Unfassbar, wie Bach immer wieder völlig losgelöst vom Instrument "funktioniert". Flöte schmerzt normal schon fast meinen Ohren, aber diese Darbietung ist wundervoll 👏

Das Largo e dolce klingt schöner, wenn das Tempo etwas geringer ist.

Ist das wirklich der alte Bach? Nicht eher ein Frühwerk von CPE Bach für Violine und Cembalo? Der Cembalist spielt hervorragend.

Friends! Quit playing Bach or any other baroque respectively classical music on a modern flute. Cembalo and a modern flute do not go together. That is horrible 🙉

@@michaelfaust4403 Sehr geehrter Herr Faust, ich antworte Ihnen am besten einmal auf Deutsch, in meiner Muttersprache. So entstehen auch keine Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten.... Ich hatte einmal eine sehr, sehr schöne CD von Barthold Kuijken und Ewald Demeyre, auf der die beiden Bachsonaten für Flöte und Cembalo eingespielt haben, und zwar auf historischen Instrumenten. Desto mehr verwundert es mich, dass Barthold Kuijken die Kombination zwischen moderner Querflöte und Cembalo mag und sogar empfohlen hat, Sonaten von J. S. Bach und seinen Söhnen in eben dieser Kombination zu spielen. Ich persönlich finde, wie ich bereits in dem ersten Kommentar schrieb, dass ein Cembalo nicht mit einer modernen Querflöte zusammen passt, weil das Cembalo von der Flöte vollkommen übertönt wird. C P E Bach homework from his father !
The composer is Bach number two son Carl Philipp Emanuel.
It's probably true. The clue is that along with BWV 1031 and BWV 1033, compared to the violin sonatas BWV 1014-1019, the harpsichord writing for the left hand is fairly straightforward. The manuscripts are in CPE Bach's hand and only in figured bass. In contrast, the violin sonatas have both parts written out, albeit not by Bach but by Johann Heinrich Bach, and are much more challenging to play. Also, there are stylistic elements in the writing that suggest the Empfindsamer Stil. This said, they are still beautiful pieces.

This version is much more satisfying than the opus 25 trio - the piano part "fills out" the parts with a depth the trio doesn't have. Also, what a wonderful thing to hear it played on a fortepiano similar to Beethoven's. The piece has a lightness of being that modern grands can't always imitate. Best performance of the work on UA-cam, bravo!
