To me, he's just being hypocritical and just trying to assert his "authority" as an elder thinking he can control the youth. Keep recording. Though I'm not a fan of buses as I'm more into the trains, I'm a big fan of your channel.

Hello Erin the bus driver is correct. You have to get permission from the passengers and bus operators. I went to law school and you could be sued by the bus operators and passengers. You could possibly be banned from CTA even though it's public transportation. I'm also a journalist and I need permission from CTA to film on their buses and passengers.

It's crazy with all the controversy in the comment section. You're a strong person for standing up agenst thoes women and the driver. The first thing I would have done when the women confronted you is explained that you have an interest in public transit systems in filming buses. Every time I've been asked filming on a bus I always explain that I am an enthusiast and normally they understand. If the women felt uncomfortable they could have moved to a different Seat on the bus. I have the feeling that the women made up a lie about you filming them for the entire ride or something hence why the driver confronted you that way. The driver probably didn't understand that you were filming the bus and not them. It also seemed to drive her was too selfish to realize that nor listen to you. This is a public space with security cameras in just about anything and everything is uploaded to social media. Therefore you have every right to film on a public bus. I'm on your side.

I love seeing some of my coworkers are so worked up about a camera but they're okay with people playing their loud music, drinking and eating on public transportation. You're more than welcome to film on my bus routes whenever you want.

i don’t think you know what permission is. i ask for permission to record on any bus i ride. i don’t record buses without their consent because if i record someone that gets on that bus and they mistakenly reports me for recording a bus, i will be in trouble, like you did with your other video with the 3 girls. they were in the right, you were in the wrong. they have all rights to ask you to stop recording. not to mention, you also recorded them too, so even if you WERENT recording them intentionally you did, as shown in your thumbnail for it. please stop being a complete idiot towards people who don’t want to be recorded. it doesn’t matter if it’s a public bus either so don’t pull that up for an excuse.

The girls on the bus were annoying. You should have the right to record the bus no matter what. I wouldn’t record the whole bus. I would record just the windows on the left or right. That happened to me one time and I got put off the bus cuz of it but, I wasn’t fully banned by NJ Transit.
