@Creality3DScanner thanks for reaching out but it still doesn't change the fact that the issues with it, everyone is having. Google it. The cr touch will not work when hooked up to the board. Has to be wired separately, and the cr touch need to have the off sets re set as it goes off the print bed. And the cr touch is at almost the exact same hight as the print nozzle. I have to take apart the whole print head to make the cr touch have enough play in its brackets to give it more clearence. It would run into the print........

Same problem here. Raptor + Samsung S10.

Hello! The purpose of the scan is to get the dimensions of the Airpods so that you can come and design any model you want.

My Samsung S10 does the trick. An old Xiaomi M1 does not. The android version seems to be the bottleneck.

Yes it's true; marker hole filling, points optimize, best fit, mesh optimize etc etc.. Shining software better than it. But I trust creality software's team, I hope they fixing all problems and that will do development it. The most problem is: if you scanning (etc) pipe similar part and must 3 scan it, the scanning mesh's ends, it is changing dimensions.

There was no difference in the size of the models scanned by the two scanners.

Metro X is not ready for prime time, it has serious data aquisition problems, you have lot of beams but very weak intensity and point cloud capture takes forever. Raptor is way faster, would be interesting to see but Raptor would win

my guess is the exposure not allow to see the white and matte black at the same time, but I do want to know if RaptorX able to change the exposure during print so it can finish off the matte black features or this need another scan and merge later on

The RaptorX performs equally well when scanning matte black objects. In this case, the sunlight had an impact on the results, but adjusting the exposure settings can significantly improve the scan quality. ​@@fanstein9581 The RaptorX allows for real-time adjustment of exposure values during the scanning process.

Also might be worth noting that the Raptor X was using the crossed-lines mode as opposed to the 7 parallel-lines that the Raptor used which is designed to be used for large objects like the bumper being scanned. The Raptor X also has the ability to operate in the 7 parralel-lines mode as well, which is designed for greater detail of smaller objects. I would imagine the mesh file scanned by the Raptor would have more details than the Raptor X for this reason and also would be a larger file. I use a Raptor X and it does a pretty good job of scanning in relation to other scanners on the market within the same class (consumer/hobbyist); but if you do not plan on scanning larger objects and want to save a couple thousand dollars, the Raptor is more than adequate IMO. I would also take a look at the Otter if you do not want to deal with scanning markers.

Hello! Raptor currently does not support the use of laser mode for cell phones. In addition, the wireless connection does not need to connect to the router, the bridge comes with wifi, and the wireless connection with the computer is within 5 meters.

Did you see how they clamped in on the outer surface and the value didn’t change. And how they clamped out on the inner diameter and the caliper value didn’t change lol they froze the value on the calipers. Very deceiving

@@motormesh-shop after update on 3.3.4 my raptor will not even scan in laser mode. So I downloaded an older version and then the older version wanted update and I accepted it and it worked, But I was surprised not to find anything about that issue. Dont worry the tool is just fine.

Your problem may be caused by a lack of memory, because the number of point clouds displayed when scanning is only a part of the number, the actual number depends on the number of final processed. We recommend that you don't scan at too high a resolution.

Also please try to update to the newest software V3.3.4

Which scanner would you like to use to scan portraits? We recommend that you use Creality Otter to scan for portraits with the parameters set to: Body and Geometry.

Yes, we perform two scans by creating a new scan group and then merge them together.

@@Creality3DScanner Please revert back the answer from your sw department because this is the most annoying issue existing since beginning when using the raptor. The problem was also reported from cnckitchen in one of his review videos.

I completely understand how you feel! Our software team is working on optimizing this issue. In the meantime, we suggest using marker points for merging to help reduce the chance of misalignment or ensuring that the two sets of scan data have a distinct overlapping area. Based on your workaround proposal i am not sure if you even understood what is the problem (bug) in your SW. The problem is the seamline which is created by cr-scan on the border or every scanned surface. Using marker points does not help at all to solve this problem.

This bike frame is powder coated because it is painted black and is very highly reflective.

Still as he says, a good scanner with blue lasers shouldn't need spray 😁

Hello! We are mainly using the sculpting feature for this project. Blender is able to do it, but we recommend Zbrush more.

Hello! The scanned data is better processed when stored on a computer. You can also store the scanned data on your phone first and subsequently scan the QR code to upload it to your computer.
