Who's holding your phone?
My camera man. (Me) lol
@PapaTony5340 I just wondered cause I watched some of your videos and I'm saying, how in the hell is he recording this and doing this work and walking around? It doesn't look like you're holding your phone. 😀
Капец... I have never thought about screw in 50s.
my dad had 1
My dad Said they used to use speed wrenches whenever he first started to install them in the 70s
Creeping Charley in the bush
Very cool. How do you like the invicta doors?
In 1736 Benjamin Franklin said “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Just oil it up
I didn't know Clopay was in Ohio, I thought Wayne Dalton was the only door manufacturer in Ohio 😂.
@@theericfreeze1493 Clopay Haas and I think CHI are in ohio
@@theericfreeze1493 and o can’t forget Invicta door
@@PapaTony5340 I forgot about CHI.
Hell yea brother awesome video
Appreciate it thanks man
R8
Looks good. Little tight but that’s like my wallet 😂 cheers 🍻
I would say R-4
Yeah, I was thinking less than R6
That is going to be around 65-69. Very similar to the Sioux 72 I always talk about. There's also a Sioux 70 that looks exactly like this but has a orange case with stickers on the side. It also was of had a plastic cover for the light. These were also labeled as Crusader and Montgomery Ward
I suspect the ladder
Good video Tony I will have to say I learned something new today thanks man keep them coming!
The Champion Mayflower model
I would say late 60s
@@RichB0330 yeah I was going to guess 50s or 60s. Is that something you would’ve installed?
I don’t know how you old you are rich. Don’t take that as an insult.
@@PapaTony5340 I’m 60
@@RichB0330 yeah I’m thinking you’re too young to be hanging that old of an operator lol
The old baby… oxymoron 😂

I like those top fixtures over the 2 bolt ones much easer and I feel they stay straighter when you tighten them!
@@tannermanwarren13 yes in their 12 gauge very nice
Used the app today when converting to high cycle springs
Are those 14 gage hinges?
@@rustybridges4302 yes 14 gauge on hinges and 12 gauge on top bracket
one thing that would be nice is if the bottom roller were long stem
Amazing
That’s the place you need for all your garage door needs. Great people great service.
The one stop shop
wish mine was closer but I use them in a jam
Thanks Tony, I appreciate you.
I’m confused about this whole change, can you use the old 315 to 390 remotes when you do this or does it only work with the current remotes?
@@EvansGarageDoorServices Evan only works with the current stuff that has the MC behind the part number or model number the 2023 and on
@@PapaTony5340 that’s what I was assuming, would’ve been a bit weird if you could use the 970 series with the new units
I have told a customer how to do this while sitting in a restaurant so he could break into his own house🤣
@@rustybridges4302 went to customers house they were having a problem with their 8500. I locked them out of their own house. I was able to take my spring gauge and hook it to the red cord pull it through and pushed deadbolt over with it.
Do that's why they give you a electric deadbolt.
@@theericfreeze1493 8900 W does not come with a deadbolt. If you notice on the deadbolt, it has a handle on each side. You can take your spring gauge and slide that lock over while standing outside.
Wouldnt that be an L arm
There aren't very many wayne daltons in my area so we don't do these too often. Always glad to see a torquemaster get replaced though
On the older chamberlains you can hit the yellow button twice and run the door a full cycle to reset the force without having to reset the limits
slow calculated work...equals no rollbacks, appreciate how you took your time to do a quality install
That’s an interesting way of doing it.
Rusty it’s the way to go. It prevents callbacks and looks great every time.
Tony you need to look into sum Zippo hand warmers
Customers ladder ruined the sensor.
I like the Termanology beat down 😅😊
Why the heck did you leave the car in the garage? That’s just crazy.
@@tomasso883 I usually remove the car from the garage. Sometimes it’s not possible
@@PapaTony5340 oh yeah I forgot like maybe you can’t get the door open because it’s broken and stuck or something who knows anyway nice video
Yup I've taken those out and put the right ones in. The customer was going to deal with the other company to get his money back.
Just throw some pry bars in there and tighten the spring super safe😅
Wham, bam, thank you mam. Thats a way to generate more revenue in 6 months to a year as a heavy door wears out the gears of an operator. This is the test that separates good technicians from the bad. If your door isn't balanced, and stays half way up, immediately call them back and insist they fix it properly. Great PSA Tony!
@@Edward-xj4mp it was the door that I went to a customer was having a problem. I ended up fixing it for him. It stays in all three points now.
@@PapaTony5340 I know you are better than to leave it wrong for customer, I hoped to add some insight for the average person who may see this in the future. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
I’ve been avoiding the smart keypads because from what I read the rechargeable batteries hate temperatures colder than -10 degrees Celsius
But they charged the customer $600😢
I’ve heard anywhere from 750 to 1500 Rich😢
Great job 👍 Thanks for sharing 😁
Since the cables are different on those doors is it a specific conversion kit that’s used on those doors when you want to convert to torsion?
How could you take down that Beautiful torque master 😂 Any idea how old the TorqueMaster was? TM probably outlast that torsion spring. Just kidding.
@@affordabledoorgatellc7391 if you watch that full video, you’ll get a see the why I call myself Papa Tony lol it sucks getting old!!!
That’s as close as I can get to live as possible. I posted when I was still in the customers garage.
Tony you need a platform ladder your feet will thank you
