In my violin I use a 415 hz . 4 sharp string . I feel it's better than 440.

415 Hz is G# so a semitone down from A 440. Stevie Ray Vaughn tuned his guitars down a semitone. 432 Hz is the hoax frequency LOL. In reality, it's just a slightly flat A.

440hz is a dissonant frequency so why the international standard is this frequency baffles me. There's plenty of proof and discussions about it. 415hz sounds very thin at least to my ears but if that is the sound you're going for that's fine. 432hz to me sounds warmer and fuller bringing out all of the harmonics related to the notes being played giving a much bigger impression of sound. Having said all this room temperature and humidity play a big part not only of their effect on the instrument but also of the sound travelling through the air in those conditions to your ears. Its all relative and depends on your personal preference. Everybody is different and will have a different experience even under the same conditions

415 was more common when the instrument was invented: "415 tuning, or A=415, is a lower pitch tuning where the A above middle C is tuned to 415 Hz. It is often used in historically informed performances, especially for music from the Baroque period and earlier."

415 sounds the best, but who is to say you tuned it perfectly? Also, without frets your playing is subjective. Guessing at where to put your finger.

That 432hz just sits right where I need it to.
