I have some responses to your points. All good points to make but ultimately shortsighted questions in the larger context of a game company that is trying to make money in the long term: 1. I think that Hyper Skills are useless overall, It should just be directly built into level progression, not points we need to save up and allocate after lvl 140. Overall good points on why you cant utilize link skills without limit 2. Vac Pets are just required powercreep after 260, agreed 3. CS should definitely be shared across all characters in your server, or across all interactive and all heroic. 4. V and Hexa systems are complex to min-max but not complex at baseline and I think the explanation that the game gives you is sufficient to start off building your character. Min-maxing will always require outside resources, as players continue to tinker and adjust with the game. 5. You're literally describing the Maple Guide lol. What you're asking for is basically a min-maxer's Maple Guide, which Nexon is actively incentivized not to do in order to continue drawing new players. Terms like "WSE" and such are created by players outside of the game, not officially recognized by Nexon. This whole segment about Roadmap and Progression I completely disagree with. You're asking for 3rd party resources and knowledge to be inputted directly into the game, for the ease of the min-max player. Doing this would actively dissuade players to upload resources of their own as Nexon would just beat them to the punch each patch. Killing interaction between players in media is how a game dies in terms of new player activation. 6. Map changes, exactly as above. You're asking for minutia-level detail only sought by a min-max player. 7. Item expiration, agreed, it sucks. A system only designed to keep players playing over a longitudinal period instead of in short bursts. Overall, better for player numbers for Nexon to keep the expiration system. 8. RNG is always going to be part of an MMO, whether its by drop tables or by enhancement rate. It overall increases game longevity and creates a monetization system. Nexon wont remove it, unless theyre actively ok with letting the game die slowly as the playerbase quickly reaches peak character ability and gets bored of the game.

For mineral pouch, either "mine ore" or "collect minerals" will work

a lot of L takes, man clearly first time 260 with hyper burn new to the game probably less than a year of gameplay and knows nothing about capturing and engaging player base through the designed features and just says "doesn't make sense" to every other thing cause man's iq is clearly below 60

They 100% need to remove link skill/hyper stat changing costs, it's doesn't do anything other than annoy players nowadays and has no impact on interactive worlds economy and has no place in heroic worlds either. Vac pet don't change your rates that much in most cases, they're just a really nice qol, it's a f2p game in heroic worlds at the end of the day and the vac pet is a way to monetize heroic worlds. They should def explain how V and Hexa works, idk why they don't. When it comes to having a progression roadmap I agree except that we're not kms where the systems make sense, we're an amalgam of disgustingly overpowered systems that make it really hard to put in an in game progression roadmap and keep it up to date. I prefer that some stuff expires like cubes so they don't clutter my inventory forever, I can see your point about other things tho. Honestly I don't really care either way :3 When it comes to the starforce rng, the progression is generally fine right now except for familiars and most of the time the starforce/cubing variance will average out over the lifetime of your account, you just have to be smart about how you approach star force and it will generally turn out ok. The familiar rng is way too crazy and the fix for that is a 5-10fd nerf to the heroic final damage passive and adding red familiar cards buyable with mesos to heroic worlds but the community kept asking for grandis fams so that's what they gave us instead.

All your ideas are for the benefit of the players, and I'd love it if Nexon implements your suggestions. Except they won't, because it makes them less money if they make the game easier to progress.

dont agree with a lot of this stuff. THey do however, need to make the arcane river dailies just give the exp for asm many characters as you can be assed to run it on in a day.

