I bought this book like 10yrs ago, I think, it's in my bookcase somewhere, and never had a read. Thankful that its on YT, cos audiobooks are how I consume my scifi now. I really like the story now that I've gotten around to listening to it. Thank you Mr Falconer

Great narrator but jeez worst Welsh accent I have ever heard.

Note to narrator - Australians mostly say “arfter” not “affter”.

I'm an hour in and, if you don't count the shepherd conversations at the beginning, there's a very small amount of conversation by the characters, feels like 98% narration in a retrospective style. Perfectly fine for world building or giving details, but it takes a bit away from the driving of the story, loss of that sense of urgency. Getting a bit distracted by other things, so I think I should pause and come back when I can focus more on the plot.

I can't believe it took me such a long time to give this a try. It's been in my listen folder for almost a year and I've loved your other work. I guess, from the title & illustration I was imagining The Martian, but with alien body snatchers... so weird. This was really wonderful though. I love the way we fall into the exciting world of big business tech. Juicy and delicious. And, thank you!

No wonder I was so lost, this is book 7 but the title says book 1 of a trilogy. Really threw me off
