In this channel I would like to share reviews of 1:18 and 1:64 scale models that I have in my collections.
I've been collecting 1:64 model cars since I was a toddler (Matchbox), but started to seriously collecting 1:18 when I was in 6th grade back in 1992.
The cars reviewed here are not always the latest and greatest, some reviews are of older releases. I'm hoping these videos can serve as references if you happen to consider getting one of these model cars.

The car came with Scissor-Lift accessory but in my opinion it’s unnecessary and too gimmicky, it doesn’t replicate a real Scissor-Lift, so I left it out from the review. Simply pull the wheel to remove it. You don't need to unscrew anything.
On the older Norev the wheels will pull out. On the newer one like this CLE, front wheels are screwed to the spindle (see 3:30). You cannot pull the wheel out without removing the screw that holds the wheel to the spindle. This is constructed differently than older Norev cars. I tried at first pulling the wheel straight out and figured it I couldn’t. I didn’t remove the wheels completely in this video since I had some shims installed to fix some ‘lazy camber’ issue.

Looks amazing man! Nissan R34 and Toyota Supra are some of my dream cars. I ordered the Midnight Purple even tho it is more expensive. (and here in EU with VAT and shipping the price is way more insane than in US)

I hesitated to purchase the Norev E46 M3 due to the inaccuracies of the headlight especially the indicator lense. Ended up purchasing Ottomobile E46 M3 convertible, then decided to purchase yellow version as it looked too good to miss, Norev errors forgiven.
I get what you mean… with collecting these 1:18’s at some point we need to decide what is our tolerance level with inaccuracies / imperfections. But I’m quite happy with the Norev. That being said, I also have the Otto E46 Cabrio. I need to review that too!

I purchased the grey E46 M3 convertible from Ottomobile after initially not being satisfied with the inaccuracies of the Norev model (I'm a huge Norev fan). However compared to Solido (not fully opening, cheap) and AutoArt (very good detail as always, expensive but fully opening), the Norev seemed the best value; but I purchased in metallic yellow.
I have the Otto E46 convertible and like it very much !
Just received mine. It’s white just like the one in the video. Nicely detailed model of the Toyota Previa.
I really liked this GCD Previa for all the details !

No idea why the Bayside Blue is slightly different on this Nismo version. But to let you, Nissan only build approx. 19 cars majority in silver. Only two in Midnight Purple. So this blue is considered a 'fantasy' colour maybe that's why it could be different.

Length : 6.5cm (2 5/8 inch) Width : 2.5 cm (1 inch)

The real car is 4390mm. Divide that by 64 is 68mm = 6.8mm. So I think this is properly scaled

How did you paint the grills please?
I took the car apart and pushed the side grilles from the inside. The front grilles can be pushed from behind the good. Then I used Tamiya spray paint to paint the grilles.

Nice video, you've got a new subscriber! As a "openable model" fanatic, I decided to sell my Solido e46 in order to buy the new Norev version. I think I've done a good choice because, ok engine is not perfect as AA, but at least is present, and so is rear trunk. Another point is.... since when I bought solido's version back in 2022 I wasn't satisfied at all by the lines of the car....the front for example always looked to me as a fake e46, while the Norev in my opinion is more accurate and thus realistic. However, even if the darker lights of the Norev doesn't bother me at all (if I had a real m3 e46 I would probably turn them that way 😂) gotta admit that the absence of side turning signal is really strange for Norev standards....and is something that I've immediately noticed.
Thank you! Much appreciated. I agree that Norev's is overall better than the Solido's E46. And being full opening just makes it that much nicer. As of the headlight, in my "1:18 world mind", those looks like the aftermarket units. So it doesn't really bother me too much. Too bad about the missing Norev's side marker, but that's an easy fix.
Thanks for the video!! I do have 2 solidos, the laguna seca and csl and planing to buy the ones from norev. Do you think are much better and is ti worth it? The idea is to sell the solidos. And how did you paing the front grill?
Overall I think the Norev is better than Solido, but the headlight details on the Norev bothered a lot of people (I can live with it). I removed the grilles (front and side) from the car by disassembling the car and pushed it from behind. Painted it using Tamiya spray can, and reinstall.
