I have the Avant 906i's, and they do sound remarkably musical, with a really good presence, separation, and soundstage. They are a very forward sounding speaker, and vocals sound very natural, especially with some good lounge jazz. I also tried a pair of Aviano 6's, but they weren't a patch on the Avant's imo. The Avianos sounded loose, and muffled, and they were really difficult to position correctly. I could be sitting dead centre between the two speakers, and found that the sound seemed to be coming more from the left speaker. It was weird, but I didnt enjoy the Aviano's anything like the Avant's. I used the same Onkyo receiver to drive both sets of speakers, so its not like I changed my amp as well as the speakers. I now use the Avant's in my bedroom, and I have a pair of Monitor Audio Silver floorstanders in my main Listening/viewing room. The Aviano's? I sold them to somebody else, within weeks of buying them. Thats the difference between British made speakers, and Chinese made I guess. Chinese made speakers replicate sound. Whereas British made speakers replicate sound, ambience, and EMOTION, very well! 👍 By the way, I think French🇨🇵 made Focal speakers are very good too, but I am British, so I am biased towards some British 🇬🇧 products.

How much power can the speakers take? How loud do you take them easily?

Did you send the polydomes to miller sound? Do they have the original crossovers in them?

What’s a beautiful white woofers?

They sound clear and very very realistic. Une of the best loudspeakers ever projected. Frequency response flat and guaranteed without surprises. Need an adequate ampli.

I have the Avant 906i, and they are a great sounding, musical speaker. They sound quite three dimensional, and excel with acoustic music, with rich detail. I run mine with an Onkyo receiver, not quite as elaborate as this set up, but it works for me.

I’ve heard this same song on the thiel cs 7 and the thiels sound much better in the mids. Much more tactile and deeper in the bass. Just as clear. Kappa 9’s still rock for fun for surez

I just love accuphase equipment. It's what I'm lusting after. Along w/ accuphase dp450 cd player. Wired with ballanced cables. I can feel the toe tapping. Big smile happening already

Sounds great. I have a beautiful pair of these... my neighbor bought them new, put them at the curb when the polydomes went. I had them reconed by a guy in Pennsylvania for $85 each. I think they sound great, very nice to listen to with no fatigue. My other larger speakers are a pair of Klipsch Chorus II that I purchased new in 1990 (15" woofer + 15" passive radiator), and a pair of Klipsch Heresy 1. My main question is... how loud do most people drive them? I hear everyone talking about blowing amps, but I have been driving these for 2 years in bi-amp mode with an Onkyo TX-SR608 (100 wpc x 7), and everything is fine even at high volumes. I did try them with my Crown DC-300A, and yes it had significantly more punch (like the lights dim on bass notes punch), but I wouldn't drive them that hard too often anyhow. Cheers.
