Insignia Modified
Приєднався 17 жов 2014
Hi my name is David Mole from the North East Of England. I love my cars especially Vauxhall's. My current Project is building an Insignia 2.8 Turbo AWD.
Project 2.8v6 AWD insignia ( VXR ) shock absorber and power steering pump replacement.
What can possibly go wrong when changing your power steering pump and shock absorbers on your insignia?
Well quite a lot lol
The pump was changed after a little modification and shock absorbers cause a headache in this one.

Are the chassis identical to one another then? Like would I be able to put a 2 litre petrol turbo in my CDTi if I move everythign over
can you give me your instagram link? i want to see this beautiful car's side wiew 😊
how many horse powers you gain with swap?
Unless you have all the time in the world and nothing better to do, it must be so disappointing / frustrating when you go to that much work and then the replacement part doesnt line up.
That was really interesting, I have a '08 Saab 9.3 Aero XWD, it's currently operating correctly, but it's been a bit of a black-box until now - that was a great explanation.
Hallo ,number of reparatur satz for haldex
Hi buddy what lowered springs you running as I see you drive on blocks like I do, love the green
Hey i just finished watching all your awd conversion videos. Very detailed and cool swap! It looks like it all bolts right up. Have you noticed any frame/chassis differences between the FWD and AWD models especially in the driveshaft tunnel area? From what i can tell the fwd and awd regal/insignia chassis are identical.
Hi, can you please tell me what part number you bought for the power steering pump? Alternatively, write the manufacturer and the exact type?
Hi mate, have an idea If i can convert my insignia b 4*4 to rwd
Unfortunately I don't know that one. Did they do a awd in your platform?
@@insigniamodified yes, especially the gsi came with awd
Hello, you put the epoxy paint?
Hi mate. How you removed the steering pump pulley. Did you removed it special tool ( puller ) or just only turn the center bolt? I need change my pump bearing and seal in my garage. I watched already lot of pulley removal videos. But my pulley different from the other pulleys. No edge for seat the special tools. Anyone can help me experienced for pulley removal?
Iv got to replace the power steering pump on my Vectra vxr, would this be the same method as the insignia vxr? 🤔
Hi Mate, can you please teach me, how removed pulley from the steering pump?
Hello, Thanks for the Nice video’s on your channel. Im watching them always. Im a owner of a VXR/OPC with an Haldex. Having problems at the moment. When driving long distance the haldex is causing problems. Recently I services the haldex with new oil/filter and pump. Because of feeling the haldex in slow corners. After service it was gone. But now it came back. Any ideas What it might be?
👏👏👏
Can I contact you in any way mate? I’m having major juddering/skipping at low speeds when turning and I believe it’s the clutch plates. Would like some advice. Cheers.
Very good video. I just don't understand where you fill the oil in the Haldex. If you could show me, I would be very grateful. greetings from Germany
Are you on my Facebook group 'insignia modified' ? If so drop me a message
Hello. I have an insignia 2.0 T, 2009, 4x4. My haldex oil has leaked and is filling my differential. I read on the forums that valuable things should be replaced. 1.13334079-the grand semmering of the differential. 2.13296280 - differential pinion bushing (from Haldex). 3.22956728-Haldexa piston. It is clear about the seals of the Haldex and the differential, but why should the piston of the Haldex be changed?
Where could i find them clutches? Im from the usa but looking to buy spare parts for our saab. Its currently not working. No cel has came up. The issue is unknown currently
Have you got the link for the bushing press? And the frames and bushings? Thanks 🙏 great video
Feel your pain mate with the down pipe bracket😡
Hi bud,is the diff oil same as transfer box oil?just about to strip the underneath of my vixer, and gonna be doing haldex while I’m at it.
No, Insignia have eLSD special LS Oil
Hi. Im a new subscriber. How often do the haldex units need servicing milage depending? & is it true that the haldex unit was upgraded on the facelift insignia vxr around 13 plate or 14 onwards. Im looking at a 16plate vxr right now. The anxiety of what could go wrong is a slight turn off but i really would love one. Just looking for reassurance i guess mate
excellent presentation, thank you very much
Great video and should help mechanic when he does mine
Cheers buddy 👌
Hi interesting video, just acquired one of these interesting VXR's myself, Im not getting any noise or errors, yet but think its only a matter of time, it does feel kind of funky when under power at the rear The front end of Haldex looks fairly straight forward to strip and rebuild, where do you get the parts? Would be really interested to see a more detailed strip down of the LSD itself would like to see what fails in them, and why, usefull video, cheers
Thanks, I've only seen the clutch kit for sale through racing diffs and service kits through most car parts sales places. I will be doing another video in the short future when I rebuild the spare haldex 👍
Hello mate. I've got the racing diffs upgrade for the haldex. I haven't got round to installing them yet. Have you had any problems with the upgraded clutch discs?
I did have with the origional kit yes, they lasted 800miles. They replaced with a new set though. I'm saving the new set for when I rebuild the spare haldex
Hi, I’ve got a 2011 2.0 CTDI VX line one day I turned it off and it’s never started again. It turns over and over but it won’t actually start. Do you have any ideas as I’ve tried everything I’ve been told so far
Could be a number of things, have you posted this issue on our insignia modified group?
Cheers buddy
Cracking start to the video mate. No arsing about either, straight in and done. You made it look easy
Good Video but the music is way too loud…
Thanks for the feedback 👌
Good video! I just bough one Insignia with an Haldex unit and seems that at some point, a few years ago someone changed the pump and maybe serviced the unit. Now I drowe the car only a few meters and I can hear a strange noise from the rear right side. If you have a clue, can you please let me know? Many thanks
Have you serviced the haldex since?
@@insigniamodified No, I just changed the oil from the diff
You need to open your own garage mate seriously. Impressive stuff!
Lol
Are you using the original clutch pack or the racing diffs one when you build it back up? Mines got the racing diffs pack in but my front wheels judder under any hard acceleration or turning at low speed....not sure why, I imagine that coating from the pack that creates the sludge in the oil wont be doing it any good....likely put the original one back in. Top video👍
It has an origional back in now, RacingDiffs were good enough to send a replacement kit out as the first one only lasted 800 miles
@@insigniamodified how did you contact them, get nothing from emails, sent 3 now ha.
@pobpob5561 it was through email. office@racingdiffs.com
Smooth boot looks A treat
Cheers, I like to be different
Awesome work👍👍👍
Nice update
Paintwork 🤌🤌🤌
Pics and videos don't do it justice mate. Looks even better in the flesh. Massive hats off to you
No new updates?
We have soon, had a few personal things going on but ready to let you guys know the updates
Hi mate. Do you remove everything from the original clutch plate housing, like the thicker top and bottom plates and replace with the full racing diffs pack? Thanks, great video.😀
I used the thicker plates too
Same here, I'm getting juddering from the front wheels at low speed when turning, any ideas what that could be?
Curious on wiring differences and bcm response

This was very helpful, specifically the headliner repair. Thanks! Keep up the good work 👌
Good job.
Keep up the good work mate. Can't wait to see it in person
I didn't expect an insignia to look like this, good job mate🎉
