    Nice review - a few other US made sunglasses - AO Optical (similar to Randolph), Ocean Waves (FL), State Optical (Chicago - but more a fashion style), and Maui Jim (US based for now, but they were just acquired by an Italian company - thankfully not luxottica - who own Oakley, Ray Ban,...). Of these, Ocean Waves has similar styles to Gatorz, but not as sturdy for frames. I also like to support US companies and own AO, Maui J's, and Ocean Waves - all nice products if they meet your needs. Thinking about Gatorz, but I'd prefer a Trivex lens to their polycarbonate.

    Aviator or Concorde best frame?

    • @allamericanreview
      @allamericanreview 3 роки тому

      It’s a tough call. The Aviators may win just because they’re classy, go with formal or casual wear, and still look modern and youthful. The Concordes do all of the above sans the modernity. It may come down to your face. Aviators will better complement a narrower face, while Concordes may look too bulbous on a narrow face.

    Do you know if the polarized and the non polarized look the same from the outside (is there a visual difference)? I once had polarized glasses, through which you could see the eyes very clearly from the outside, which I didn’t like at all.

    • @allamericanreview
      @allamericanreview 3 роки тому

      That’s a good question. While I haven’t tested that directly, you could either ask customer service, or order the same glasses in both a polarized and non-polarized version to find out and return the pair that is more translucent. The pairs I have are polarized and are the right amount of opaque from the outside that don’t weirdly show your eyes.

    I ordered and just got the Marlondo wing briefcase in the 16" and I love it! Mines chrome tanned in dark brown. I noticed yours was "softer" than mine,is it veg tanned? Does that make a difference in how it breaks in? Either way, I love the ruggedness, the weight and how its built. I noticed the strap hooks rub on the flap of the briefcase, have you had issues with that on yours? Great video by the way, I would like to see a follow up on your Marlondo in 2021!

    • @allamericanreview
      @allamericanreview 3 роки тому

      Hey, thank you. The Marlondo in the video is chrome tanned leather. Veg tan leather patinas more readily and generally has better qualities, while chrome tan leather has what’s called pull-up as it ages. That’s where the dyes/oils are pushed out of stressed areas leaving a nice marbling effect. Either way, full-grain leather ages beautifully. I had more of an issue with swivel clasps rubbing my thigh on this bag. I actually now carry a Double Rivet Leather bag that addresses those minor issues with some other briefcases. More on that later.

    Hi All American Reviewer- I have a pair of Magnum OPz (the partially polarized lenses) and they're great. How's the anti-fog coating on the Magnum Z's? I ordered a standard smoked pair, not the photochromic, but according to the specs they both have the coating. I ordered those to help mitigate the fog coming up from mandatory face coverings as no sprays I've tried have worked on my Magnum OPz, much less any other glasses I have.

    Bought my very first pair of Magnums back in 2006-07. About a year ago the frame cracked in the lower corner by the screw hole. Now, these glasses had long-lived past their useful life in my opinion, not that I had abused them, because I had not. Gatorz sent me a brand new pair to replace them!!
