So sorry for your loss, losing your parents is something you never completely get over, the loss is always there, only time makes you get use to it. Aurora is putting the anger she feels regarding the state of the world in her music, I love angry Aurora, she channels her anger into the most beautiful thing. As for her being more sensual, it was always there, just more innocently subdued, she owns it now. She does believe that the happy, as you said, lol, should not be shaming, the "dirty little secret" is a natural act of us being human. Thanks, love this song and this performance.

The biggest surprise of this performance for me are her darker eyebrows with the notch cut in them, and this outfit. Aurora has been talking a lot about anger lately. It's like, how many times can you ask nicely for something before you start getting angry? A friend of mine interviewed Aurora in July, and I was able to submit a question for Aurora. The questions was "When you do feel most comfortable on stage?" and she answered "When I'm angry." 😂

Sorry for your loss. 🫂 I feel like this is a bit too "on the nose," compared to the album version, but it does have some subtle differences that I appreciate. There is a little more aggression in this performance. I also really appreciate Amalie and Thea on background vocals here. Of course, Aurora does her own female background vocals in her studio recordings, and Amalie and Thea don't sound out of place here at all.

That wasn't' Gene Kelly, it was James Cagney. The dance Cagney did down the stairs, in "Yankee Doodle Dandy", was an improvisation by Cagney and the director left it in. Her name is Debbie Reynolds. She was pregnant with Carrie when she made this film. All the actors in the 'studio' system had to sing and dance, whether they were any good at it or not. Check out Clark Gable singing "Puttin on the Ritz". And Laurel and Hardy dancing in "Way Out West".

It is still difficult for me to find joy. But, since then my youngest girl has added another daughter and my eldest daughter had her first baby, , our first grandson, after years of trying. They mean everything to me and are why I'm still here. Even though he looks just like my husband and it makes me cry sometimes. It gets me too. We always had our grandparents and then parents and now they’re gone. We’re the old ones now and I’’m feeling it. Fjallsjökull which is part of the bigger glacier reaches down to the water of the lake and some ice-bergs are drifting by on its surface. The glacier calving into the lagoon is a part of Vatnajökull National Park and the better known glacier lake Jökulsárlón is not far from there. From the glacier lake Breiðárlón a little river flows into the Fjallsárlón. Above, there is looming the volcano Öræfajökull. It's true time flies and in a blink your kids are adults and you are officially old, you don't feel old inside, but your body doesn't work as well and you just have to be thankful that you've lived as long as you have because many don't get the chance for a long life. Be thankful for the friends you have connected with and your family and all the great experiences you've enjoyed in this life. I hope you have a pleasantly happy Thanksgiving this month. I mentioned this cover on your reaction to "The Blade". I only found out about this cover fairly recently. It wasn't until I heard this cover that I realized how similar their voices could be. This is one cover that Aurora didn't take a ton of liberty on, compared to other covers, but I think it's still perfect. I hadn't heard this song in years, but I immediately recognized it and knew every word. I grew up listening to Alanis in the 90's, and I lived in Detroit, so we shared radio stations with Ontario. Needless to say Alanis was one of the most played artists on our local radio.

I'm not sure if I misunderstood you, but did you mean that it was prerecorded or that you would have preferred to be there in person? The performance was recorded live on-site. Except for the distant panoramic shots, everything was filmed during the recording, and the piano had to be tuned right at the location. There is a behind-the-scenes clip that shows the piano tuner at work while Aurora warms Jacob's hands so he can play in the cold. Collier mentioned that it was too cold for him to play as much as he usually does, and he had to make some compromises. Their voices naturally trembled due to the low temperature. Although some parts were structurally preplanned, much of it was improvised on the spot, reflecting Aurora's free-spirited nature. 😊
