut capitals landslide after a new parking lot ended up with forward Ave being closed from months. And even a lane of the highway at the squirrel hill tunnel was closed. Swisshelm Park does not use it as a "cut through", it is the only road that connects Swisshelm Park to Pittsburgh. If something happens to that road emergency vehicle response time to that neighborhood will be increased by the amount of time it takes to go around Frick Park. Down Beachwood, Forbes, S. Braddock (through Regent Square), up Whipple an incredibly narrow road... Oh, and around again to get to the hospital....
Bad reporting... 10:15m The Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition's (SHUC) revote was not one vote more. They did more research and the vote against granting the height and density went from a 6-7 against to 1-12 against granting the same variences. 12:50 Also Frick Park Friends is a new group, but the other loud group objecting is Upstream Pittsburgh which has been around for years but used to be call 9 mile run watershed association. Which has been working to repair and care for 9 mile run for years.
I do hope that you engage some people from Frick Park Friends the next time that this topic comes up. The issues are not nearly as simple as Deto makes them out to be.

My lemon blennd!!!! I'm so freaking upset!! That was my childhood!!! We need it back!!!!!
There's a discrimination against competent sweet natured religious sisters. We are stereotyped as mean spirited women because of the bad experiences many of us had with mean teaching sisters who did not use "best practices " in Catholic schools. However each nun should be hired based on their individual qualifications and treated as any other teacher. We should not be discriminated against. We need jobs. We are not attempting to teach religion to students. It is shocking that some peoplr wear clothing that is thought quite sexually provocative. Yet truly kind competent nuns are discriminated against as though we would proselytize in the classroom which we would not do in any manner whatsoever. We respect the right of parents to send their students to school for public academic training free from direct teaching of any subject outside of the State's curriculum. Sr Deana OSB 😊❤