I cant take this video serious from someone who started maplestory for two months and is shocked to obvious whatcha signed up for in RNGMMO Korean Gacha Game. Most of these points to summarize this entire video is basic knowledge of you're still new to the game and have been misguided by majorities in the maple community. 1. Link Skills + Hyper stats issue can be solved by not being so wasteful with resources (mesos) its not hard to earn mesos in heroic it takes few secs from fighting one boss dungeon or farming mesos. Dont hoop through 50+ class characters (mules) just stick with one to four days for the day then wait until reset so u dont have to fork over buckets of mesos (repeat) its not rocket science. 2. Vac Pets arent an issue when maplers can get them for free through events that last for 30 days. Whoever told you their pay to win was lying through there teeth as both heroic and interactive have payment OPTIONS you dont have to spend money on this game theres optional routes to still get normal pets and cosmetics by just doing events or fight hilla for chance to get free pets. 3. Cash Shop Transfer Events exist so that maplers can transfer cosmetics other resources to class characters that cant share the same cash inventories with others if we had kms version things would be more expensive which is bittersweet trade off but not worth it in long run. Next time when deciding what cosmetics to get from events that you want on other characters maybe dont fall for make this class cause it shares the same inventory storage in its branch trap dude. 4. Systems all have (?) tabs that you should've had read and follow instructions again its not rocket science to not skip over basic knowledge if arent too sure about something then by all means click on the visible (?) tab, pick which specific questions highlighted in blue fonts, and admin instructor will tell you all about how certain progression systems. 5. Roadmaps & Progression similar to systems all have (?) tab and theres keybind guide tab that shows where to train and prequests that reward decent amounts of resources. Learn how to build your own independence and knowledge about the game you cant reliance on everything to be told otherwise u wont learn at all even with friends and guild members will still tell u to do certain tasks alone no one likes beggars let alone relatabilities. 6. Map Changes not everyone cares about their kill rates/Hrs + base XP Per Mobs On Maps some people similar like me who are seasonal/casuals just want to experience the game for fun instead of being veteran hardcores or pro jackass elitists. Battle analysis exist for those who care about that kind of optimization routes please leave this out it would be so demotivating who wants to see their kill rates be garbage, hrs based exp wasted, not being able to one or two shot for all the mobs to respawn all this would do is create unhealthy experience this sounds like jackass wishful idea. 7. Item Expirations how about use those resources even when it means to start funding other class characters (mules) instead of waste them away. You have weeks into almost full blown months to use the free or hard earn resources before they expired by midnight or whatever UTC hours etc. Jesus christ oh no you bought a one day hyper rock instead of atleast three or seven day rock how is this nexon's fault and game breaking issues to me you just made a dumb decision that reflects in your video of changes nexon shouldn't make to maplestory based on two month nw new mapler. 8. RNG MapleStory is nothing to be shocked news about u signed up to participate in literal RNGMMO 2D Mushroom Video Game that has RNG designed systems based on luck and chances if u failed both oh well dont push lucks nor gamble chances. Why is someone like you whining and complaining about this when you have almost all gears to 23stars meanwhile their are maplers who struggle to get materials other resources from midgame bosses (Arcane) to forever late/endgame bosses (Grandis) Seeing videos and read docs like this makes me and some others glad nexon started to cut off communication with the playerbase cause yall love to find things to complain about while passing it off as suggestion (feedbacks) you're not helping and serve more reasons why maplers in this community are toxic selfish entitled children. I am no exception but honestly idc it is what it is.

i think the recent maple memo talked about deviating from copy pasting kms and gms having their own unique content? having the roadmap thing would be insane, i feel like gms has the potential to implement a lot of qol stuff you mentioned

As a person that enjoyed old maplestory a decade ago and stumbled upon this video from youtube algo, i find it funny that you guys are complaining so much while playing it , seems suffocating to me to play it

I'll say it: vac pets are overrated. I got to level 285 with 70k stat on EU Reboot without buying vac pets. If you do a propper loot rotation you can get most of the meso on the map. Sure you might miss a bit, but I still pull like 1.2-1.3b every WAP without legion coupons. Besides that all the big money is in boss these days and what you get from grinding is pocket change for most people. Sure vac pets are a nice QoL, but in no way are the required for progression or "pay to progress A LOT faster".

For the 3 pet quest, you dont actually have to go to the Pet Park. You can open the light bulb UI and go start the 'Trainer's Command' quest

a boss that you can do unlimited times for a vac pet? yeah no, if they would EVER put that to drop from a boss, it would probably be a MONTHLY boss and with a very low chance.

This might be a hot take but I think bosses shouldn't be time gated based on the day/week/month limits. Literally every other popular mmo/rpg does this where you can farm a boss repeatedly for their drops/loot, and MS is the only game where it feels like a mobile game where i have to be time gated to wait another week for a CHANCE at a rare drop equip. bosses should be repeatable with (on heroic servers a lower power crystal payout), but because they're repeatable it should be within reason of spending your time to farm bosses to get chances at better equips + money to SF them

I think they should remove the time limits for everything that costs real money. Why tf do cubes, flames, stamps and so on have expiration dates? Why do cosmetics have a time limit if you pay for them?? Why can't you swap pets around to all characters even if they aren't in the same group like explorer or resistance and so on.

To be fair they said they were going to remove the cost for changing hyper stats a few patches ago....they just didn't do it and never addressed its exclusion afterwards.

Thank you! You forgot to mention that you need to finish the pre-quests "[Haven] A New Home" and "[Dark World Tree] Those Who Remained" in order to even see these weekly quests pop up in the yellow lightbulb or else they won't show up. Had to dig around the internet for a bit for that info.
