Great content, as always! Hope you are well and still in the rc game.
It's got to much orange peel
This is such a good test most of these videos don’t really use the scientific method keep it up
Way too big on that C10
It went from grip test to burnout test real fast 😂
I remember my first brushed motor
I've got 2 of them, so much fun!
best tire test I ever seen
Hope this project is still alive, enjoying your testing vids
The receiver is what will burn up an stop working before your motor asks for raise
My son got an fcx24 smasher v2 for xmas yesterday and it is rediculously fun. Now i am looking at the powerwagons like crazy.
P r o m o s m ☀️
Paint is way too thick
68mm dj crawlers...nice n squidgy
high quality evaluation. can you try the 68mm Dj Crawler 'Mud Pins'. thanks
These tires have 57mm and 64mm versions. If you could compare them it would be great to see if different tire sizes makes any changes.
i’m about to run these on a lc80 fcx18
When you showed the scale I was thinking about a loadcell together with an arduino to collect the data and then you reveal your plan and I was really excited! It is really awesome to see this technical approach and now I have a new project for my arduino. Thanks for the amazing video!
I ground down the edge of one of those included wheel wrenches so they fit in there with the screws
Great video I’m thinking of getting one
I have these wheels and they are perfect. You need to upgrade the servo and engine for the SCX24 but then everything works great way lower center of gravity on the deadbolt
So when is the tire testing gonna resume??
Soon! The studio has been getting revamped. Just finished paint!
I have the injura 180 48t pro motor with the low gearing and those brass wheels and tires on the trx 4m and it works absolutly great, but be careful with stripping the stock diff gears as I did, just get a set of steel gears
Hell yeah brother you just earned yourself a subscription! Haven't seen anybody taking tire testing to this extreme and am damn glad to see it! While you're at it, test out Injoras new S5 Swamp Claw Mud Terrain tires!!
Hey have you tested and lgrp tires?
I should have bought those instead of the steel injora ones and a cheap electric screwdriver like the wow stick made putting in the screws much simpler.
Seeing that many fiddly tiny screws scared me. I've been using glue on preassembled wheels and tires. I think the beadlocks limit tire sidewall flex a little. That's a crawler dreams are made out of, absolute perfection.
Dude I’ve been waiting forever to see this update. If we’re getting THIS in depth…. Make sure the surface and tires are at a controlled temperature 😁 in a poorly insulated garage the summer heat could have slightly different results from the cold of winter. Especially if the testing surfaces used (rocks and wood) sit out there getting cold/hot before being used for testing
That is a very good consideration, and something I have thought about. In fact, I'm planning on testing tires under those circumstances specifically.
@@cncrc man that’ll be an awesome video! what about foams? Maybe use some sort of printed insert (could be a pain because of different tire sizes) to keep the foam variable constant?… could even remove foams all together? I feel like using stock foams wouldn’t really test the tire as much as the foam supporting the tire but no foams could also hurt a soft tire that would perform great with some internal support
That is another thing I'm planning on doing. I've actually already designed my own 3d printed inserts to test with.
@@cncrc this sounds like the best and by far most comprehensive test ever! Do you have a timeframe in which you want to complete the test rig? I’m dying to see it!
Big thanks to you 👍
i really hope this blows up to see this grow to 1/10th scale i have 2 scx24s and im planning on a tenth scale truck some time soon and finding tires for that will probably be the hardest since i wont be running in the some places all the time cause of family trips ect i really find the math and seicne of this cool and would also like to see more def subbing
Thanks for the sub! I'd like to do some 10th scale stuff, but just can't yet.]
a slick foam insulator for doors also called here gap stuff
Nice bro!!! Looking forward to your findings. 👊✌️
I'm interested to see what the findings look like.
Lube them up when mounting. Just rub the bead with a little soapy water.
Please a "wet Rock" (river rock) tire test! Today my favorite 1.0 on wet rock are RC4WD Mud Slingers and Rock Terrain Injoras S5 !
Try LGRP tires. Little Guy Racing Parts
One of the best tires (Rock Terrain) beside RC4WD Mud Slingers i run on wet rocks! Next please test "Littel guy" tires!
Ehhh, mud slingers are way too knobby for actual rock crawling in my opinion… more for loose dirt and mud. if they break loose whatsoever it makes the car super jumpy and choppy on rocks
I got these 2 😊
Big thanks 👊
if you think the heaviest wheels is a must have then this is a horrible channel and your judgement is shit and everything you say must be questioned. that makes for a useless channel and one i will never watch.
I never saw a need to do anything but tires and wheels. I'd rather be crawling rock, then upgrading everything all the time. I like birds
It’d be so cool to see this done with 1/10th scale tires! It’d be best to use some kind of printed foam to control that variable
I'm planning on doing that if I ever get back into 10th scale. I am currently re-vamping the test rig because I realized that the testing media introduced variables.
Hey mate could you please show us how you changed the steering wheel on your transmitter thanks
Sure! I'll do a short video on that.
What if you were able to get some flat rocks like some slate or even a paving stone? I think it may make your tests more scientific if the truck was always pulling on a flat plane vs an arched rock.
I agree. I'm re-working the rig to prevent inconsistencies like this.
Great idea. Looking forward to see the results. Just curious, how did you find the rubber compounds of the injora tires? When I look at the website it just says "super soft rubber"
They have a spec section further down the page. To find where that spec sits in the lineup, I found a chart on their Amazon listing of all things. They really could do a better job of things like that.
@@cncrc I did some digging after this and I do see that they list it on a lot of their 1.0 tires but not really on the 1.9 inch ones. Maybe they're starting to make stuff better as they come up with new products.
Good job man
Thanks!
That's craziest man Scott 10,000 views on this in four months and does not have 1000 subscribers at least we should all support one another
Incredible testing. Thanks man!
Thank you! I'm going to be branching out into servo testing next.
This intro is really good 👍🏼
It's one of my favorites of all time, I'm glad you enjoyed it as well.
love it! Amazing testing. I’m addicted. Just getting into the small crawlers and this is sooo helpful. Saves us newbie a ton of money not having to test all the tires. Thanks for your efforts and Info.🎉
Thanks! I'm glad I could help.
Wow! Nice Job! Best test I’ve seen. Subscribed.🎉
Thanks for the sub!
Just got into the 1/24 scale! All I can say is I really enjoy it. It all started with my nephew getting a brand new scx24 gladiator for $50! Then my sons poppa bought him a jeep then I bought the bronco, papa brought him and grandma a c10 and deadbolt! Then bro n law bought xc1. Fun little things!! Good hobby to get into
It's very fun. It also snowballed like that for me.
