This story is one of my favorite stories of all time, and this version by Pablita Velarde is definitely a great retelling. While the version I grew up with is slightly different, the essence has stayed the same. "Turkey Girl" actually appears in the story I'm releasing in 2025, called "Through The Spiral," as a guide for the protagonist. ^_^
